Why plinth is so important | House Construction Basic Part -5 |

Usually in between 4 plinth beams or tie beams there is soil. We usually provide stone soling and above that a layer of pcc in M20 grade of concrete. My question is can we provide a layer of plastic sheet below so as to avoid seepage on the floors due to capillary action

Plinth Beam and Columns are of no use for houses of less than three storeys unless the area is prone to earthquakes.

Without any brick work or any thing below plinth beam ( just soil)...??
Kyunki plinth beam is a type of beam only .. which has supports at the end..

Plinth beam ka reinforcement opposite me dete h like as a cantilever action so 16 ka uppar dalna chahiyai as tension zone is in top in center and at bottom in support
