Hello! In this video I will tell you how water catchers have become a new METAin RUST, and also tell you how you can easily build an effective and cheap farm that is suitable for both solo players and large clans

there's lots of other farm vids that show this circuit, I've been using it for two years at this point.
To bad a lot of servers have weather turned off because "it causes lag" so it's always clear which is the absolute worst for water catchers.
pretty sure the servers turn the VISUAL off, but the weather itself still occurs.

Ever since FacePunch implemented server limits on selling cloth. Farming died for vanilla Rust. Every time I go to bandit camp to sell cloth someone has a bot parked there selling 24/7.

It’s funny, I used water catchers for the first time and it was a game changer. No more trying to get a river base first and clan doesn’t have to be limited on locations now 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Yes, but you have to pay with your time for such water if you don't live in the next square from the banditcamp
Its a cheap starter to get tier 1 complete i move on then, i been perfecting your double bunker base on flat ground i can get a full foundation hight next to a lowest very overpowered

Brilliant video. I would highly suggest adding fertilizer if you're close to bandit camp. Because you can feed the horses with pickles.
what good felitizer give to the plant ?

the actual problem is that turning in the cloth at bandit takes hours to get only a couple hundred crap. and on busy servers theres always someone there already selling.... A for effort.

Great video, and great base designs! I do have a question regarding the Boot base design and how you plant seeds on the very top row? I was able to put it down, but the angle of the roof is preventing the ability to plant seeds. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Just get to the top of a ladder, look to the planter and click LMB with SHIFT key. All the seeds will be planted

80 scrap and 550 metal frag. could have used scrap and metal frag logos behind the number to make it look more clean. and numbers little bit smaller. Very good video

I've always used the smaller water catchers just cause you can place them on roof/floor tiles, the large ones have to be placed on terrain.

the small water catcher actually gathers between 5000 and 6000 ml/min when raining. try it out next time u get the chance, they are absolutely busted :)

just a thought but why not just farm straight in the ground.....like build 4 1x in a corner to corner pattern leaving the middle completely untouched and so you can plant directly in the middle of the base....

Did sprinkler math change? I though the output per sprinkler was 15ml/5s, divided per touching planter and rounded down. Is it because you just have so many that it doesn't matter?
More water is produced due to the electrical circuit, which increases the efficiency of irrigation. Each sprinkler consumes only 6ml of water per tick. Plus, a couple of months ago, the logic for distributing water among the planter changed, now the water is divided evenly, regardless of their quantity (previously, everything was broken there)
How can you get to the second floor ( the floor have TC and water barrel) without any push up. A ladder or stone furnance ?
Just use wooden signs on the ceilings
the planter at ground level doesn't get any light at all. all other 3 do, but not the one at ground level.
Same issue here, no light or water for bottom planter

The problem with farms is selling the stuff, not making it. It's easy to make more than you can use or sell and if you load up a shop with enough goods to make it interesting you're lucky if it survives a day.

Making a TH-cam video like this is a lot of work. This video took at least 20 hours to make if not two, three or four times that. Asking for likes, subscriptions and even coaxing people to join a patreon is a very small cost for this otherwise entirely free video.

It came in on a recent patch, I believe you hold shift and it will do the whole planter at once.

A) Do not build in desert
B) You can also build water catchers on cliff (they wont despawn if in tc range) and the water will get collected down in barrel (i recomend placing landmines near to blow up anyone smart enogh to use sword on them)
C) If you build in area with very low traffic, you can use Chainlink Fence instead of normal walls and roof and you get free rainwater from time to time and 100% sun (will not grow at night). But this also makes it easy for other players to steal stuff. But if you hide shotgun traps and some players jumps in to steal = free loot XD

@@packratrust then the purifier base would be more your fit, or even the regular pump one.
@@packratrusti mean you really only need one or two purifiers. 5-10 once every 5 minutes is no big deal.
