I respect their hard labor, but you’ve got to be kidding me. Those poor men working with toxic plastic, inadequate safety measures on machines and without personal protection will not live a full life. So very sad. Please modernize and value human labor.

I don't understand why they have to melt the polythene with a blowtorch, burning some of it to introduce oxide impurities, then chop up the blocks to produce the nurdles (which will then be melted to become wire insulation). Why not then just shred the original bags and sacks, and use those shreddings as nurdles?
I would think that twisting copper threads together (before insulating) would increase cable conductivity and strength.
