Thank you for all your hard work
you need to add 1/2 to top
look like he use wrong side
Would you not take a pattern for the other side before you weld it in
Making progress in reversing the hinges on the passengers door and creating and welding in the necessary required pieces,. I really like what Nate's working on in hinging the lower front end of the car and tilting the complete fenders and hood and grill forward like a conventional transport truck. Very interesting !!! Thanks for the great filming of the details in today's progress Jolene.
Thanks Joelien for giving us the close ups I'm learning a lot.
From an old car builder that's done this many times those hidden hinges need to be farther apart so the door don't sag when you open with the weight of the glass and upholstery but you do what you what it's not my car
The company no longer sells door hinges that might be the reason for that
Or they got run out of business by China.
@@daddysails8926 Tom's classy customs I built 28 cars to include a riddler contender in 2007
That was great to see all worked out so very well! You are a Pro
Wow! I didn't see those hinges sliding outward yesterday and i thought the doors wouldn't open...
Nicely done!!!! Im really glad the job didn't need to be redone!!!
Overcoming obstacles makes the final result worth it.
I have done construction for 50 years make work tables and jigs work easy
Nice looking floor and I really dig the doors!
Moving right along!❤❤❤❤ great work chad & jolene!
He loves creating and has a lot of fun. Great, what more could one want.
When things don't go so well just keep on keeping on 👍your the man for the job Chad and I'm sure you'll get it sorted out ok 👌 Go for it Team Hiltz 👁 🐅 👌
WOW LOVE THAT NEW DOOR THAT YOU BUILD COOL IDEA. GREAT JOB CHAD.
Part of the enjoyment of watching Chad work is his scrambling work habits, it works for him and it is awesome to watch. Sometimes I want to reach through the screen and help😂😂
On the other hand, for some of us, most of the aggravation of watching Chad work is his scrambling work habits,
All the comments form yesterday are a no go - Chad you have done amazing work - respect for all the work you put in to it and take us with you down the road with the helps you got and the amazing camerawork of Joleen - curious what's becoming of this project. Greeting form the Netherlands.
The keyboard warriors often don't do more than fast forward rather than listen to Chad, I must admit I was drawn into the comment about the pivot point being too far back and right up until he actually opened the door I thought he had made a mistake and yet gain he proved us wrong and his suck it and see approach worked again. The instruction were for an "ideal scenario" and he explained why he made his decisions and admitted he had no idea if it would work, but it did. Looking forward to Paul doing the window on the 50 tomorrow.
From the mistake on the lake. Lov'n the fab of the doors and the front end great job Jolene
Messy work habbits cost a lot of time, sad but true... too much time looking for what you just had in your hands.
It's terrible isn't it. All those high end customers waiting on their cars to be built, all the tight deadlines missed. Shame on chad... Oh wait they are his cars and the more videos he puts out on TH-cam the more money he gets. Peanut.
as a 30 + carpenter i bet at least one could be deducted for looking for pencil/marker
Nice job on the door ❤
Would anyone who can do anything close to what bad chad does, please raise their hands? Anyone? Anyone? Thought not.
Hey is Paul in the house ? Glass? Hey Paul hi if your there ! When things don't go well for Chad is like it'll take a bit more time to get it done right ! That is all good for us to see ! Really though we want to see it all . THE GOOD ,THE BAD AND THE UGLY it's all about building a car right . If everything was easy eveerone would be building cars . In reality it's not . So I appreciate the builders like Chad and Jolene and team Hiltz !
Awesome ...the suicide door makes the hot wheels/hot rod look great.
Thanks Chad... you proved me wrong. Those hinges work!
I always enjoy watching and learning.
And I would agree with one of the other comments. That working on the floor crap makes an old man out of you real quick 😂
I never understood how he works on the floor like he does, the floor is his work bench, he's one of a kind for sure. His age is gonna catch up to him sooner or later.
Chad's been doing it like this this whole life
I'm 71 and still work on the floor , it does slow you down over time but it worked out good for me .
If that’s what he’s use to and is comfortable doing it fine. I have been and still do work on the floor in one way or another almost every day for almost 50 years now and my back and knees remind me of it all the time. I’m just saying I don’t if I don’t have to.
Getting down is the easy part, getting up...ya and I'm only 60. I didn't think it was as hard a ride to this point but looking back I probably could have been a little easier on my body.
I've never had fancy tools so wrenching on over 400 cars in a carport.
I quit counting after 400 (no garage and not much shade) The AZ sun slows your roll.
You are a bad ass that’s coming along awesome as all the others ! Very talented, enjoy the both of you quite the couple !
Well done👍👍
I understand now much better why some car builds take so long. Takes Skills, and brain work to figure stuff out.
