As an 84-yr-old, 3rd generation Japanese American, a Sansei; I was especially thankful that PM Kishida’s family had such a positive experience living in Queens, NY and for his early in his keynote speech to the US Congress expression of gratitude to Queens! All positive after that!
Back in his country, only 16.6% of he people now support him. That number is quite low, almost lowest indeed.

Most of us get it despite our political leanings. There are always a few loud knuckleheads though that get all the attention.
Have no doubt though, the single worst move any of our enemies could do is shed American blood in anger. No matter the chaos, political environment, or divide, Americans unit when someone messes with us as shown in WW2 with the Japanese. I am thankful we are allies today.

The Japanese government absolutely does not believe what they did in ww2 was wrong. They erase it from their history books and worship and applaud war criminals. They refused to make ammends or apologize. The German government got completely re shaped and changed but the same people are in power in Japan. In Japan the government is just conservative, moderate conservatives to extremists conservatives. The extremist conservatives want the military back and to fight the US. The moderate conservatives still refute their history. So the range is small and belief system quite uniformed.
But China and North Korea are always trying to take neighbors by force, therefore US and allied need together fighting if they crossed the red line

However, I was trying to say that, considering the history of both nations (Germany and Japan and how they were destroyed after the Second World War), it is remarkable how they rebuilt themselves, following Democracy values, and how they are stronger today on the world stage. They might be people from some other country.
But don't chase those people.

From war enemies during world war 2 here in Philippines, Philippines fought both American and japanese during that time. The table turn around this time we bacame friends with American and japanese and first to have a trilateral meeting together is a stepping stone to unify all countries for peace 🕊️ and a prosperous economic growth for both county.
