I personally thought nz and Australia did really well and I couldn’t care less who won because this was a very good game. I’m watching this because I want to improve on my game play so I’m watching how the pros do it.

If you don’t hear what the refs say you just raise ur hand and they should repeat themselves but if they don’t see you put your hand up or they ignore you, tell the associations supervisors and then they should take care of it. Happens to me all the time🙄😂

One time in my netball game the wishle blew and the empire said contact to me I WASN'T EVEN TOUCH THE GIRL
XX FLUTTERFIELD XX yea we play on a court SURROUNDED by other courts and whenever the whistle blows for another game nearly EVERYONE AND I MEAN EVERYONE stops and looks around so yea, it isn't just you
Watching this game in 2023. Wow. If the same efforts put in in the third and final quarter were put in the first and second quarters by newzealand, maybe something could have happened. Australian shooter is wonderful but defended very closely such that she does not get a chance to get closer to the pole, you can have few rebounds. Tutaia/Fulau 's distance shoot was magnificent. Good work Auz

Game pressure really changes things, if you do as well in practice as you say you do then just walk on court and play with confidence :)

A lot of people have been saying the umpiring is unfair but I don’t think they take into account that they umpires don’t see it from our view they are running up and down the court trying to do their best and people are telling them how to do their job

wow... the refs were unfair!!!! pulling up all the contacts an obstructions for nz defines in the circle but giving advantage for days in the nz shooting circle for the auz defense.... was a great game to watch but dam....

I agree that the umpire is always biased there always seems to be mistakes by new zealand but not australia when clearly their body contacts are way more noticeable than new zealand's. What i do find frustrating on new zealands part though is that the GK keep on guarding the GS from behind her when clearky the GS has a sharper and agressive movement. She should try to move in front of the GS cause she would be of no use when she is behind the GS during the attacking of australia's team

@@mooz1996 I think the umpires are trying to let the game flow, and there is obviously a lot of physicality in this game, and it’s their own fault if they can’t adjust to it

Watching this again, you can really see how biased this umpires have! And they are men!
At my school we have netball club, we have mini 10 minute matches, my team always wins (We are trained in two teams, then at the end of the club we have a match, I'm Goal Attack, which in my honest opinion is the best possision! Sorry my spelling is bad, stupid auto correct! Lol XD) my tram win at around 10-9 something like that. Both teams have equal good players, and my aunty is getting into the Aussie's, she's so excited!

Goal Attack is amazing!!!! I've always played as GA ever since our BSME games where my coach thought I would go good with GA. And so yeah, 100% agree, Goal Attack also in my opinion, is the best position to play EVER!

Honestly the amount that didn't get pulled up for aus contact short passes held ball and they score off those things does pass me off its an advantage. Not saying nz did have some foot work issues. Everyone's talking about how 35:09 is footwork but it's not. She lands on her left foot and her left foot does not step at all. Near the end she lifts up her left foot, standing only on her right foot and does not put her left foot down till she has released the ball. She did nothing wrong. (I'm an Australian supporter)

lol answering this after a year later - it was a step, the foot that was grounded became lifted then got put down when she still had the ball, it was quite quick but still counts as it. The umpires weren’t very good though

Honestly I'm a little surprised by how many people are saying that NZ deserved the win and I think it's a bit of a discredit to the game that the Diamonds played. I'm not going to say that umpiring (be it biased towards you or biased against you) doesn't have an impact because of course it does, but it also doesn't make the shots for you, and the proof was in the shooting stats for me; with the Aussies shoot up near 90-100%, the Ferns 70-80% wasn't going to cut it. Add in the 9-goal lead they let the Diamonds get out to (way too much to easily claw back in a game at this level) and not enough pressure on the Aussie feeders, I think the Diamonds played the better game.
