I love ascetic on a pawn with good social, i also try to get asexual because it prevents them or a bedmate from getting a mood debuff. Id rather have the ocasional rejection debuff than q permanent bedroom debuff
I disagree with you on bisexual. It's worse than the others since the pawn now has double the chance to get the rebuffed negative mood. Early on that shit can be crippling for moods.
Trigger happy is definitely not a B tier - it is solid A, perhaps even S. But it is a trait that is sort of a late bloomer. You need a good shooting skill to start with to benefit from it - but with a good shooter, and peferably a shooting specialist as well... This becomes a complete and utter beast in ranged combat. Shooting specialist sniper with a trigger happy trait... it is a walking 45 range death. And a wall of bullets if you give such a pawn a minigun. And a positive one shot machine with Charge Lance. Or short ranged monster with a chain shotgun. In turn - Careful Shooter is a positive early on, but a detriment once the pawn learns how to shoot decently well. Too smart is hilarious if you happen to have it combined with Fast Learner - you get a pawn that learns everything at absurdly rapid rate.
There was a trait where the pawn hates the other gender and i had an entire colony hating female and male and i realized this later on having like 14 of them with the traits hahaha no relationships in my colony
Tough, brawler, nimble, 20 melee. Oh my Hercules, how I've missed you. He single-handedly wiped out a platoon of mechanoids one time. (With good positioning, of course.)
I can understand the psychic sensitivity reduction traits being a positive trait but the ones that increase psychic sensitivity I wouldn't say are a negative trait because with psychic sensitivity it makes you better with psychic powers in the royalty dlc you just have to keep in mind there mood will be changing more from the psychic drones and at worst it's downside is manageable
@@marcosda4th92 I do try to have psycasters but regardless what I said still is true even if you don't have any psycasters the downsides of psychic sensitivity are manageable at worst
I had a jogger with trigger happy once. That was a broken pawn once it took a hit of go juice. It was capable of doing some pretty crazy tricks. Once I gave it one archotech arm it was doing snapshots with a sniper rifle. I think those two traits together in some ways break the game. But I suppose thats true when you combo a lot of traits. I heard tough and nimble were a hellish combo, but I've oddly never gotten that yet..
I personally value traits that boost mood to counteract the decreasing bonus as colony wealth increases so I have a large buffer against mental breaks. Body Modder at the peak is almost as good as Sanguine with +40 opinion bonus to all pawns with 5 or more installed parts. Quick Sleeper is awesome for productivity but has a hidden downside of making mood management more challenging since sleeping halts the Recreation bar from decreasing. Kind and Ascetic also negates negative opinion towards Ugly/Staggeringly Ugly pawns (though Ascetic also ignores Pretty/Beautiful too). Ascetic pawns also make the best candidates for Royal titles.
Gourmand is definitely not B tier as it can also give them mental breaks at random, regardless of their mood. Ive had a colonist with a joywire get a mental break because of gourmand. On top of that i also enjoy having colonists smoke that ganja so more often than not, im already prepared for hungry colonists, so in my opinion it's bottom of C tier, maybe even lower. Edit: Bisexual is also definitely F tier as they get rebuffed double the amount which sucks for their mood, but also opinions. Ive had colonists go full Elliot Roger cuz of this trait. Bisexual is only a half decent trait when paired with pretty or beautiful.
too smart stacks with fast learner, if you wanted to make them learn faster. If you keep this with great memory on a double passion crafter, then you can have them learn really fast and keep their experience. I personally use the medicines+ and drugs+ mods to get aniracetam, so I Can use it to increase learning speed. Also, vanilla brewing expanded allows you to get whiskey and double whiskey to help global work speed, as well as coffee, which decreases sleep fall rate, and I think it helps with global learning speed too.
IMO, S tier should be reserved for traits that you are willing to get negative traits/injuries as a trade-off--meaning they're so good that you don't mind what comes with it to a certain point.
1/3 less sleeping means ~2h more working (8h sleep) so depending how long they need to chill, eat. etc something like 15% more work without opinion debuff
I think you didn't figure how trigger happy works. The -5 shooting skill is easily offset by the ability to shoot 2 times faster which translates to 2 chances to hit, Instead of 1. You are also going to gain shooting skill 2 times faster because you are using it at 2 times the speed every time. At 32 tiles the difference at max level is 73%(base) vs 2x53%=106%(trigger happy). This only gets better as the distance reduces, so at a really short range the chance to hit is almost the same but you get 2 chances. So I'll take my 2 chances (106%) instead of 1(73%) every time. Not to mention you can move and shoot and kite better if you're taking half the time to aim. This should be your main force of combat type pawn. You only really need 2 passions, animals and shooting then add trigger happy trait and he goes out hunting, from day 1 starting with rats, provides food and leather and maxes shooting skill before midgame. He already is the one man Rambo S tier, but then there is more. You make him into a shooting specialist and add marksman command and now you shoot 4 times faster(25%) and eliminate the initial -5 with a +11 to shooting. Yet there is even more. The Marksman command is an aura that stacks with other marksman commands from another shooting specialists at the same time. Go this route of you want to cut butter with a katana.
Trigger happy only halves the _aiming time_ (also called warm-up), it does nothing to reduce the cooldown, or the burst duration. For low warm-up weapons trigger happy has quite negligible effect on total rate of fire - revolver, for example, only observes a ~11% reduction in time between shots. Sniper rifle has the highest benefit at ~30% reduction of time between shots, however for long range weapons the shooting accuracy penalty is worse than the rate of fire benefit. Generally trigger happy is still a great trait, especially for short range killboxes and/or against crowds where a missed shot might still hit another enemy, or grenades where accuracy is less important (with the caveat that a pawn with extra poor shooting accuracy can miss _more_ than the minimum 1 tile miss radius). But trigger happy isn't _always_ automatically better than a traitless, or careful shooter pawn.
The faster walking traits are both A-or S-tier. The amount of work they can do considerably increases with less commute and especially when rescuing bleeding people, this might save 1 or 2 hours on longer runs.
my tough body modder colonist joined into my play through of making the most enhanced super soldiers possible with a high melee skill, he almost two shots people with a mono however i installed 2 elbow and 2 knee spikes to make him devistating in under armed

Bisexual has been really annoying for me in my most recent playthrough, because all he hits on is straight guys. So at any given moment he usually has at least one "rebuffed" debuff.
You should give some reasons and think these through first instead of just "this is c tier because it sucks". Relationships are a major part of the game. Fast walker/jogger literally impacts everything your pawn does. Nudist is great, literally all you have to do is unequip for a second and you get a buff...
How dare you put trigger-happy, brawler and BEAUTIFUL on the same tier. A brawler can easily solo a mech raid as long as you build them a decent corridor and a trigger-happy pawn with a minigun and the shooting specialist role will tear through tribals like agent orange through Vietnamese livers. beautiful on the other hand will provide a social buff in exchange for making your pawn worth more than the entire country of Liberia.
Because gay pawns aren't likely to romance female colonists and are most often not gonna try to romance anyone in my experience Also it's a nothing burger of a trait since it doesn't really give anything positive or negative
because it's basically a trait that doesn't do anything, like any of the other sexualities in the game. with modding ofc it can have more use, depending on the mods.