We are glad Nathan always thinks ahead
GREAT JOB!!!! You guys pulled it off❣ Don't bother with all these 🤡clowns🤡 that are trying to put you down. They don't understand that you're working under time limits of about an 1 hour a day for the You Tube channel. They should go watch another builders show if they want to see a car completed in days rather then months or years. PS Do you notice these are the same critics that watch you every day. They must in with other builders trying to put you down. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK Chad /Jolene and company💞💕🐈⬛
Just getting up and down dozens and dozens of times would wear me out. Chad has good core strength for sure.
I sometimes get tired just from watching him move about. He has a lot of energy.
I'm enjoying this build a lot. Will be back tomorrow🍀📺
Chad is having a off day today but that's okay it happens to all of us you just have to put your head down and keep moving forward to get through it hang in there Chad tomorrow will be better Nathan is a super big help he really knows his stuff you all are master fabricators God bless the Bad Chad Nation
I really thought that the door would bind in the rear center pleasantly surprised. The cars looking awsome!
Very well done bad, Chad !! And all the naysayers from yesterday‘s video who were trying to tell you you were doing it backwards and you weren’t doing it right etc. etc. etc. I guess they can eat crow 🐦⬛ 😂✌🏼😎🍺🏆🏆💯
Right??? I was just scrolling thru all the comments looking for the apologies....only seen one so far...😂 🙄
Same here, a lot of people had s#!t to say yesterday, I honestly thought they'd all be apologizing today 🤔, NOT
It’s done wrong, who needs to apologize?
If you take out the screws, the back plates will drop to the bottom of the door.
you could save alot of time by using cordless grinders with spare batteries always on charger
Great work guys. 😎👍
Always fast and unstoppable, even when you encounter some difficulties..
Looks great 👍
Just send the Milwaukee grinder to me if you hate it so much. I think it more user error and not the grinder
You can have mines too,I have one doing the same thing 😢
What ever you’re paying Nate he’s worth more.
And i quote........"just trying to do things as quick as possible"
Slow down ,and think it through
Quick as possible doesn’t mean you aren’t doing it right and it might work out fine but sometimes just sit back and think for a minute.
His brain is starting to go the same way as his hair.
I get the whole concept of 1 hour of content and trying to keep to it. But going in everyday without any prep at all even just an idea of how things are gonna go, or prep a station with tools ready or a plan, just takes away from a great view. I've been watching for years and I can honestly say that this hyper scramble has gotten worse. It actually causes for less good content and more looking for a marker or not even having the tools near your work space. It seems the objective is to do and hour of content and as fast as possible but In reality it is backfiring on them with a huge lack of prepared for only having to come up with an hour of content. The "shop manager" should know this. Not just hold an iPhone for 45 minutes
@@redson4928 I concur.
Those hinges work great didn’t look like they would work yesterday great really like the suicide door!!! Great idea!!
Where are all the negative people today? That said that the winches are installed wrong and the door won’t open. Chad once again proved that you were wrong.
The comments from yesterday stating the door will not open and Chad was not doing anything right was obviously submitted by the peanut gallery. When the door opened I had to fist bump myself, it was awesome. Well done once again Chad.
I always manage to learn something from your videos and Jolene's camera work. 👍👍
Me, too.. like-
LEARN HOW TO BUFFER THAT GRINDER !!!!!!
Absolutely amazed
Great job in short order! That is one well designed kit and of course Chad's skill made it happen!
positive work ethics here
Well done chad that showed the people who said the door wouldn't open
Nice Job Chad !
when chad takes the door off the threaded backing plate will drop off because it is not attached to anything.
LOL, Yeah we know 😂😂😂😂
@@daddysails8926 - You're the one guy on this channel, who thinks Chad can do absolutely no wrong. You're forever defending him. It appears you have a somewhat unhealthy obsession with him.
@@daddysails8926 at least once
Don’t know why you haven’t converted over to battery operated tools gotta get yourself some good ones and get about 20 batteries so you can have a charge on whenever you want it. I’m just a retired carpenter who worked with tools that had Cords But when I did switch over to cordless wow the time you save And you’re not always hunting down the plug-in
Good job Chad! You get it done.
Stop the grinder 😂 great job as always
DEWALT ALL THE WAY!!!! I was also thinking….. with all the welding cords and everything… you should have some retractable extension cords from the ceiling and that way Jolene wouldn’t be tripping over all the cords all the time. (Just kidding Jolene ) you are as graceful as ever with having to maneuver over and around everything you do and still make the video as smooth as glass.
Good work
Good job Chad.
Having one of those challenging days myself. It happens.
Best car yet Chad! Beauty!
Good episode and something unique and far from routine. Excellent !
Chad , the king of métal ...Thanks Yolene ...
