Add Page Numbers in PowerPoint Slides and Notes Pages

How to add page numbers into slides and slide notes pages. Also how to configure the page number to alternate on left and right sides.

That's the presentation view. Click the divider and drag it out to size. Or if you default to another view go to View and see the other views in the "Presentation View" group to select

when print 4 slide in one side the date and page number are show, date i can easily remove but page number are not remove during print please guide me how to remove page number in header and footer option???????

my Design tab has only themes, , variants and customize. How do i get to

try in Design tab, in the Customize group, click Slide size and finally Custom slide size.

Is it just me, but I can't add a slide number...I used a ppt template from a website.

Sort of like a table of contents? Unfortunately this capability is not available. I heard it might work on Mac ppt 2016, but with Windows it's not there. The closest workaround is to go into View>Outline and copy/paste/modify text to put into a new slides as the index/table of contents.
