People keep being annoyed, angry or triggered by everything in every game...and this is also the case for WuWa in a smaller way. But I have never seen so many "This game is amaizing" or "These devs listen" videos at the same time. So much positive vibes in comparison. Only the other fanbases keep bashing WuWa while probably not even playing it. Just like the children they are...
Some people need time to cope with abusive relationship sometime . I have seen some wife do not want her abusive husband to go to jail because she still love him .
Everyone who had been insulting Wuwa from my experience had barely touched the game or skipped the story. They haven't even tried to give the game a proper chance.
story was weird everyone likes you for some reason you kill crownless and absorb him and people don't even question it hahahaha what a load of shit, the whole chapter 1 was so rushed then suddenly you get this avengers level threat type of scene it was too funny I knew like 3 people and the rest I had no idea. Only jiyan actually had some character but they force us to be a commander when we met for the first time because we were "the chosen one" hahahaha some mary sue type of writing this was. look I love the game, visuals is amazing, gameplay is polished from their first game pgr (which I absolutely love) it has so much potential and it has such beautiful landscapes that could tell a deep & heartfelt story, but they just brush it off into a big pile of dogshit
The biggest positive point about wuwa for me is that the future of the game is looking very promising. Spending time/money on a game that's only getting better with time feels completely different from playing a game where the devs don't need to do anything new since the playerbase wont leave anyways due to sink costs
Honestly, I've never felt this happy buying the monthly pass for a game before, like Wuwa, because I bought it because I genuinely wanted to support them. My experience had been beyond my expectations, and it felt wrong not to give something back in return.
Bruh i did the same. I am a day 1 genshin player. when i set foot in teyvat and found out i cant run nor skip unwanted story which i dont wanna hear, ive been begging on thier customer support but they didnt give a sheet. After seeing wuwa tech test gameplay my mind was telling me this is the anime open world game i wanted
genshin devs definitely grew complacent just because they'll still be number one in profits 4 years not a whole lot of QoL then WuWa came into the picture they suddenly got up off their ass for a bit
3:37 for this, the 1.1 update was pushed forward specifically because Hoyoverse Deliberately planned for ZZZ to launch on THE EXACT SAME DAY 1.1 was supposed to drop, so they moved it forward by a week to prevent falling down that rabbit hole. They also moved Yinlin's banner 1 week earlier so she came during the last 7 days of Jiyan's banner, and they mailed 10k BP exp to compensate for the adjustment.
Im a huge gacha hater (because of the gambling aspect of it) and Wuwa got me absolutely hooked. The fact that you cam buy wavebands and even select the weapon you want from the 5* banner is really gamechanging. Still, the game is a little too expensive for my tastes, but i literally bought the subscription and pass in the same day i started playing it. Wuwa proved to me that gacha games can be good while still respecting players time and wallet. The fact that wuwa won a picky consumer like me really tells how good that game is. And im still praising the game despite being a top 20% worst puller losing all 50/50 so far.
I'm completely F2P and with the amount of rewards and stuff we've gotten, I managed to get Changli, Camellya and Shorekeeper. Non-limited characters I have are Verina, Jianxin and Encore (Verina and Jianxin from the selectors lol). Considering Rover is also very powerful (and hopefully they keep that up), I never felt the need to actually spend.
I am also f2p and WuWa never made me feel like I absolutely needed a character. Like how in Genshin I felt like if I didn't get X character, I would be missing out. In WuWa not only did I manage to get good 5star characters from playing and saving up astrite from events and dailies, but my main team is literally the standard Rover, Baizhi and Encore. It is not the best team but the fact that I can beat every boss and quest with characters just randomly put together, 2 of which you get in the beginning, is awesome!
As someone who've tried a few gachas before (my first is HI3 then Genshin, both from Hoyoverse. Then a lot more after that), I'd say you're lucky to play WuWa first. I realized that not all gachas are the same after I tried Kuro's other game, PGR. And the reason why I was hyped for WuWa when announced. With that being said, love the analysis. And I agree, I love the game but not because it's perfect but because the devs seem to be so passionate about their work and the way they treat their players. They showed that they're willing to listen and change. They even do the same for PGR and that game also had a rocky start. I have some issues on other aspects like its writing and some aspect of world-building like the lack of world quests. And oddly, I hope they stick to their vision when it comes to creative aspects like the writing instead of pandering and listening to us (result is MC-glazing, and toned-down post-apocalyptic world). But man they are improving at a pace I haven't really seen in other gachas I've tried. Well, except PGR. You earned a sub man! I love how you convey information. And be careful in the gacha community, it's a cesspool of shit sometimes. But there are chill people too. Lol.
