Mel, you looked SHOOK 8 seconds into the song and stayed that way the entire time. I absolutely love watching people find and appreciate this man. My personal story ... I kept seeing Tom pop up in my suggested videos. I resisted watching him because, to be completely honest, I didn't think rap was something I would enjoy. I'm 51. I turned away from rap/hip hop once everything I heard was "guns, drugs, hoes, cars, cash, and designer clothes". Only so many times you can hear that mess. I gave in, thinking if I watched the video, maybe... just maybe... TH-cam would STOP putting him in my face. After watching the first song, which was Politically Incorrect, I went to his channel and watched a few other videos. I liked his music, I understood his message. Then I joined HangOver Gang and started watching videos of his LIVES. By the end of the first week... I LOVED TOM, the man, not the artist. That isn't to say I don't love Tom, the artist, I do. It's just so much MORE than that. Now I rock with EVERY song he drops, because I get where it's coming from, I understand his intent. Granted, not every song will be one you'll want to bump daily, but you'll find ones that will hit you in the funny bone, ones that will hit you between the eyes, and ones that will punch you in the gut, in your heart and your soul. Keep in mind his purpose is to make you think. Sometimes people think he's saying things to piss you off. From my experience, if you're pissed off, it's because he's right and you're guilty of whatever stupidity he's accusing you of. If you want to laugh do Buttholes. If you need a good cry do Castles. If you want to hear Tom's history do The Way I Am (Eminem Remix), I don't Drink, I Can't Sleep, I Don't Care and Sober. If you want to see Tom go at his haters check out Fake Fans or No Response.
