STP was so much more than most people realize. Yeah they were put into the "grunge" category but I think had so many influences. Definitely in my top 10.
I met Scott at a Guitar Center on the north side of chicago and he was one of the nicest musicians I'd ever talked to. He was also just as good looking in real life as he was on screen (no homo) RIP bro
I can't BELIEVE how Scott Weiland manages to look like DIFFERENT people throughout his life. When he fronted Velvet Revolver he looked like a whole different guy! Rest in peace
I always love the way Scott performed & sang! He has a special voice. I am 40 and I love him since I was in my early teens. STP is my favorite and there's all the other bands he created to make minds. After all the years... People really still Do not understand his talent! Even some of his members!
One of the best bands of the early 90s. For me, Alice In Chain, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins, and Nirvana are some of the best bands of those years.
I feel they were panned by the critics specifically because they weren’t from Seattle and cane up in the grunge era. They are musically talented and Scott Weiland was one of the best vocalists of the era. I was never a huge fan, but they wrote amazing songs.
I always felt STP never get the recognition they deserve breaking out during the grunge era Scott had one hell of a voice yes they changed styles which I wish they kept more to their original sound in core but man they kicked ass . When the drum kicked in on dead and bloated i thought it was pretty heavy that whole record jammed . RIP Scott Weiland
It always felt like Stone Temple Pilots was always pushed to the side for the Big 4 (Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden). Their will always be called the Big 5 to me.
STP you remain alive in me for decades. Thanks for uploading this. WTF re: press & critics. like we cannot love STP and Pearl Jam etc equally. always trying to divide. This is the first time experiencing their interviews. like them more, RIP Scott
Weiland was a vocal genius. Cornell, however, was the actual BEST singer. He was amazing. In two short years, I lost my two favorite living vocalists (Weiland & Cornell). Just sucks and still hurts to this day.

You should read the biography that was written about him totally engaging cover to cover really good and easy read. He had some fucked up shit early in life I think it probably drove his addiction. I won't score of the dump. Definitely worth the read
I think S.T.P. was the highlight of the 90s. In comparison to other legendary bands from that era, it's hard to look past their first 4 albums without noticing the diversity and colour in their sound. It helps when you have 3 virtuoso musicians and an eclectic singer who had such a rich voice. Long live S.T.P 😎
they have a deep catalog of high level songs that compare to some of the greatest bands...out of the 90s I feel no other band has a catalog that is close to the consistent level of excellence and variety of this band. I think alice in chains has a great catalog, but the variety that stp has was unmatched...they also had a cool factor. The critics tried to put them in with the Seattle bands...stp was a cali band that forged their own way. even the covers they did were amazing. I really hope when the weiland movie comes out they finally get the credit they deserve that us fans have always given them ...the doors really got a huge lift as did queen when the movies came out a out Morrison and mercury. hopefully this movie does the same for them because they deserve it.
they were always about the music. trying to better themselves and change with each album...every member is super talented and I'm sorry to any pearl jam fans, but give me any Stp with scot album and I'll take it over any pearl jam album ...it isnt a knock on pearl jams excellence..I totally respect their career and what they've managed to achieve but stp has the best 90s catalog