ill just put this here all games have a toxic fanbase maybe in your end you mostly see positive for WuWa and its haters but if you look at the other side, its teh same WuWa fans have a toxic bunch who is loud AF in the internet and almost endlessly bashing other games (especially genshin) some are reasonable but some are just outright appalling and this causes a feedback loop where the toxic wuwa vs toxic fans of other games get to each others neck its just sad cause despite the WuWa's improvement it still has lots of work to do, and these toxic minority just constantly glaze the game, thankfully kuro knows who to listen to so as of currently were getting good stuff, lets just hope these toxic side dies out sooner, its painful to be a part of a community and gets lump by the toxic minority
I'm not saying I disagree with they stick to their vision more, but I feel like listening to the community for a writing aspect wasn't completely a bad strategy, IF they know which community to listen. PGR community can be one of the example (since PGR is where they peaked). I mean, I don't see any of us PGR players wanted an MC-glazing or let alone toned-down apocalyptic world in the first place. So, the way I see it, taking some inspiration of writing and world-building aspect from PGR community (well, the loyal one) combined with their own vision for the rest, I think it's still can be a good recipe to make WuWa better
@@ozoahameg3582 to be honest dude, i've never seen wuwa fan trashtalk for example like, blue archive, or arkknight, or any other, like literally, i mean i've been on the internet for so long looking at many post related to anything. They're always go for genshin, the toxic ones, even then, who started it? "oh HSR bad", "eugh, turn based game? naah will be dead", "WuWa will be dead in a week", "what is that game? a cheap genshin knockoff?" (even though genshin a cheap knockoff of zelda. and so many more. so i dont know what you mean by other games.
@@JoanRally well by other games im pointing genshin and ZZZ primarily although some very few actually went against HSR although they didnt last long as of now its majorly against genshin while a few against ZZZ and if my any chance where i see this mostly on reddit, some on twitter and few on YT comments
for the 1.4 story, i guess the reason why other resonators don't interact with each other is because they've never met before and each resonator's dream was different from each other. obviously the dream happened on a different timeline and not connected to each other.
The Somnoire is a realm that only Rover can use properly and still be conscious about everything, any other person inside it can only see: 1. Themselves 2. The gatekeepers (Ebony and Ivory) 3. Rover. That means any other dreamer in the Somnoire wont know that the other party is actually nearby and consequently, wont interact with them.
Honestly, I think the "harem" complaint is a bit shallow-minded and overblown. Yes, each character presented so far have some sort of affinity in one way or another in regards to Rover, but only a few of them actually have intimate affection towards Rover. If you completely remove the story context of why each characters is drawn to Rover, yeah you're obviously going to see just a harem. I have a feeling that most of the people that complain about this is primarily the ones who only base the characters off memes from the internet, as most gacha memes often exaggerate relationships between the protagonist and the characters within the game.
I would think rover’s harem is justified seeing myself falling for rover lol. But anyways if you read the story of each characters when you maxed their affinity, you can understand why the characters acts that way towards rover. For example zhezi, when zhezi was so down because no one would buy her art, she bumped with rover and rover complimented her art. She regains confidence to draw again and thats why when we first met her when she was going to draw something, she blushes in front of rover.
And ngl Everyone has their own shop sailing apart so that's why they can't literally just cut off a character like that cuz my own example is Jinhsi×Rover that's my Ship so you can't just cut off character to not make a harem They have created their stories in such way that you can take that affection to Intimate Levels within your mind or let it stay as bff affection lvls
The harem complaint feels to me is just like complaining about cheese tasting like cheese. To me, the problem was not the harem itself, but how the character's affections are developed in the story cutscenes -- also just with the story pacing in general, and character involvement in major story events. Also yeah, characters don't interact much with each other aside with the Rover.
Felt like glazing / harem because less interaction with previous patch/banner character. It just rover with new character so look like date in first glace when actually it's not
Also if you compare Wuwa to other rpg games (especially anime rpg) there is at least 1 or a few of characters that love the mc or like. Example: Persona, FF, Kingdom Hearts, Scarlet Nexus, Nier, etc. so I don’t see much of an issue. Plus we are someone the helped saved everyone so of course there’s going to be admiration or deep admiration to affection too. And we did more for each character to help them through hard times especially in the Companion Quest.
