- Train horns can be heard blaring as the City of Phoenix’s quiet zone designation has been suspended through the downtown area after safety concerns near the train tracks. A spokesperson for the City of Phoenix tells ABC15 that they applied, and were granted a 24-hour Quiet Zone in 2009 for the downtown Phoenix Union Pacific rail crossings between the 7th Avenue and 7th Street bridges. However, ABC15 has learned that the Quiet Zone designation has been suspended because of recent development in the area, and work being done on 3rd Street to two-way traffic.

Hahahaha I live by tracks I hear that all the time, you live by trains you get to hear them! 😂😂😂
Deal with it, train horns are for safety. If you don't like the loud horns, why move next to the tracks?
What kind of noises did you expect moving near train tracks?
It's like moving into a newly developed neighborhood next to a military base and then complaining about military aircraft flying by all hours of the day.
When I was a kid we lived in Phoenix for a year under Sky Harbor flight path near train tracks heard constant noise every day 😂😊
This indeed has happened in Chulavista, CA before when people moved next to the Brown Field military base. There's a news story about it too!
Train horns all day and everyday!!!! Support the train horns and say no to them quiet zones here and now!!! Whoever don't like train horns, learn to like it or leave.
Ohhh wow the new woke democratic governor did nothing and the downtown cesspool occupants lives are ruined.... I feel soooooo bad for them😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love this ❤️
That would be my queue to go railfanning
OMG, imagine!!! Moving in next to a bunch of train tracks and hearing train whistles!!!! The horror or having to hear a horn to warn people of a train coming!!!!
SMDH.... (yes, this is heavy in sarcasm.. you move next to train tracks, you get horns... wah wah wah)
They dont like it then move out the train track train horn is for safety
Quiet Zone is stupid
Maybe get nice comfortable earplugs that can dramatically reduce the noise?
