Charlie Chaplin was English, born in London. Tarzan was published in 1912, and LBW is a cricketing term (leg before wicket).

The slug is in the box. It must slightly resemble a stick of liquorice, which would be black. (Liquorice allsorts are a mixture of different shapes of liquorice)

A towel on the head like that (for me at least) stops excess water running from the hair down my back, over my shoulders etc - it usually soaks it up pretty fast and can then be taken off.

Only people with long hair can understand that. With a short hairstyle you can just shake it of.

Same here and it also keeps the wet hair out of my face, while I do the first part of my after-shower skincare routine. I use towel turbans at this point, though. I never did it when I had short hair, cause... what'd be the point, lol.

A towel wrapped around the head is very necessary. It absorbs water before you have to blow dry. Less hairdryer time, less damage to the hair and if you have long hair and don’t wrap your hair in a towel it just drips on you.

guy with long hair here. scrubbing short hair with a towel is no biggie, but long hair will get tangled, frizzed and split with time. Hard to comb, style and quickly looks like a bird nest. If you let it airdry, a cold draft will quickly give you a headache or stiff neck. throwing a towel over solves it and keeps water from dripping down your neck.
Also , sometimes you're just too lazy for the airdryer or want to spend the time with music/ watching a show as you chill.
Why bob uses the towel- dunno. force of habit?

Yes, there's a reason for the hair towel. And not everyone uses a hair dryer - noone I know does.
The towel absorbs more water so it doesn't drip from my hair while it dries naturally. Hair dryers ruin the hair and creates static electricity

Women, traditionally, have long hair, so wrapping a towel around their heads helps to absorb the water within wet hair much faster than trying to dry it by rubbing, like us short haired men do! 😁 GW Grace was an English cricketer, (arguably the best ever), who had a huge bushy beard. The least feminine looking person you can imagine.
