Hi :) My dad got me this kit recently as a late birthday present. The lint roller DOES in fact pull up drills that aren't sticking down well enough. However, I decided to use a light hand instead of a heavy hand and that seemed to help avoid picking up the drills. As long as you aren't pressing down , and are lightly rolling across the canvas, it doesn't seem to pick up any drills that way. Another thing you can do is roll the roller between your hands to make it a little less sticky. I would make sure to take some kind of rolling pin or something similar to roll and press down the entire canvas to ensure the drills are in place. The last thing that may effect how the lint roller picks up the drills is your canvas's poured glue quality. If your canvas's poured glue feels a little thin, isn't as sticky, or it's incredibly easy to push drills out of place, you might want to avoid using the lint roller. I hope this helps.
