- This is an excerpt from a Bad Brains show that I shot on the old beta mini-cam at the Roxy Theater in Hollywood. The first song of Bad Brains set, and HR bursts out with some real "Attitude". This show was intense to say the least.
My boy starts off with a stage dive!? ….. what! Legendary shit right there.
@DbeeM look for “escape plan virgin megastore” the singer runs on top of the audience
I would chop a finger off to be able to be there back then and have HR stage dive onto my head, he was and still is the fuckin man despite his troubles in life. Im fukin honored that i got meet and hang out with him for a night. He came and crashed at my friends house one night after a show with his band "Human Rights". He preached rastafari and told us the craziest stories till the sun came up, was an incredible night. BLESS UP ME BREDREN, RASTAFARI!!!
Did this really happen?
This is ace. HR had the most intense energy, pure punk. He is a legend. Wish I could be in that mosh pit. Thanks for sharing.
HR was about that Attitude!
that backflip was pretty epic
H.R. was a maniac. Love that band.
I was contacted by a film company today so you may get to see more of this very soon.
Any chance of more footage getting released?
Do you have more footage released yet? I'd love to see the whole show again.

HR is the best to ever do it.
facts
God bless to the "almighty" H.R.!!
I doubt I'd survive in that crowd, but this is pretty awesome!
There has never been anyone like them. The best rock band that ever was or ever will be. And absolutely lovely human beings.
Saw them '83 in Zürich. Even hitch hiked there from Austria.
Years later and this is still some of the coldest shit on TH-cam...
Positive Mental Attitude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best front man ever
THIS IS EPIC!!!! LEGENDARY!!! CLASSIC!!! GIVE US MORE!!! THERE'S BAD BRAINS...AND EVERYBODY ELSE...NUFF SAID!!!
rage and energy

INCREDIBLE THIS IS WHAT WE ARE MISSING!!
nothing compares to this.
Awesome clip, thanks for sharing it! My sister Naomi Petersen was there, probably standing in the same area where you were situated. Her photograph became the cover for their Live album on SST Records.
Mike this is awesome! You’re so lucky to have experienced the mighty Bad Brains.
Thank you for sharing this snippet of music history 🙏⚡️🤘

Yes! It was 86, the Return to Heaven tour.. I still have the shirt! Would love to see more
Yasssss. Wish I was there
My friend let H.R. stay with him for a little while. He was kinda homeless in L.A., and turned into a full Rasta. He came out on a song on their record, but the energetic Bad Brains version of H.R. was long gone. Listen to 'Take your part gotta encourage' from EXCEL if you wanna hear the song.
Its all good, there are lyrics believe it or not. "We've got that PMA". Their music is like thunder and lightning. Purely for releasing anger. If you want music, go check out the beatles.
Dumbass hippie...
Pure gold
Estou perplexço e mais que ótimo parabens
Current mood.
Saw these guys in ‘95 in Jax FL, The Milk Bar. Absolutely unbelievable. HR had this energy the entire show. Just amazing.
You captured something pretty magnificent and extraordinary there - this is truly sensational. Do you have any more? HR is on fire.
He's like a rastafari Iggy Pop.
he's like an HR HR. periodt
heavy man
Epic
H.R. Flip - 0:49
H.R. Roll - 0:59
* When your band begins the next song **
-Most Vocalists: oh, lemme get to the mic.

PMA
yo upload the whole thing dude
Guitar amp squeals through the entire show, ruins it.
@@rinkratlgk I remember! lol
It's really too bad that HR is completely off his rocker these days.
It seemed like he left off the "I don't care what you may say. I don't care what you may do." (Or I just didn't hear them.)
What year was it filmed
Not to mention G.G. Allin.
gg allin
hahahahahahahah xD
LoL Why are you styled like Our Generation and Culture and How We Grew Up ?
Ya'll call this music. Sounds like some sort of demonic chant or ritual. Couldn't even understand him. Sounds like he's speaking in SATANIC TONGUES!
You really don't know HR if you think he speaks in a demonic language. Listen to his reggae it's next to unbeatable
You know nothing about this. From this video obviously the audio isn't clear. It's just live hardcore punk. HR is a man of God and at this time bad brains were the only band preaching a positive message in their music and never even used any cuss words. Meanwhile other punk bands were very nihilistic and pessimistic.
Better than any music today
What year is this???
Still waiting