Will the glass for the door still work you know up and down
No, the car will never be finished.
Chad, Jolene, & Nate, great work everyone this car will be really cool when you guys get done with it. Chad you seem to be having one of those days where everything fights you but, I have to give you credit for always sticking with it! There are times when I am having a day like that and if it keeps up I will eventually walk away and go back to it the next day! Nate we are not seeing much of you with you under the car building a tilt front end. It will be nice when you are done will you be able to seperate it if you want to take it off completely like for installing the engine & trans? Jolene great camera & video work as always you must get worn out some days chasing Chad around with the camera! Have I just been to busy watching Chad that I have not noticed Fina lately?
Happy Wednesday everyone, in this Bad Chad Nation.
Hey BIG HEAD GANGSTER
Great job sir!😎
Hopefully there's enough room to get a window track etc. in there
Chad needs to go to cordless tools.
Well all have off days chad just keep doing your thing it will come good
Thursday 🇦🇺 👍
Wonder if all the 'know it alls' from yesterday will comment today...on how WRONG they were 🤷♂️
HA HA good one
Good work chad looks sick 👌🤙🤙🤙
One step closer to the doors changed. Can't wait to see how Nates job turns out.
Genial construccion.👌
Bad you have to be good shape from all walking and the up and downs you do, your doing a great job.
Hey Chad...consider using the 20v Dewalt tools...they work well and they are reasonably priced...would save you a lot of time switching in powet cords
Where there's a will there's a way . That car is gonna be bad to the bone . Not sure which one I like best of this one and the 50 . I think' I am gonna love em' both as I appreciate these old classics . Great job on it so far . 👌
Very. Slick. How you.
Mounted the. Hinge. Thanks ❤❤❤❤
Hi IS right about that Milwaukee grinder : the on top position of the switch makes it almost unusable without constant shut off.
" Things aren't going well today, Holy shit, man, took ya forever to get going but you finally got there!!! Unfortunately, some days are like that, we all have them that's the way the ball bounces some days. it's just that simple. I think the Milwaukee grinders are the worst grinders in the world. Walter is a good brand.
If you never make a mistake it's cause you're not doing anything!!! Haters love to hate!
Guessing is just luck sometimes. Craftsmanship equals measurement
great entertaining performance today ! I enjoyed much laughter, I have those disfunctional moments in my shop . All in fun !
Need to weld the bracket on the back side or it will fall inside the door
Great job chad, Nate busy as a beaver!
Awesome, Thanks
Great video thank you.
Next build should be an old sedan converted into something that look like a 1934 Hudson Terraplane. It would be a interesting hot rod.
Hello Chad , Nate, Doug and Jolene from Newfoundland
That is really cool 😎
21:53 "I'll pick a line" LOL -
CHAD, WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO USE BATTERY TOOLS?
GET Dewalt to sponsor you!
That's what happens, when you turn the metal over and remark the other side, then forget which side is the correct side. Good recovery though!
It don't matter what the inside looks like right chad. As long as the outside is nice. . Cardboard door panels will cover that right up
Never fails “ the keyboard suicide door fabricators “ showed up today 😂😂😂😂😂
Suicide Door Is INEART DEAD = HAVING NO INHERENT AGILITY TO MOVE (DEAD) . SUICIDE IS AN ILLNESS DOES NOT APPLAY TO AN OBJECT .
Going to be interesting to see if a window will fit.
When you have two sides you should make Two of the same thing at the same time and you wouldn't have to start all over again to make the second side !!!
I'm pretty sure he knows that but for sake of video he's only doing the one side of door on camera and will probably do a the other one off camera
BAD CHAD AND QUEEN JOLENE,, PLEASE never stop your quest for a better custom car. I love U both, and love ur knowledge that has been acumulated over your many years of fabricating wonderful works bro. Stay the course, and be blessed by your following. We believe in you 2 as a force for good, and bringing more car crazy people to the craft you have honed.❤
Chad, you build strong builds 💪 👍❗️
Bend the 2 tabs on the red grinder electrical cord out a little, that will help it stay plugged in.
A little squirt of wd40 and you can wipe the sharpie off ... Just FYI ...
your funny put the marker in your pocket
Impressive
Chad everybody talks about battery grinders (I m a pipe fitter and the battery grinders do not turn as fast as a plugged in grinder). I think you should at least a 3 way outlet extension cord a grinder for outside the car and 1 for inside the car. If the cord comes out of socket tiewrap it or knot it. A lot of tool battery tools work well including lights. This car with a tilt front clip will be cool along with these doors. Have a better day Chad
Impressive!
Myself I probably would have a zip cut and flap disc inside the car and outside the car and the welder hooked up and on before I even crawled in the car the first time. Just saying…. Be prepared 😊
He's got to film stuff man.
