Very nice demonstration of these; it's really impressive the amount of power that they pack. The only other thing worth mentioning is the sweet ball-bearing pivot on these. They deploy buttery-smooth, and usually budget-end pocket knives run on washers, instead of having bearings in their pivots. This is a nice little hidden gem that not a lot of people on TH-cam have reviewed, so thanks again for helping us share it!

Wicked daniel!! Ask your fav knife makers to make a collapseable slingshot knife combo with that great rubber you get for handles. Heavy strong; and make a black holster for it. Oooooo!!! Nice!

Those are real cool slingshots! 👍 This is the first time I am seeing these!
You are right about having these in the woods etc! You can’t use them in an urban setting!

yep. rather difficult to extract though. ☹️
I put a 10mm split ring through the front of the "glass breaker" (who knows if it is hardened and tempered and will break non-laminated glass or mushroom? 🙄) pouch, with a 8mm snap lobster clasp on it to hold the "glass breaker". No difficulty accessing the "glass breaker" if I want to put it on the knife, and no chance of losing it.
BTW, the snap above the pouch DOES unsnap. The pouch fits under the snap flap with enough room to re-snap, helping to secure the tubes so they are less likely to catch on something. 😁👍

Well worth buying, I found this (silver) on Amazon and for the price here in Canada I couldn't say no. Sends a 1/4" steel ball flying.

That is a cool idea. Lucky me I'm in Australia and sling shot is another thing the government has deemed as dangerous . Thank you government for keeping safe form having fun and putting all Aussie in the same boat as 1 to 2 % of idiots who do the wrong thing.

Good afternoon buddy. This is simply less bulk to pack around, aka slingshot and knife. Both need a handle and it's impossible to use both at the same time. I like it! 👏👏.
I'm curious how long the shank is on the bottom of the fork. I could imagine myself carving a second handle. I'd need enough shank to make sure it won't come loose and smack me in the eye.
I'm Canadian and I'm not sure if the knife, specifically the opening method is legal here. Is it mechanically assisted, aka spring or am I doing the work? The latter is preferable for me.
Are the rings where the bands attach solid, or is there a gap at the bottom so you can stretch and slot the tubes in instead of the matchstick method?

    • @411Outdoors
      @411Outdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It’s definitely assisted flip and yep the the rings are solid. I’m not quite sure on the latter part haha

@@411Outdoors I saw a video earlier of a guy shooting arrows frameless. He looped some heavy tubes and attached the ends with string. He held the center fold of the tubes in his fist coming out between his thumb and index fingers. He rested the arrow tip in the trough between those knuckles, between the tubes. I thought it might be easier if he attached the tube to a stick for better grip, but otherwise shoot it the same way. In any case I know you have both tubes and arrows, if you were inclined to experiment with such a thing.😉

Did you know that the purpose of a tanto point was a way to show a visual peace sign .
They changed to tanto tips after wars between clans,
They use conventional sward tips like drop point spear tip ect during battles ..
Cool video by the by 👍

I got mine (black) Jin Jun Lang, not a clone/fake, off TEMU for $10.95 SHIPPED!!!!!
I might get the silver version, as well.
I converted the sheath to a dangler with a 1.25 inch split ring nd a 8mm snap lobster claw clip. Also had to temporarally permanantly glue the belt loop mostly closed to prevent it from going dead fish from the split ring going to the bottom of the belt loop. If I ever decide to use the belt loop I can cut the glue along the edges to open it back up. I doubt that will happen though.