Wuwa 1.0 was great but heavily flawed but seeing 1.1 update was an eye opener The dev listened and they are amazing, it gives me hope for the future and they never miss. Every single update is a noticable improvement and I'm so looking forward for 2.0 Not only because of new character but new gameplay event and above all endless QoL edit: 1.3 lack of Depth is a shame but goddamn it was one of the best Coop event in any Gacha game istg. I have a lot of fun playing it with random and friend and also watch content of people playing it and failing or do crazy trick in coop.
9:40 in the 1.4 event the characters don't interact with each other for lore reason, people just need to read the story of the event to understand it: The Somnoire is a realm that only Rover can use properly and still be conscious about everything, any other person inside it can only see: 1. Themselves 2. The gatekeepers (Ebony and Ivory) 3. Rover. That means any other dreamer in the Somnoire wont know that the other party is actually nearby and consequently, wont interact with them.
About the interaction with the MC and not each other, the reason is simple Those are Companion Quests Literally quests focused on their relation with the protagonist Look at Toto for example (Toto is Lumi in japanese) She was so worried about her comrades from Lolo Logistics, not much about Rover we still don't have either her or Changli's companion quests Just look back at Jiyan and Yinlin companion quests, it was all about them and Rover Let's wait till the main story expands in Rinascita
it's always interesting to me to see review from a more combat oriented gamer. i've been playing gacha for a long time, but being a straight woman who loves romance, it has been mostly dating sim. there are some good ones, there are some awkward ones. i started playing more combat oriented gacha mobile games (i have no pc) out of husbando hunting (lol), but Kuro really have my heart with this. it's a very well made, beautiful game, that feels even enjoyable for me who have very little interest in being capable at combat.
yup... I have to say, XLY is absolutely broken. With the fact that he's free, and the weapon banner having no standard banner weapons, you could get his signature weapon easily and dominate every aspect of the end game with him. He's insanely strong for a free unit.
off topic but I must say it.. in the current illusive realm changli is so busted, immunity during skill and ability to spam it almost non-stop let me clear 60% of it on 100hp mode and clear lvl 5 completely in under 15 minutes Also "leaked" characters are not leaked, it's the official announcement on their twitter account
I have a feeling next update won't have illusive realm. This event seems special so that they won't make it perma. I hope kuro make a weekly coop event though.

I only started playing gachas recently but by far wuwa is my favourite one. This game is the only one that I do my dailies everyday like that. I do have some problems with the story but it’s nothing too major and I do hope they fix it later on in the 2.0 update. Thank you for your video, you’ve earned my sub
Genshin was my first and I was a Day 1 player but only played for 2 months coz the dailies just felt like a chore and never enjoyed it. And I easily get bored especially climbing walls. When I heard about WuWa, I felt excited to try it and never regreted joining the hype. I'm very satisfied by the game rn and would love to continue supporting the game in the future. What I like the most in WuWa is the QOL and you can just easily do the dailies ezpz. Respects my time.
6:52 unfortunately your opinion is wrong mate 🤣 in terms of feel, i do agree that it has some soulsborne aspects (with the emphasis on parries and dodging) i also think that some parts of it play like Nier Automata, especially the platforming segments during 1.3 and some of the companion quests, so here's hoping we get more of that next year in 2.0
A very candid video, love to see it. I think the launch problems were more of a general performance problems though instead of bugs. Buuuut then again there was a huge mistranslation issue on the JP community. The game definitely still have some issues, and hope they keep improving and do more things with the game that the devs themselves can be proud of. Rinascita's character designs really gives me confidence about good things to come. Hope they don't botch it.
I must be lucky. When I started playing when the game just launched, I didnt' see too many bugs. Not saying there were no bugs, but its not like it was unplayable like freaking Cyberpunk was. Plus I always play these games in Japanese, so the voices were all excellent and well synced up.
Yeah the game is actually good, there's just too many bashers mostly from a certain Gacha Game Community, i do have some personal problems with it that some people might agree with but I won't comment on that here since this is a positive video, still this game although it's good, isn't my main gacha game, i play mostly for Combat, and don't get me wrong the Combat is absolutely insane in this game but it doesn't top Kuro's previous gacha game, Punishing: Gray Raven, they obviously limited the combat system and tweaked it by a small amount so it could fit in the open world aspect in the game, I'd say this is in my Top 2 just behind PGR as my Number 1 Pick. And there's also the fact that Unreal Engine has stutters on Mobile even when I'm using a High Mid-End Processor which is a Snapdragon 778g 5g. On other games it's fine, on Warzone i can play 60 fps with some drops to 49 here and there, but in WuWa it's about a constant 45 and only goes to 60 during domains or if i play on the worst graphics known to man, they'll figure out a way to improve optimization though, they did the same with Unity in PGR where the effects are literally insane to the point you can't see your character during certain Combat Events. I recommend WuWa and PGR a whole lot, but Rinascita is giving me some doubts because where did the Post Apocalyptic part of the story go? I know Rinascita was hit a lot less by the Lament compared to Huanglong, but we'll see once the patch comes out on January.
