I feel it's not all about a lack of resources when it comes to the quality and content. We gotta start viewing our "homelands" as fertile ground for the Real Wakanda. We had the Year of Return. One year they made a big deal about ROMAN history during black history month. Anyway, the issue is her target audience don't watch TV live, we have too much to do, we watch on iPlayer or even TH-cam. iPlayer currently has the entire run of the Real McCoy available, you might enjoy that.

I remember Charlie Creed Miles in Nil by Mouth, when he's learning Jamaican Patois in the shower; probably the only part in the movie where you can have a laugh, because the rest of the film is as grim as f+@k.

It is an affectation,adopted for some social reasons. Do people who affect a “Posh” accent think that they sound convincing....or just plain silly and pretentious? ( Some of us do,in reality,speak naturally,in a BBC-type accent...as did my parents,my grandparents and so on...without forcing it,or affecting it !) I have lived in Canada for over 30 years,and have not lost my Beeb type accent...whereas my Canadian-made son has an entirely Canadian accent! Nothing forced,nothing affected,all natural!
