Hi Everyone, I hope you like the soap. It's the type of soap that really appeals to my geeky soap nature. If you have any questions or comments please leave them below, I will get back to you. I hope everyone is staying fit and well, stay safe (and wash your hands :-) )
You are wonderful, but I have a question. I am a Dutch girl living in Spain en nowhere I can find freezerpaper here and I wanna go on. Is it possible to use waxpaper or bakingpaper I know you work with silicone, but at the moment it takes awhile before the stuff is here, so I use freezerpaper at the moment., but I have no more, so thats why the question
@@astridfilon4295 Hi Astrid. I think freezer paper and wax paper are very similar. Freezer paper only has wax on 1 side whereas wax paper has it on both. You can use baking paper as well. it will absorb a tiny bit of the oil but not much. I hope this helps, either will be OK until supplies start coming again. Stay safe and well :-)
Thank you so much Renee, it's such a cool technique and I was thrilled that the piping came out. I spent quite a while trying to plan how to make the piping gel, luckily it worked. Stay safe and well :-)
Thank you so much Stan, aw, I'm sure you won't make a mess, and hey, how much mess can you make with a no-colour soap :-) Stay safe and well and thank you for all the comments you've been leaving for me :-)

@@IDreamInSoap yes i actually got some oils yesterday but still waiting on some of them. I've wrote down so many recipes and stuff like that and have done SO much research on this. And I really think I can do this. I always managed to make pretty melt and pour which I know isn't hard but ive been adding natural honey and oats. Even added lilac buds to a lilac soaps. @@bowmanfamily9861 Woohoo, how exciting, don't play down melt and pour, to make some pretty soaps with it can be very tricky. So excited for you for your 1st CP soap. I love this one. I am a fan of very subtle swirls and geeky technical things this one definitely ticks both of those boxes. Isn't Auntie Clara's blog fascinating? I could read that all day, well I have in fact done that. LOL
Love the spoon idea. I've been making 100g batches for specific inbeds,I have to use my frother, as the big boy won't fit. I can't see emulsion on my frother.
Wonderful job & beautiful soap! Your technical “geeky” type of teaching really helps me to understand things I’ve not been able to understand by just reading. Even though I love to read I’m still more of a “have to see” to actually understand some things. I’ve read the blog before but wasn’t sure I could do it. With your teachings I do believe those that ask for unscented soap can still have pretty swirls instead of just plain soap now. 😊 Thank you & Auntie Clara for this fascinating process.
AW, thank you so much, I'm so pleased that my video helped you. It is a really fascinating technique and Aunty Clara has some brilliant blog posts doesn't she. I hope you do have a go at it, stay safe and well :-)
Brilliant, that was so interesting. Amazing that water can make such a difference to the colour. I love the piping and as I have never done it before it was a great learning lesson. Thank you
Wow! Thank you! I’m familiar with Auntie Clara’s site and it is worth a read. It’s a beautiful day here in sunny south FL. Looking out the window you can almost pretend . . . Stay safe!
Thank you Micol, isn't she fantastic, I find her blogs and 'experiments' not really sure that's the correct word amazing. Ooh Florida sounds lovely. I was suppose to be coming over there at the end of April, I was going to stay with a soapy friend and we were going to have a few days making soap together. My flights haven't been cancelled yet but I think there's zero chance it will happen :-( You stay safe and well too.
Thank you Deborah, oh goodness me now that could be tricky I can't imaging even your cool oven would go that low, you could be better off just wrapping your loaf in a towel of something to add some insulation and just leave it out of the oven. Stay safe and well :-)
Absolutely stunning! I love the style of your videos Lisa. You are really great at making everything so easy to understand and you are a great teacher.
Oh, your hair looks great! It always looks great, but I do love what you've done with it. Congrats on your successful ghost swirl! They turned out great! It's a fun technique for sure!
Thank you so much Whittany. Funny thing with my hair, I needed to dye it (you can actually see in the video when I'm piping all my roots are showing :-) ), trying to get hair dye here at the moment is a nightmare, I guess as all the hairdressers are shut everyone's now doing their own. Ordered several lots and none has turned up yet, even though they have delivery dates (now passed). So the other day Paul, my partner was in a supermarket and he knew I was trying to get some, so without knowing what I use, he bravely made a choice and brought 2 boxes home for me, what a star :-)
Brilliant! I am reading Scientific Soapmaking to better understand what actually happens when making soap. It is written by a chemist and my head is swimming, but I am gaining insight. Once the swirl in my head settles, I want to try this swirl. It is beautiful and I so appreciate your detailed videos. 😊
Hey Ann Marie, ooh yes I can imagine the swimming head, I think the book's quite hard work, but if you are one of those people (like me) who like to know the 'why' to things it's worth it. Thank you for your kind comment, keep safe and well
@@IDreamInSoap wow, such a sign of the times! 50 years from now, people will be able to look and see the effect of covid even in replies as simple as this..."stay safe" how often it crops up now in every day life!
Oh wow, I'm going to have to try this when I get a proper loaf mold. I'm still working out of cardboard boxes. I've been having too much fun with the science to mess much with colorants and I'm trying to stick to a strict budget, so this looks perfect. Once I'm consistent with my cold process results, I'll try CPOP, then I'll try this!
@@clarewhite3004 Het Clare, it will be fine, you are putting to oven on it's lowest setting and turning it off when you put the soap in. If it worries you just try wrapping your soap in a towel and leave it in a warm place.
@@clarewhite3004 Hi Clare, I always soap between 80-90F and then for the ghost swirl I put it on the oven at 60F, leave on for about 40 mins then turn off and leave the soap in there