Just a correction: In 1.4, the gamemode that will soon become permanent is not Depths of Illusive Realm, it's Somnium Labyrinth. Just wanna help clear some misconception.
There is symbol of "permanent content" in Depths of Illusive Realm in the events page, but it has a time remaining because DoIR is seasonal, it resets the shop each patch and it changes, adds more characters, echos, etc. It will be permanent but it will keep having updates every patch like it always did (except 1.3). SL is permanent in a different way because its an event with permanent story (relevant to the game's plot) and has limited amount of rewards with no remaining time (except for the "limited time event rewards" which is the new 4* cat sword).
in this game every Characters is unique not like other gacha games you can just build any team you want with good support units and you can finish anything in like 2 months or less
Gameplay, exploration, mechanics, challenges and puzzles are fun and engaging Voice acting, music, sound design, and story is sub par (atleast at launch) It is getting better however
the future of wuwa is promising, but i just wish the devs would stop listening to the fans and started trusting their guts in terms of story telling… bc of the cn fanbase, they basically rewrote the whole 1.0 which is why it feels off/like a rough start. the closed beta was more dark and gritty… people were just pissed that chixia pointed a gun to the mc and crownless knocked yangyang’s ass lol i miss this aspect of the game, when the stakes were higher and fighting those facet discords felt like a real threat. i miss the apocalypse vibes and also character interactions outside of rover’s circle; like yangyang, chixia and baizhi’s friendship and jinhsi and sanhua’s working relationship. i hope in the future they take a break of making the mc being the centre of it all and focus on side b storylines as well… those characters, like jiyan and yinlin, have such interesting backstories yet we never see them fully fleshed out; nor any of them interacting with each other. i was hoping wuwa would have a more mature storytelling but bc of fanservice it’s turning into another genshin of it all.
The part about the betas is not entierly true. It wasn't bad because a few characters didn't trust Rover, it was bad because peopel didn't trust them even after it didn't make sense not to trsut them, and some were even plain shitty. Pulling a gun on someone after they saved you is bad. But the other thing was Awu ( now Lingyang). When fighting a boss he just apepared out of nowhere and stole the kill, then acted like he did it without you, and even asked why you're even there.. and the others just go along with it. That's stupid American High School type of mean girl behaviour. Sanhua also attacked Rover even though they were walking together with Jiyan (the literal general) and maybe Taoqi (I'm not sure). Why would she attack the friend of the general? The way the quests were laid out were also bad, basically fetch quests to unlock all the bosses. People who've actually played it all say what we got is better. Which it not to say that 1.0 is good, it says more about the beta. Big agree on them not using enough of the profile info. I have high hopes for 2.0, but I'm also low on trust when it comes to their writing. We'll see.
CBT1 was bad because the story was trash forced edginess with no coherency. Current story is not bad, it has a solid foundation and opening plot points to work on in the future, people just be illiterate and repeat everything they hear other people say which is based on their "impression" and not in what the game tells you. Some characters are not fully fleshed out for a simple motive: it's a live service game with plenty of future plans including flesh out old characters in the story, especially characters of importance like Camellya and Shorekeeper. The story of the game WILL ALWAYS be Rover-centric, the story is about Rover getting its memories back and learning about its past while finding its own purpose on Solaris-3. And no, the game is not becoming "more genshin" just because NPC's and characters don't hate Rover as if it is Satan on earth. People just admire Rover because it is a genuinely well intended, exceptional and interesting person, with its own personality and characteristics. Some people can fantasize about self-insert to enjoy fanservice and the game allows it, but it also literally tells you how Rover is just admired and fairly treated, not loved (exception: shorekeeper).
