And that Dark🕶️ fuzz is the best fuzz sound I have ever heard, I am more of a distortion guy myself, but hearing that thing makes me want to go out and buy it.
If you want the exact tone you're referring to- it's a Big Muff being pushed by a BK Butler Tube Driver- using a Strat- of course. You can sub the Devtech audio PowerDriver in for the Butler TD if you like- the PowerDriver is much less expensive and easier to get, and it does the same thing basically. It replaces the 12AX7 preamp tube in the Butler TD with a solid-state solution but- it sounds about the same to my ears.
3:58 "Thank you, and goodnight!" Killer into, gents. I love this series. The amount of interesting pedals out there is astounding and there's no way anyone can know them all.
@@gartgreenside3657 I don't quite have that large a collection, but now that I know Pete has 8 drive pedals on his board, I feel better about having four on mine.
Pete enjoyed the intro. I like seeing you both enjoying each other's company. So darn cool. Good advert for all of the pedals. Good work environment. Love Andertons.
I love all of your videos, but "Tales From The Pedal Cabinet" is my favorite series. Thank you! The Slicer sounds amazing in stereo. And that PJD guitar, wow.
you guys really are the best! ive been curious about the audio melee and the soft focus recently, having them both demoed in one video is truly amazing
Listening to that intro, all I could do was closed my eyes and be taken back to watching “Miami Vice” as a kid (original 80’s no remake crap). Loved it❤
The Slicer is awesome, second only to the way you edit these videso with the overhead pedal shot inlaid on to the main view. its so nice. Great job as always Andertons.
I’d put good money on Darkglass having the best fuzz in the game right now. I have the music man dark ray and it never comes off of the fuzz preamp. SO good!
Exactly my thoughts, I am not a fuzz fan, prefer distortion over fuzz all day everyday, but that thing sounds freekin awesome! I would even try playing metal with it.
WOW! As someone who has never liked the sound of fuzz I think that Darkglass sounds incredible. I don't know what it is, there's just something about that sound that really clicks with me.
I have the Slicer. And it is amazing! Very inspirational! I ply really heavy stuff and this if great for making industrial type stuff! The Boss Slicer is so sikk!
Great Epicsode! It would be fun to include a Miko in one of these for kicks. :) (The Miko review was one of the most entertaining, giggly vids you've ever done.)
I know everyone is creaming themselves over the reverb pedals, but that Slicer SL2 could well be the dark horse of the song-writer's tool kit. To be be able to make your guitar playing sound like its accompanied by your own electronic drums and unlock that rhythm really opens your music away from pub rock into other genres.
Darkglass stuff sounds great with guitar! I had a vintage microtubes which sounded fantastic on guitar, better than on bass for me which is why i sold it as i mainly rock the 4 strings.
That's a beautiful freakin' Strat you've got there Lee. Those pedals are outta sight! Loved that tune in the beginning. Very Gilmourish. I guess you're alright as well Pete.😝 Just kiddin'. I love you both! Edit: We have those cheese slicers here in the States.
Sounds incredibly fun as you guys demonstrated but im still a beginner with pedals aside for transparent overdrive I just wouldnt know how to incorporate it let alone use the one with the joystick live without breaking it. Curious to see what other artists create with them.
Seriously 'Momentary Lapse of Reason' vibes with that intro. Awesome! Nice to hear an intro from the Captain too. Killed it!
Exactly what I was thinking

Yes! The Captain killed it and let’s not forget the masterful knob turns. Truly, it felt like a second musician was there.
Possibly the most epic intro to a video ever, amazing playing captain!
It isn't bad at all..
That SL-2 is killer
So much rhythmic fun in a small box ... well done BOSS 👍
Thanks for the good demo!
The sweet smell of a great sorrow lies over the land. That was real cool guys.
3:58 "Thank you, and goodnight!" Killer into, gents. I love this series. The amount of interesting pedals out there is astounding and there's no way anyone can know them all.
I don't even know all the ones I own, let alone all the others.
