argh, this was so close to being exactly the video I wanted to see, but again without visuals it starts getting too complicated, showing MTG Arena examples would help 8:22 is what's being said referring to using a 1-health unit to block an opponent's high damage attack?
Yes. I was trying to say that your creatures take all of the damage even if they don’t have that much toughness. I then go on to talk about how you can use this to take no damage and gain value when you block a creature, and then sacrifice the blocking creature to an effect that benefits you.
@8:40 - so VS SYSTEM is superior for defense and attack management = when you declare an attack on a defender in VS, you target it with 1 or more attackers. The defender can be removed from the field, cancelling the attack, untapping all attackers. If the attack is accepted then during the attk the defender uses a power to bring the charater to their hand, the attackers ready and the attack is cancelled. = Superior to magic. (no wonder VS System was created by a MAGIC alumni who wanted to make the systems better)
Wow the video is pritty helpfull. Would u mind making a video with exemples like an exemplary game of some sort ? Thanks for the tut lots of love haha.
You SHOULD have explained this part more 10:10. I have Ninjutsu questions and no one actually explains in depth in YT. So if I Ninjutsu after combat damage, the card is tapped and attacking right? My opponent can't block because it's after the attack/blocker steps..so I do damage, right? And get the effect of the card? Meaning of I have the mana, I can endlessly Ninjutsu because the second creature was also not blocked. Please help/answer..
Yes, you can endlessly Ninjutsu; however, they don’t deal damage. Damage is dealt by any attacking creatures during the “damage” phase. So, while the creature may start attacking it’s never around for the damage phase.
Because ppl in my play group are saying the card I Ninjutsu in after combat damage CAN'T deal damage and won't get the effect. But the ability literally says tapped attacking. So how can I be wrong?
@@DarcShinobi It doesn’t do damage. Something can be attacking without actually doing any damage. Magic is a very literal game, so even if you put something down attacking, unless it’s attacking at the start of damage, it won’t actually hit your opponent.
Also, in terms of what I “should” have explained. I hope you understand that there are tens of thousands of cards in MTG. If I spent time talking about each one this video would be weeks long. Glad I could help, I just wanted to make the video simple and give it an MTG Arena focus. Glad you enjoyed though.
I'm not trying to come off as anything more than helpful here. You do not untap or draw cards during tour upkeep. Those are separate phases. You do not discard during the end step - this is done during cleanup. Please consider taking this video down, editing corrections in (or just redo it, and then repost with correct info. Didn't watch the rest, sorry

You cannot do nothing before the upkeep no?
No priority. Nothing can be done.

A representation would've gone a long long way. I got to the combat phase and lost you completely