The only current issue for me now as a day 1 player its the Premium Echo Tuners, im so unlucky rolling substats on echoes and I ran out of tuners but have plenty of exp tubes. I hope they improve tacet fields like increase Echo tuners. 20 per 60 waveplates = 80 tuners is not enough esp when you get bad substats
I think the shores expansion really made me into the game. The music and overall melancholic atmosphere was so so good, I basically fell in love with the game. I can't say plot was exceptionally great(it wasn't bad though), but I really, really enjoyed the atmosphere, it was so beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. And I like the haven't introduced much powercreep so far(looks at hsr). Camellya is about the same power level as Jinshi. Kinda worried about 2.0 though.
Something I liked about Kuro's games is that each and every individual are just as combat-ready as the other. PGR, WuWa's predecessor, involves making a team of 3, but (most of the) characters are able to fight all by themselves, plus, most of the time you don't have to go full Meta to enjoy the game (lookin at you, Genshin). Same with WuWa, most of the time you'll have more skill issues when you're starting the game than damage number. And thanks to WuWa's gamwplay, Kuro are not forced to make a meta-like character unlike Genshin. There will be more time and resources to experiement and make 4-star characters to be playable for the new players, and the older characters don't have to be totally obsolete to the new updates at all.
5:28 yeah no kidding holy sht. When i got him, and built decently, if i need to quickly do some battles/fights, my mind goes to "i need for some quick dispatch, imma switch to xiangliyao party" because hes just that good.
I started playing HSR and WuWa at the same time! Don't ask me why xD Yes 1.0 story was mid but as long as you reach Mt.Firmament you see the improvement and Black Shores was a gem! But oh boy...Penacony!!! I don't think ill be able to finish that one, thinking to quit HSR even though im enjoying the other aspects of the game!
I love wuthing waves Genshin killed me once I lost the 50/50 everytime Xiao weapon came :( had Xioa since he first came but never managed too get his weapon in 4 years smh
I had the chance to play this game on day 1 but quit after the 1.2 patch because i didn't find the story interesting enough. i enjoyed the gameplay alot though. at least the devs are listening and doing their absolute best to keep and attract players which means things will only get better for the game.
I love both Genshin and Wuthering Waves, but there's just a massive difference between the developers. Hate to say but other Hoyo games such as Star Rail, Honkai Impact, Zenless Zone Zero have great developers and they're not even stingy about it. Genshin Devs ❌ Wuthering Waves, Honkai Impact, Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero. ✅
Many of the people who complain about the characters being "obsessed" with the main character played the Closed Beta, where evryone threated the main character like trash. I prefer it the way it is now.
@@energyismygame No, this cause a lot of plot hole, u just did not read the beta. The story was bad, and now, WuWa won best story category in CHINA PlayStore Awards.
@@energyismygame The problem is that only a fool would help people that treats them like the cbt history went. The minute Rover steps into Jinzhou and gets sidelined even though s/he defeated the TD that would have killed the other three, effectively saving their lives, s/he would have turned around and left the city to rot to the plot of the Fracsidous and the awakening Threnodian. By sending the kind Yangyang and the naive Chixia, Rover feels invited and has a reason to meet with Jinhsi and side with her against the Fracsidous. The oppenness from Yangyang and Chixia contrast with the distrust from Baizhi and Sanhua, the clinical distance from Mortefi and the trickery from Jinhsi. Each character's personality shines more, which helps us players find who resonates with us and look forward to exploring this world. To be disrespected, I have the real world. Why would I want to live than in my games?
How lucky i am, when played the game from the started and just got issue about lag and ping. Thats all 😅 I can understand for the game cuz, all game first day got some issue about server so got lag is normal thing kek
think he just means both genshin and star rail need stamina for artifact farming. while WuWa u can farm echoes endlessly. downside tho u cant feed unleveled echoes compared to the other 2. cause it might be bad if they do.
While i'm more than happy to admit that Wuwa has a lot of things that it does way better than its main competitior(you know which one) stuff like gameplay, accessibility or generosity, nobody will ever convince me that wuwa's character designs aren't absolutely hideous. The best design is easily Shore Keeper, but other than her it's an absolute shitshow of awful and unappealing ideas. Additionally, it makes me roll my eyes in pure unfiltered cringe how pretty much every character in this game wants to suck Rover off.
I think the issue here is that the people complaining about "Rover glazing" just want the characters to treat Rover how they did in the CBT 1 story, but the problem with that is the characters have no reason to treat Rover differently with the way the current story is set up. In the current story, Jué prophesied Rover's arrival and informed Jinhsi, that explains why they knew where to find Rover and why everyone treats Rover kindly. As for the "Everyone is in love with Rover" discussion, i think these people are overexaggerating. The only characters who seem to have feelings for Rover are Yangyang, Changli, and Shorekeeper. The rest of the character cast either have platonic interactions with Rover, no interactions at all, or are just children. Personally speaking, I don't mind characters having feelings for the MC as long as they're not written to be a damsel in distress or overly dependent on the MC.