@@gartgreenside3657 I don't quite have that large a collection, but now that I know Pete has 8 drive pedals on his board, I feel better about having four on mine.
@@JKM395 Mines not that massive either, but I have a big board a a few in boxes that I've never go my head around!
Countless hours of joy will be had moving that stick.
We're still talking about the pedal, right?
:-D
Killer intro..very different from the usual musicality.. awesome sonic mayhem and love the change of pace..good pairing with the slicer🤘🎸🎶
Pete enjoyed the intro. I like seeing you both enjoying each other's company. So darn cool. Good advert for all of the pedals. Good work environment. Love Andertons.

Anderton's TV is easily the BEST channel on YT!
you guys really are the best! ive been curious about the audio melee and the soft focus recently, having them both demoed in one video is truly amazing
Best video intro ever!!!
That looks like so much fun🤘🤘🤘
"Epic-sode" BRILLIANT! 🤘😁
I hope Boss comes out with a SL-200 like they did with the SY series because it's begging for people to be able to save their settings.
The SL-2, a fuzz, and a drum machine could be a one person EDM show with minimal effort. Pretty incredible tech.
Listening to that intro, all I could do was closed my eyes and be taken back to watching “Miami Vice” as a kid (original 80’s no remake crap). Loved it❤
the vibe of the pedal is just surreal
The Slicer is awesome, second only to the way you edit these videso with the overhead pedal shot inlaid on to the main view. its so nice. Great job as always Andertons.
Best intro jam you guys have done. A total “epicsode.”
it's the first two-person guitar pedal.
Intro was Jeff Beck meets Vangelis with a bit of Dire Straits
Pete’s playing is goals! Just play anything great all over the place! I’ll get there
That was abit hand to gland there ! I wouldnt have thought , but - i liked " a Fuzz" for once ! Great sounding little unit,-
I love the opening. Sounds FANTASTIC. What great "inspiration" tools.
All of these are cool ,the joystick thing is very usable and the vector and the slicer the reverb was very good.all unique and fun for long time.
15:20 "hand to gland combat" LOL also, yes it's MAY LAY, as someone who has played a lot of FPS games, I've heard that term a lot lol
Pete trying to wrap his head around reverb into distortion is hilarious. Play him some My Bloody Valentine ASAP.
What a great combination of pedals, is almost my ideal board. It brought me sorrow, watching the intro jam.
Getting some serious sounds with that thing.
Love it.
WOW! As someone who has never liked the sound of fuzz I think that Darkglass sounds incredible. I don't know what it is, there's just something about that sound that really clicks with me.
It's like the 1980s all over again. Fantastic!
Great demo. Best demo of this pedal so far!
Blimey how did I miss the launch of the SL-2? That's brilliant!
Love my slicer especially with the Enzo!
The opening jam made me think of the Michael Mann film Thief with James Caan great movie soundtrack was done by Tangerine Dream.
We lost Pete completely while he was messing with the Slicer. I was really digging it too.
Love the intro. of this video. You guys should do this more often, have a little fun.
I know it's already been said, but yo that effing intro! Who knew the captain was a shoegaze natural?
I had a couple Devi Ever pedals with joysticks probably 12 years ago. I’m surprised that never really caught on.
I have the Slicer. And it is amazing! Very inspirational! I ply really heavy stuff and this if great for making industrial type stuff! The Boss Slicer is so sikk!
Now THAT's the good stuff! What a fantastic intro!
Epic Intro !! Specially at 8 in the morning for me
That Way Huge is freakin' funky! 🕺
Floyd had a similar set up with the azimuth coordinator. Their sound man came up with idea to pan the sound around the venues they played.
@10:46 how dare they not accomodate those extremely thick 4 and 6mm Gravity picks that I use, dangit :P
I was just noodling on my acoustic and this video randomly played itself. Sounds great.
What is that beautiful guitar the Captain is playing in the intro?
Easily your best ever intro.
Fire intro Lee!
I've been eyeing up that SL-2 since they revealed it... I want one sooo bad.
The Captain Wow! Inner sonics, superb!
