Great video! I've been wanting to start a Midwest emo band for so long but I don't have any band mates. So I've been doing this solo project and I've got to say, you've taught me a lot. Thanks!
Watched a few feezo videos the other day, and somehow yours show up on my homepage, funny logarithm. But personally I prefer your take on this one lol.
Every new instrument kept opening up the sound🥲, great mix. oh and I tried recording live bass and it sounded distorted how did you record bass in so clean?
it could’ve distortion from clipping, in that case turn it down a lot, or it could be distortion from the bass amp, which could mean there’s A) a distortion pedal on it or distortion built in, or B) it’s being recorded too loud and going to the amp which makes it have a lot of gain and distortion. Both cases, turn it down a bunch, DI signals don’t have to be as loud as other tracks, because they end up going through an amp that turns it up anyway. Often I won’t even use an amp sim, I just add a bit of RBass and Basslane and EQ and it’s normally great
Awesome video! Melody was beautiful! How do you record the instruments in playlist while simultaneously playing a new instrument? In FL studio its essentially impossible without a virtual audio input. Do you just record the whole master track?Just curious because i have always wanted to record everything and play at the same time
I use a fender Strat with a humbucker, any guitar with a humbucker will give you more of that rock tone. Shapes like chords wise? I use a collection of my go to chords which are essentially the 1 of any chord (ie. the 1 of A minor is A) over the root chord. So in the Key of C, I’d play C, C over G, C over Am, C over F. Stuff like that. I have an in depth walk through series about making beats like this on my patreon, and plan on releasing the whole series in one video later as a class. It covers everything including chord shapes and progressions
It actually does sometimes! Having a humbucker helps with the hiss, and having an amp that’s not crazy high gain will also help. Besides that, sometimes you just get some electrical interference goin on that you just can’t fix.
3:29 "I might sample this dog" is all jokes until they add a bark before the breakdown. The mental breakdown that is.
❤
Saw this on my homepage and loved it! Very fine line between midwest emo & instrumental post-rock
To be honest I don’t even know where that line is, but thanks!

I just use Loopback, a mac software that lets me route the output of my DAW to a screen recording software (OBS).
Its giving Brave Bird vibes
good shit!
good content bro. new subscriber here
I used to watch Bart from the thumbnail play at Milf Mountain
thats awesome
feezos song was good. But in my opinion yours was way better.
Awesome! Great job!
Thanks!
How long did it take you to come up with that riff 0:55? I have been practicing it for 2 days and it sounds easy but is so hard for some reason
hahah i think i came up with it in about a minute or so, the tutorial for it is on patreon for free if you wanted to check that out!
Reupload with more volume on the clip pls😢
sick channel, sub and view counts should be 10x keep doing what you're doing 👍
so appreciated, thank you!
What shapes did you use for those overdriven guitars?? Soo fire. What guitar would you recommend for those kind of tones?

Great video man. For the clean guitar parts what plugin were you using?
Tend to use TH-U Slate
Thanks!@@mtchlrtoo
Great video!
Thanks for the visit!
is there anyway you could do this again but recreated with a VST or no ? :)
As in use guitar and bass and acoustic VSTs?
@@mtchlrtoo yes!! that would be a cool video but i wouldn't want to put any extra pressure on you either way was an awesome video
Dont sample the dog, Homie..
definitely was not sarcasm whatsoever
Well now you ruined it.. I was trying to play along -,-

How come your guitar doesn't buzz or hiss or whatsoever?

@@mtchlrtoo thx for the response man!
Ever have a chance to do some Jeremy Zucker? Preferably the Brent stuff? 🙏🙏
Will do!
YOURE NOT GONNA LET US HEAR THE WHOLE SONG??

only posers use third party amp plugins, real ones use ableton stock amps and redux
only posers use plugins and amps, i just play and then sing the notes accapella