Exactly, people make alot a fuss out of such non-issue. It literally happens like that: CBT1 characters and NPC's: treat Rover like the devil on earth and never trust them despite being saved by them several times while having no character development and barely any likeable characteristics. People: we dont like that you need to change to something more fair and develop more characters relationship with Rover. Current story character and NPC's: Treat Rover fairly and admire rightfully/coherently, based on their experience with him/her, give it the benefit of the doubt at first and try to build a good relationship after knowing his/her potential of being an exceptional resonator capable of helping them in their personal problems and regional crisis. People: we don't like that, this is Rover glazing, those characters are being too nice to Rover, that's fanservice and gooner bait! Stop listening to old players and go back to CBT1 or we gonna KILL KURO GAMES!! Its kinda hard to deal with that shit bro I'm tired 😮💨 Also I dont think Changli loves Rover, she only admires on a deeper level because Rover was master of her master, and Rover also unintentionally replaced her memories in the Sonoro Sphere during her companion quest as if they met when she was a child (in reality they didn't), which made her feel a stronger connection than any normal person she admires (like Jinhsi, lady Xinyi and her master).
my only complaint is the story. everyone meatriding rover just gets annoying. and the voice acting is a bit rough. other than that i thinks its very fun.
Why would we glaze if the game itself is good ... Not like bunch of weird non needed qol thrown to us and we keep screaming that the dev is listening or something
@@Real-Quarlie sorry maybe glazing wasn't exactly what I meant, I like how all of the wuwa community is very positive about the game and there are so many channels which praise it.
@@muhammadaizat7820 yeah I'm sorry I didn't meant it in a bad way, glazing wasn't appropriate to use here, what I meant is I'm happy and it's a little bit funny how many there are cc that don't shut up about how good it is, which is well deserved.

I'm in the same train as you, except I'm completely F2P.....
I'm completely F2P and with the amount of rewards and stuff we've gotten, I managed to get Changli, Camellya and Shorekeeper. Non-limited characters I have are Verina, Jianxin and Encore (Verina and Jianxin from the selectors lol). Considering Rover is also very powerful (and hopefully they keep that up), I never felt the need to actually spend.
i played genshin and probably used all my bad luck there, now at wuwa im somewhat lucky but not that much tho
@@M16_Akula-III we shall stay strong brother!!! I'm on the verge of slashing my card 😭
Lol.
Thank you! I appreciate the comment too
ill just put this here
all games have a toxic fanbase
maybe in your end you mostly see positive for WuWa and its haters
but if you look at the other side, its teh same
WuWa fans have a toxic bunch who is loud AF in the internet and almost endlessly bashing other games (especially genshin)
some are reasonable but some are just outright appalling and this causes a feedback loop where the toxic wuwa vs toxic fans of other games get to each others neck
its just sad cause despite the WuWa's improvement it still has lots of work to do, and these toxic minority just constantly glaze the game, thankfully kuro knows who to listen to so as of currently were getting good stuff, lets just hope these toxic side dies out sooner, its painful to be a part of a community and gets lump by the toxic minority
"oh HSR bad", "eugh, turn based game? naah will be dead", "WuWa will be dead in a week", "what is that game? a cheap genshin knockoff?" This is also my first gacha game and have been playing since day 1
I see you have good taste in games then 😉 and I been playing since day-1 as well 😎
for the 1.4 story, i guess the reason why other resonators don't interact with each other is because they've never met before and each resonator's dream was different from each other. obviously the dream happened on a different timeline and not connected to each other.
The Somnoire is a realm that only Rover can use properly and still be conscious about everything, any other person inside it can only see:
1. Themselves
2. The gatekeepers (Ebony and Ivory)
And ngl
Everyone has their own shop sailing apart so that's why they can't literally just cut off a character like that cuz my own example is Jinhsi×Rover that's my Ship so you can't just cut off character to not make a harem
They have created their stories in such way that you can take that affection to Intimate Levels within your mind or let it stay as bff affection lvls
Wuwa 1.0 was great but heavily flawed but seeing 1.1 update was an eye opener
The dev listened and they are amazing, it gives me hope for the future and they never miss. Every single update is a noticable improvement and I'm so looking forward for 2.0
Not only because of new character but new gameplay event and above all endless QoL
edit: 1.3 lack of Depth is a shame but goddamn it was one of the best Coop event in any Gacha game istg. I have a lot of fun playing it with random and friend and also watch content of people playing it and failing or do crazy trick in coop.
