Beautiful review as expected with grate consistency , you are so easy to be pleased 👌🏻. You can count on School Cafeterias and Singapore airlines to be your worse enemies as of now 😂
@@airedition I would love for you to try the new KLM business class (with sliding doors) and have your feedback. BTW, I am the same guy who chatted with you when you were in Dublin last year (and we were gonna meet while you were on your way to Faro), but didn't since your flight ended up getting delayed from Stockholm and you would have had to sleep. I have since quit social media (Instagram mainly) for social media detox. Happy to see you here!
Amazing how service can vary from airline to airline. One would think they would be more the same since companies seem to copy what works. Service looked average but you flew on a 787, which to me was perfect! Thanks - Jim
Service on AC and all of the American carriers is so variable, and it really has a huge effect on the feeling of the flight. I don't understand why it is like this when there is such a uniform outlook to service in places like the middle east and Asia. I suppose cultural differences among others.
@@airedition Yes, so well said Gabe. You have seen this traveling the world on so many different airlines. My wife and I travel solely business class on United Airlines which I would consider average. BTW (long story) I had a very nice offer from them last trip to Hawaii. Prior to pushback I was invited to sit in the captain’s seat on a 787-10. Now that's premium service.
Sorry there must have been angel dust in the air if you think that everything on your flight made for an underated gem. Love the soundtrack you chose it sounds like "la merde". Highly appropriate
Well, I never said gem did I. But I only ever hear pretty poor things about AC. This was much better than expected. What about this flight did you find so terrible?
AC business class...medicore is the best I can call it. It has the basics you expect of a business class, with IFE and lie flat bed, but the food is really not cutting it. You may not need SQ level of attentive care, but if I am paying big bucks for business class, I expect more than the bare minimum that AC provides.
Couldnt help laughing when I saw "Bregott" on the lunch plate there, sure not surprising from Stockholm but I fly quite a lot from ARN and hardly see that even from SAS. Interesting move from AC - Im just guessing now but Ericsson have made a huge investment in Ottawa and Canada in general and Im pretty sure there will be some traffic back and forth.
2 meals were fantastic for this 7-hour flight because most airlines would only serve a meal and a snack. But the first meal, as you have mentioned, was poorly decorated. Seems like there's a small improvement in their business class product
I’ve flown AC a few times and agree the cabin and entertainment is good, but I find the ground experience in Montreal very poor - the lounge is often standing room only (although it does good poutine!). I’ve found in-flight service very mixed in terms of friendliness, and the food is pretty forgettable.
I can't work out my state, Western Australia, as to why so many carriers fly here. We've got a small population, not many tourists and are the most isolated city in the world. I am a lucky boy.
@@NorthernMike-1the only flights that NEED to stop in Perth are the Qantas ultra longhauls from Europe. Otherwise it’s purely to cater to demand. Qatar even flies the A380 there, which tells you something!
@ I am very happy for you then, perhaps now that they are actually charging a great percentage of PAXs for the meals, they have improved them. When I lived in LA in the 80s I flew predominantly AA. I used to hope for Lasagna to be served and would always ask the attendant, for extra if there were any. When I came back to Canada and tried the AC/Cara version of Lasagna. I would never ask for it again! So there’s an honest Apple to Apple comparison! Also, traveled a lot on the YYZ-LHR route and remember every flight had a dry ass Scone on the return flight. Terrible. I actually developed a great routine. Evening before departure in YYZ, I purchased a Subway Sandwich. Evening prior departure in LHR, I purchased a Sandwich, Fruit Salad and Cake at Pret a Manger! It was so calming and relaxing to pass on the crap they were offering!
No it isn't. it's as good as any airline. . trying to ruin Air Canada;s reputation. Dealta airtline is thew worst american airline I flew. the cabin pressure sucked.
@@airedition 100% agree I've just had so/so luck with Air Canada and you're right it's mostly crew related. Keep up the great work, love watching your stuff!
Always had very consistently good service in Signature with AC although the beef choice is typically presented with far more care than yours was. It's a national sport here in Canada to bash AC but I disagree, AC is great about 80%-90% of the time in all classes, nothing over the top but far better than many US carriers in many respects. Their Premium Economy is also the best I've experienced on any carrier. Glad you enjoyed!

Thank you very much! Unfortunately I have already been spoiled so much by SQ and QR...
@ me with QR only as I live in the Middle East
I love their retro branding. They’re quite underrated when it comes to their network and hard product. Great review as always!
I do as well! Thank you

Fair enough!
What a gorgeous aircraft 😊
I agree!
Hi, Gabe. Exactly which track is it that's playing at the beginning? Its really nice. Thanks. Oh, former AC employee here. 😊
wow. that song is a french classic. and this version is horrible.
any other issues?
It's a song mixed by Dyalla on Soundcloud. That one is called "Lofi La Mer"
Interesting move indeed, and yeah- this catering is unique to AC I never see anything like this on SAS.
2 meals were fantastic for this 7-hour flight because most airlines would only serve a meal and a snack. But the first meal, as you have mentioned, was poorly decorated. Seems like there's a small improvement in their business class product
Personally I would prefer one memorable meal and a snack!
5:16 Even placing it in a bowl seems like it would have at least belonged there instead of covering the entire plate😮
Yeah I'm not entirely sure what was up with that!
I’ve find AC generally ok, not great.
Probably a fair assessment!
I’ve flown AC a few times and agree the cabin and entertainment is good, but I find the ground experience in Montreal very poor - the lounge is often standing room only (although it does good poutine!). why would you drink at an airport lounge to begin with?
Yeah I love the poutine in that lounge, and the only problem is crowdedness really.
@garygjl9036 drinking at an airport lounge is one of the most fun aspects of travel 😁

That's a good question! I know that there is a lot of movement in that area though!
I’m guessing most of the carriers are middle eastern or European
And most likely stop there cuz it’s the first area in Australia they hit!

@ ok but what percentage of PAX transit to other destinations in Australia and NZ?
@@NorthernMike-1that would be a very interesting number to have. I don’t know!

Could you try emirates again
In January, A350!
Still summer????
yes. People fly to Scandinavia in the warmer times of the year.
This was filmed in September.
Unfortunately AC has never put an emphasis on in flight catering!
Disagree, I have NEVER had one inflight meal that wasn't freah and enjoyable.
Yeah, I wouldn't say it is their strong suit but in general compared to other north american carriers I think it is acceptable.

Actually Air Canada business class seat is worst business class seat I did , it is very uncomfortable .
No it isn't. it's as good as any airline. . trying to ruin Air Canada;s reputation. Dealta airtline is thew worst american airline I flew. the cabin pressure sucked.
Actually, I found it pretty comfortable and I have flown in a lot of different business class products.
@@airedition Cathay Pacific, Air France's business class also have a reverse herringbone design, but they are much more comfortable than Air Canada
I remember the glaring difference when xfering from ANA in Tokyo to Air Canada. Unfriendly and inattentive crew if you can even find them.
Definitely always a shock going from Japanese airline service to almost anything else, especially a non-Asian airline though!
