I really enjoy, that you agree with me! I ve seen Renee 2 years ago in the Waldbühne in Berlin. Its build like the ancient amphitheaters in the antique! It was great ! I will think of it till the end of my life!
One of the best performances I´ve ever heard- And, though many people don´t like to hear that, better than Anna Netrepko. To my opinion Renee has a better voice and more feeling in singing this! And much longer breath!
Là fra le nubi d'or!
I really wonder how many people complain about her singing.. I like her version the most, because of these things: 1) she has velvet voice even in high tones, not too sharp and thin like many other singers - in sad song like this I found sharp and thin voices extra annoying, 2) her voice has a sad timbre (good for this song too), and also she can perform very sensitively (you can feel some emotions from the performance, it's not cold singing).
Well in a way that is the subject, every singer has it's own speciality. As Fleming! From the first recording, loved her.....that was the Schubert recital.....so creamy, then came Mozart...loved her even more. She Always stayed close to her instrument. When getting more mature, doing more lieder....perfect.Russian, my God....Amazing. But also new music! She sings for the instrument and the music, thats being an artist. And I'm not talking about what vocaly happens, no...just what she as an artist does.Making music. Thats all, and thats more then enough.
I like this performance. I LOVE THE COMPOSER FOR GIVING US THIS BEAUTIFUL ARIA.(You HAVE to hear Ghena Dimitrova's version of this posted by Max Lupotto. Close your eyes and listen.)
after the idiotic worship of the singers of the past seizes (when all the 70 year old opera fans die) the world will fully realize that Renee was one of the greatest singers who ever lived and the greatest lyrical soprano of the last 100 years I never go to the opera house... I went once in the last 15 years and it was for renee last year... it was UNFORGETTABLE, the quality of singing, the beauty of sound, the musicianship
Absolutely adore her!!!! Would love to hear her sing Beauty And The Beast by Stevie Nicks, which is actually a classical piece by Stevie from her Wild Heart album.
Who's the woman sitting in the box seat just before the clip ends? Looks famliar. (PS - loved Renee singing this. There's a clip of her performing this in the French thriller Point Blank, an obvious tip of the hat to the film "Diva.")
She is singing with her lyric soprano voice...not forcing it...Puccini does stretch the voice for a soprano who is not a spinto or dramatic......BUT....IN THE OPERA...SHE IS A YOUNG GIRL...(IN HER TEENS?). Soooo...singing it like a Tebaldi is gorgeous...but it can be just as thrilling with a true Lyric...a lyric would damage her vocal cords to sing the the whole opera...but NOT just the aria IN CONCERT.
Que belleza de voz, ""Renée Fleming siempre maravillosa.!!
I THINK THAT EVERYTHING SHE DOES IS FABULOUS!
Magnificent Lady, beautiful voice
Such a rich voice!!! Wow

Just exquisite!
This is perfect; one of the best 4 minute stretches my ears have ever experienced. How is she so good??
She is literally not afraid of expressing herself. She has such good training behind her and she does not follow others.
A SUPREME BIT OF SINGING. THANK YOU FOR KNOWING HOW TO SING !
mi sconvolge sentirla cantare, eccezzionale
The voice of a true heavenly creature
So great!!!
Beautifully interpreted so perfectly. Gorgeous voice!!
Her notes here are not belted out. They stream out and through like a gently flowing river. Perfect!
AMAZING!!! :)
Best of the best! ^-^

Damn... I'd like to watch live for once! ..

Let people moan. The fact is that we LOVE her! 3 Most important!

Brilliant
Renée Fleming is fantastic...powerful voice, however she has a special accent.
E' tra le arie che più amo...!
🖤

Dagmar Havlová (née Dagmar Veškrnová), Czech actress and wife of the late Czech President Vaclav Havel.
Top Gear!!!
ofc its your opinion who else's would it be? :))) and it is correct! :)))
sei stupenda
The song is just falling apart ~

Someone to watch over me movie brought me here
ME TOO!!!!OMG, I have watched that movie over and over just to hear that .....(before YOuTube)
very few singers can make me hear this worn more than a pair of Hilfiger shoes aria... only callas and fleming
how about some breath support????
Such a beautiful voice... Pity she doesn't care more about rythm.
Once again, in this same concert, she looks as if she's about to sob at the end of the aria! What was going on??
Deliciosa
like singing la dona e mobile... these arias should be forbidden to be sung anywhere else other than morning shows to attract kids to the opera
Maybe not for her....Shes good in RUSALKA however
voce poco adatta à questo repertorio.
She is singing with her lyric soprano voice...not forcing it...Puccini does stretch the voice for a soprano who is not a spinto or dramatic......BUT....IN THE OPERA...SHE IS A YOUNG GIRL...(IN HER TEENS?). secretofsinging this is not Puccini...
Great voice but terrible style...
She's out of depth. Stick to Mozart!
Sorry ....you must have tin ears!
Mozart? It's Catalani
Where is your video so we can hear you? Such tacky comments.
Nope
An anticlimax after listening to Tebaldi and Caballé... A much overrated s'nger///
Kaya Alniak I agree! Glamour over musical substance.
panajody Thks.
I don't agree
+Kaya Alniak You're and overrated critic.
I bet she cries all the way to the bank. You folks are ridiculously snobbish. Show us your video. I would love to see your bellows.