Xiangli Yao still is one of my top dps. The dude is absurdly good, not only with his dmg and mobility, but his cc/slow during ult is BONKERS.
9:40 in the 1.4 event the characters don't interact with each other for lore reason, people just need to read the story of the event to understand it:
The Somnoire is a realm that only Rover can use properly and still be conscious about everything, any other person inside it can only see:
1. Themselves
2. The gatekeepers (Ebony and Ivory)
3. Rover.
That means any other dreamer in the Somnoire wont know that the other party is actually nearby and consequently, wont interact with them.
About the interaction with the MC and not each other, the reason is simple
Those are Companion Quests
Literally quests focused on their relation with the protagonist
Look at Toto for example (Toto is Lumi in japanese)
She was so worried about her comrades from Lolo Logistics, not much about Rover we still don't have either her or Changli's companion quests
Just look back at Jiyan and Yinlin companion quests, it was all about them and Rover
Let's wait till the main story expands in Rinascita
it's always interesting to me to see review from a more combat oriented gamer. i've been playing gacha for a long time, but being a straight woman who loves romance, it has been mostly dating sim. there are some good ones, there are some awkward ones. i started playing more combat oriented gacha mobile games (i have no pc) out of husbando hunting (lol), but Kuro really have my heart with this. it's a very well made, beautiful game, that feels even enjoyable for me who have very little interest in being capable at combat.
yup... I have to say, XLY is absolutely broken. With the fact that he's free, and the weapon banner having no standard banner weapons, you could get his signature weapon easily and dominate every aspect of the end game with him. He's insanely strong for a free unit.
off topic but I must say it.. in the current illusive realm changli is so busted, immunity during skill and ability to spam it almost non-stop let me clear 60% of it on 100hp mode and clear lvl 5 completely in under 15 minutes
Also "leaked" characters are not leaked, it's the official announcement on their twitter account
Our character like literally jumpstarted sol 3 civilization.. i don't mind if chars swoon over me
I have a feeling next update won't have illusive realm. This event seems special so that they won't make it perma.
I hope kuro make a weekly coop event though.
Up until now they have had a new iteration of the illusive realm each patch with the only exception being 1.3, so how knows.
Encore's story devastated me😅
WuWa is gorgeous, if it not win the GOTY 2024.... something is wrong.
I agree wuwa is good for gacha game standar
But another game like Balatro and ZZZ had good competition so hard to see who would win for mobile game
its jury based, ww probably not winning cause of that :
@@al4vv82 Nyaa, Balatro and ZZZ is good, WuWa is a way highlight in mobile games bringing such wonderful world and combat into cellphone.

Amazing what the devs can do when they listen lol
6:52 unfortunately your opinion is wrong mate 🤣
in terms of feel, i do agree that it has some soulsborne aspects (with the emphasis on parries and dodging)
i also think that some parts of it play like Nier Automata, especially the platforming segments during 1.3 and some of the companion quests, so here's hoping we get more of that next year in 2.0
A very candid video, love to see it.
Oh, he was probably bad
meanwhile Xiangli yao: The most OP DPS in the game, even currently
and for free too?!
I love wuthering waves ❤ characters design
Exploration
i totaly agreed with most of ur point and the video was great
I really hope that add discard group marking, like hit 1 button to start marking the ones you want to discard.
Just a correction:
In 1.4, the gamemode that will soon become permanent is not Depths of Illusive Realm, it's Somnium Labyrinth.
I think you might be confused. Illusive Realm is back permanently, but it will get cyclical updates like ToA.
Yeah, and i just heard that they will add more characters into somnoire aka more characters's dream😅
My first Gacha game was Genshin, though I kinda wish it was WUWA because of KURO sincere generosity.
