For those of you asking...I had Road builder mod but my game was crashing so I've put it on the back burner for now. Train station platforms coming next episode! DH
Dude! Seriously! I've asked this during the CS1 days and I'm asking again - How in the heck are you not the most watched CS TH-camr?! Your builds, your ingenuity, your creativity... it's god tier! We salute you!
I think the road builder mod could help you build that super wide Avenida Presidente Vargas in the downtown. It has center lanes with a high speed limit and outer lanes that act like a local road, with lots of trees. Also the old town looks great, definitely taking inspiration from how you did it for my New Orleans style city.
This really looks like a Brazilian city, which, considering how CS is meant to emulate the US and some parts of Europe, is only possible if you go above and beyond on detailing. And you do. Just a couple tips for realism, as you don't seem to need all that many. 1 - In Rio that old commercial district is mostly made of pedestrianised 18th century streets, so you can use pedestrian streets galore in this build. 2 - The whole point of the cablecar is to take people to the mountain so they can enjoy the views; they trim the vegetation so it doesn't obscure the sea or the city. 3 - Those black grime decals at the plaza make it look like it rained a couple days before and some puddles dried, leaving the gathered soot and dust behind. It's a very particular look. Most of the time the dirt is lighter than that, though. 4 - There are no level crossings left in downtown Rio today. The last one was shut down in the 90s. 5 - The default long term solution to traffic in Rio is tunneling. Keep that in mind. There are at the very least 12 high throughput tunnels in the city, not only underneath the mountains, but also underneath the downtown waterfront and even underneath buildings. Rio is never afraid of infrastructuring its way out of messes of its own making.
mate!?! This is ridiculous, you are pushing this game forward so much. I watched cities skylines for years (even before I found you with minos) and how it progressed was amazing. People have been patient with cs2 and it looks like that's paying of thanks to you, sully etc. You got called a mad man by 2 dollars in a video the other month, he was right. Incredible as always, thanks dude
The build looks great but in tropical areas like Brazil grass and vegetation just grows.. their would be very little hurt areas, if anything it would be unmaintained by being totally over grown.
Amazing work, one of the best CS builds I've seen and certainly the best South American city build in CS that I've seen. Heavily detailed plopped builds are probably my favourite type in CS so I'm really happy YT recommended your channel to me. Been binging it recently. Your detail level reminds me of Fluxtrance's abandoned "Avalon" series. Thank you for the episode and keep up the excellent work! On a side note, how tf did they manage to graffiti up high on the platform walls lmao 19:27
Please add the road builder mod to this city, I think it could add a lot to the city in a multitude of ways that would be really beneficial for the realism and detail portions.
Great video! Btw, somebody made all the buildings and service buildings into props, meaning you can put them anywhere without a road connection, this should help you putting stuff to remote areas without a road.
wow you put so much effort into every little bit of this city! I'm really enjoying this series and I don't want it to end, but I know that when it inevitably does, we'll end up with one of the best and most unique CS builds of all time!
Great work as always. One of my favorite CS2 builds on TH-cam. Sometimes a build can look unrealistic but this takes the cake for something you’d see in real life. 👍
That's another amazing build mate. Truly stunning stuff! The patio you started using is great: it's what I've built custom platforms with but you can get cims sinking into them I found... have you tried out _Walkable_ and _Park_ _Areas_ to get cims free pathing across the area? They will do it so lot as access is available and they want to cross to something on the other side. They can also be drawn in 3D as they are not surfaces. Anyway mate, can't wait for the next one.
Hey, you know the search bar mod thingy? I have issues with that mod, if you have ever had issues with it, could you please tell me? I have no idea why but when i install it, the search popup does not show. Also, good video as always, love it

@BossMan-yu1og Thank you mate. Ima just keep doing what I love

Sadly you cant set speed limits for individual lanes. It does look good
The best new zealandic voice on youtube
So that's where the accent is from

Please do never finish this series! As a Brazilian, I love it!

@leobriccocola8141 Thanks so much mate. Flux was a big inspiration for me when I started out, miss that guy!
Believe me, height wouldn't be a problem for a really determined Brazilian 😂😂😂
Oh Yeah! Another Excellent DH creation!

Meu Deus! Isso está cada vez mais incrível. Você nunca decepciona, DH!😉

Man, the level of detail in this series is insane!

Best city builder and detailer I’ve seen in a long time. Keep it up💪🏼
The real Rio is also building cable cars to better connect the poor hillside neighborhoods, would be cool to also see that aspect included
The traffic... 😭💀
It's very realistic for the real Rio 😆
you once again surprise me with your attention to detail

You're nailing this series
Amazing work!! Congrats!
Detail King ;)
This looks fantastic!
Good job but aren't Brazilians supposed to drive right ?
We really need the copy paste feature back in move it !
you are the best!!!
Move it seems to have the cs1 height and rotate functions now (not the slope sadly)
Hey DH, have you ever considered building Kowloon Walled City? I think it would be a great future build for you.
leave it to cities 2 players to painstakingly make custom assets out of vanilla props
I am waiting for the train station

You are doing it again… even without PO. Will you get back to Piodao?😄CS2
@Andeca0 next episode is done, just need to do the voice over!
That’s great news ❤!
when will you make your map public?
8:23 Uhm train …? Bro?? Is he okay? 😭
I love you
Howd you get a whole football stadium
Couple of episodes or so back... bonkers tuff and LOTS of shipping containers.
Hey bro youve got a strange scratching going on with your mic
It's hard to believe that this joke-of-a-broken-prerelease still looks worse than Cities: Skylines 🤦♂️
we’re gonna look back on this era saying: “hey remember when we built custom things using shipping containers?”
