Both Japan and Germany standing to share the burden has, obviously, proven a magnificent investment; deepest gratitude to the generations that made this possible.
Closing statement: "... and thank you for the role you play in this world." 👍👍

Very strong speech from the Japanese Prime Minister. Unapologetically touting the shared values between the United States and Japan, especially freedom, liberty and democracy, and upholding them not only in our respective countries but around the world. It is so refreshing to hear the leader of a major country speak so forthrightly about his deep belief and commitment in our shared values. I hope the leaders of our nation hear his message and continue to stand firm in support of our allies and other nations who share or aspire to these ideals. The United States will be more secure and the world will be a better place if we remember who we are as a people and the values that our country was founded upon. History has taught us that everything that’s worthy, including peace, needs to be defended and at times requires sacrifice. Let us not forget that in this troubling times. Lastly I am grateful that Japan has been such a close friend and great ally of the United States over last many decades. And sometimes it takes a true friend to tell us what we need to hear.

@@zacharyfreelove6101 maybe you didn’t see the news of their leader Trump literally saying russia should attack our NATO allies? It absolutely happened. republicans publish russian propaganda in congress frequently and they have totally blocked any more arms to Ukraine, after encouraging Ukrainians to defend their homes from invasion. A horrible stab in the back to our European allies by republicans.