It really is, I've played A LOT of games the past 25 years, this one is brilliant and up there with my top ten
me using a pc that not up to standard: play just fine with a few bug
my friend with higher pc spec: the world is black
in this game every Characters is unique not like other gacha games
you can just build any team you want with good support units
and you can finish anything in like 2 months or less
Gameplay, exploration, mechanics, challenges and puzzles are fun and engaging
Voice acting, music, sound design, and story is sub par (atleast at launch)
It is getting better however
the future of wuwa is promising, but i just wish the devs would stop listening to the fans and started trusting their guts in terms of story telling… bc of the cn fanbase, they basically rewrote the whole 1.0 which is why it feels off/like a rough start. the closed beta was more dark and gritty… people were just pissed that chixia pointed a gun to the mc and crownless knocked yangyang’s ass lol i miss this aspect of the game, when the stakes were higher and fighting those facet discords felt like a real threat. i miss the apocalypse vibes and also character interactions outside of rover’s circle; like yangyang, chixia and baizhi’s friendship and jinhsi and sanhua’s working relationship. i hope in the future they take a break of making the mc being the centre of it all and focus on side b storylines as well… those characters, like jiyan and yinlin, have such interesting backstories yet we never see them fully fleshed out; nor any of them interacting with each other. i was hoping wuwa would have a more mature storytelling but bc of fanservice it’s turning into another genshin of it all.
Kinda agree with you, most female somehow have history with rover and want to flirt with him kinda feel repetitive and weak story.
Well for me its reversed, have like 1200 tuners but no exp, i am too lazy to farm it. but to be fair i have only like 9 char built
Don't ask me why xD
Yes 1.0 story was mid but as long as you reach Mt.Firmament you see the improvement and Black Shores was a gem!
10:36 my first too!
People keep saying the launch was rough.. though i didnt notice anything? The game ran perfectly fine without any glitches for me from day one?
Most mobile players probably had potato mobiles, I have 0 issues since day 1, I've been privileged enough to have a high end phone.
I love both Genshin and Wuthering Waves, but there's just a massive difference between the developers. Hate to say but other Hoyo games such as Star Rail, Honkai Impact, Zenless Zone Zero have great developers and they're not even stingy about it.

Additionally, it makes me roll my eyes in pure unfiltered cringe how pretty much every character in this game wants to suck Rover off.
nice video
if you like dev that listen maybe play Warframe
im so agree the english dub on this game kinda not good at all i always play on jp since its feel so right
I think the issue here is that the people complaining
about "Rover glazing" just want the characters to
treat Rover how they did in the CBT 1 story, but the problem with that is the characters have no reason to treat Rover differently with the way the current story is set up. In the current story, Jué prophesied Rover's arrival and informed Jinhsi, that explains
why they knew where to find Rover and why
everyone treats Rover kindly. As for the "Everyone is in love with Rover" discussion, i think these people are overexaggerating. The only characters who
seem to have feelings for Rover are Yangyang,
Changli, and Shorekeeper. The rest of the character cast either have platonic interactions with Rover, no interactions at all, or are just children. Personally
speaking, I don't mind characters having feelings for
the MC as long as they're not written to be a
damsel in distress or overly dependent on the MC.
Exactly, people make alot a fuss out of such non-issue.
It literally happens like that:
CBT1 characters and NPC's: treat Rover like the devil on earth and never trust them despite being saved by them several times while having no character development and barely any likeable characteristics.
People: we dont like that you need to change to something more fair and develop more characters relationship with Rover.
Current story character and NPC's:
Treat Rover fairly and admire rightfully/coherently, based on their experience with him/her, give it the benefit of the doubt at first and try to build a good relationship after knowing his/her potential of being an exceptional resonator capable of helping them in their personal problems and regional crisis.
People: we don't like that, this is Rover glazing, those characters are being too nice to Rover, that's fanservice and gooner bait! Stop listening to old players and go back to CBT1 or we gonna KILL KURO GAMES!!
Its kinda hard to deal with that shit bro I'm tired 😮💨
Also I dont think Changli loves Rover, she only admires on a deeper level because Rover was master of her master, and Rover also unintentionally replaced her memories in the Sonoro Sphere during her companion quest as if they met when she was a child (in reality they didn't), which made her feel a stronger connection than any normal person she admires (like Jinhsi, lady Xinyi and her master).
my only complaint is the story. everyone meatriding rover just gets annoying. and the voice acting is a bit rough. other than that i thinks its very fun.
I like how many there are wuwa glazers and praising in communitt and I'm here for it
That's like every gacha game community lol
Why would we glaze if the game itself is good ... Not like bunch of weird non needed qol thrown to us and we keep screaming that the dev is listening or something
A good game should be praised for the good parts it has. Unless they just praise actual bad or whatever parts, I wouldn't really call it glazing...
Female rovers voice actor is garbage 😂. Male rovers voice actor is alot better especially in the scenes where rover yells or screams
I play JP dub but I think female Rover EN VA has been improving slowly but steadily, she just needs proper direction (I'm putting most of the blame here in the voice director).