Thank you so much Elyna, that's so nice of you. In my next video that I'm just editing at the moment I do actually discuss bevelling, so that's perfect timing (maybe you're a mind reader :-) ) I hope you and your family are staying safe and well :-)
I adore your soap. The whites/creams worked perfectly (I never had any doubt it would be stunning) Your base recipe is so beautiful and white, because I imagine you didn't use any T.D.
Hi Tanya, thank you so much. I was so excited when the piping on the outside worked as I didn't know if my heating would be enough, but it seems it was. You are correct it was just a plain soap, no TD at all, just my soap batter. One key to white batter I find is the olive oil. I use the one they call 'light in flavour' it's still 100% olive oil but it's a much lighter colour than normal olive oil, and I never go anywhere near extra virgin, too expensive for no benefit and it's so green. Stay safe and well :-)

Oh, very classy! I love this :) So elegant. I'll definitely have to have a go at this if I can think of a way to do it with my Aga
Thank you Deborah, oh goodness me now that could be tricky I can't imaging even your cool oven would go that low, you could be better off just wrapping your loaf in a towel of something to add some insulation and just leave it out of the oven. Stay safe and well :-)
thanks for this idea of soap..stay safe..stay connected..
Thank you so much Marilyn, you stay safe and well too.
Absolutely stunning! I love the style of your videos Lisa. You are really great at making everything so easy to understand and you are a great teacher.
Thank you so much!

Thank you so much Debra, there's something special about a 'plain' bar of soap isn't there. Stay safe and well :-)

I Dream In Soap Im beginning to get some gray strands myself. I'm just letting them shine 😂
So beautiful!

Thank you so much Loren, that's so kind of you to say. Stay safe and well :-)
Thank you for your kind comment, keep safe and well
This right here another beautiful soap well done
AW, thank you so much, you are very kind, stay safe and well :-)

@@IDreamInSoap wow, such a sign of the times! 50 years from now, people will be able to look and see the effect of covid even in replies as simple as this..."stay safe" how often it crops up now in every day life!

Thank you so much Carries, so nice of you to say. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment for me. Stay safe and well :-)
Oh wow, I'm going to have to try this when I get a proper loaf mold. I'm still working out of cardboard boxes. I've been having too much fun with the science to mess much with colorants and I'm trying to stick to a strict budget, so this looks perfect. Once I'm consistent with my cold process results, I'll try CPOP, then I'll try this!
Oooh yes, do try it, it's fun, you could still do it in your cardboard box mould theer's no reason it shouldn't work. Stay safe and well :-)
I'm sort of scared of putting cardboard in the oven!
@@clarewhite3004 Het Clare, it will be fine, you are putting to oven on it's lowest setting and turning it off when you put the soap in. If it worries you just try wrapping your soap in a towel and leave it in a warm place.
What was your working temperature?
@@clarewhite3004 Hi Clare, I always soap between 80-90F and then for the ghost swirl I put it on the oven at 60F, leave on for about 40 mins then turn off and leave the soap in there
How neat! That's a fabulous soap!
Thank you so much, it's such a cool technique. Stay safe and well :-)
I love it!
Thank you so much Barbara and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment for me, stay safe and well :-)

Brilliant. I love to learn as well as create.
Thank you Tracy, so pleased you liked it, I love learning too :-) stay safe and well.
I absolutely love this. Thank you for sharing and tutoring. Its so elegant and soothing to look at. Im in awe of the perfection in your bevelling. Can you please show us that part?
Thank you so much Elyna, that's so nice of you. In my next video that I'm just editing at the moment I do actually discuss bevelling, so that's perfect timing (maybe you're a mind reader :-) ) I hope you and your family are staying safe and well :-)
Just gorgeous (as always). I do enjoy and learn from your videos. I can't wait to see what you do with your 3D printer. thank you
Thank you so much, I love it when people say they learn things from my video, it makes my day. Stay safe and well :-)
I adore your soap.
