This video is only informatively because I made mistake, so here is advice:
Remove screen before you start removing main chip!!! Maybe you need that screen, as I needed. There was no more point to repair this due to I probably never find again this model with this fault...
Please, this video is for entertainment only, to not try anything from the video if you do not know what are you doing. Leave the job to skilled person (not skilled like me :D ).

Pre nego što krenete u fskidanje glavnog čipa prvo skinite ekrančić sa druge strane, može vam zatrebati kao sada meni... Nema svrhe da svnimam više popravku jer gotovo da ne postoje šanse da opet nađem isti model sa sličnim kvarom da mogu da iskoristim glavni čip...
Molim vas, ovaj video je samo za zabavu, a da ne pokušavate ništa sa snimka ako ne znate šta radite. Posao prepustite stručnoj osobi (ne stručnoj kao ja, to svakako :D )

Girlfriend has a 9600, lower plate does not heat, upper plate works fine. Can you please tell me what failed and needs to be replaced?

I am really sorry for late answer. There is more possibilities but most common is that some wire is broken inside cable or heater on that side is broken...

Thx for the video, but I do not really see the point in removing chip from working iron and implanting it into broken iron? :D Or is it rather a proof of concept? :D

On second iron only display is working, and on first one only iron heaters are working, that is the reason I removed chip from second and try to place in first one :) You can see on start of video that I adjust temperature and touch heating unit with hands.

@@MilekaRobot Ok sry I did not get it. I have an iron without display, it only has a knob. I think I will have to solder a new triac into that thing.

@@MilekaRobot Swapping working irons sounds much easier than swapping a chip :)