DJ Pete is in the mix!!!!
Awesome tones! I definitely picked up a Pete Townsend vibe.
That's a great wake up in the morning.
Great Epicsode! It would be fun to include a Miko in one of these for kicks. :) (The Miko review was one of the most entertaining, giggly vids you've ever done.)
Only intro jam I didn't skip. Also I would rock pedal full of only those 5 pedals
Loving the Boss Slicer , its like having a beat machine built into a Guitar
"Why have a knob when you can have a joystick?" - Sigmund Freud
Cool selection of pedals today!
I know everyone is creaming themselves over the reverb pedals, but that Slicer SL2 could well be the dark horse of the song-writer's tool kit. To be be able to make your guitar playing sound like its accompanied by your own electronic drums and unlock that rhythm really opens your music away from pub rock into other genres.
two of your vids I've watched in a row have made me wanna buy something lol its working fellas its working 😂
Soon Pete will have to build a second pedal board. One on the floor, the other kept at waist height for dual-wielding effects.
That’s the fastest I’ve ever bought a pedal after first seeing it. Now to get my head round how the hell stereo works in a live setting.
I use my Boss Slicer pedal a lot!
Wow, that‘s all you need to create a soundtrack for an 80ies science fiction, action or suspense movie! 😁
at one point i thought it was gonna go In The EEEEEVening! *zep riff
Great intro jam - nice selection - attack vector very nice...
Lee's face in the thumbnail is priceless
best outro slicer riffing ever!!
The intro tune is like something that you would hear on an adult film intro set in space
"It's minus 2 degress here." Canadians: "Hold my beer."
Havent even made it past the intro and im about to buy that splicer immediately
annnnnd bought it. man that sweetwater credit card is dangerous
Make me feel like I'm watching an intense scene in a movie
Darkglass stuff sounds great with guitar! I had a vintage microtubes which sounded fantastic on guitar, better than on bass for me which is why i sold it as i mainly rock the 4 strings.
Is this actually a bass fuzz??? If so, I just have a new top item on my wishlist!
@@badbasic yeh I believe it is
All the great guitarists in Bolton had an FX-500.
I wonder if there is going to be a 200-series slicer coming down the line in a year or two.
Pete can entertain people in clubs with just 2 pedals😂😂😂
That's a beautiful freakin' Strat you've got there Lee. Those pedals are outta sight! Loved that tune in the beginning. Very Gilmourish. I guess you're alright as well Pete.😝 Just kiddin'. I love you both!
Edit: We have those cheese slicers here in the States.
The thumbnail for this video is too good 😂
It's crazy how high end sires look and sound. When i started cheap guitars sucked
Pete's Carry On film double entendres are particularly thrusting today...
Cool, my favorite was the fuzz pedal.
Sounds incredibly fun as you guys demonstrated but im still a beginner with pedals aside for transparent overdrive I just wouldnt know how to incorporate it let alone use the one with the joystick live without breaking it. Curious to see what other artists create with them.
Ok. I want a slicer just so I can have a theme song when I walk through my dimly lit hallway.
Souvlaki is an album by Slowdive. They are English ferchrissakes!
It would be interesting to see what Jack and The Maltese Falcon do with this using synths.
10:21 oh 'PICK', I thought Pete said something else 😅
That was killer !!
The slicer! HUGE.
The Captain and Danish Pete produce EDM with pedals. Now I've seen it all :) @3:33
Ok what is that gorgeous 😍 silver strat with the dark chocolate neck and how much is it captain?
I need more like buttons, this was an amazing jam intro. Really is inspiring and made me buy pedals :-)
41'47: that's what a "mean face" looks like!
How would the slicer work if I was using effects from a katana 100 with the footswitch? Would it go in front of the amp or in the effects loop?
Holy Pink Floyd intro.. well done.
thank you..... one of your air raid shelters saved my nans life in ww2... thank you so much
I'm goona get me a piece of that slicer, it's mental.
What are the two guitars that you used in this video?
Well, I'm ready to fire up the bong now, lol.
