Got one of these almost a year ago. A Ghia spec & body is in VNM condition. Had a new fuel pump fitted & will be getting a new carburettor for it soon.
Great video Mark, glad you finally sold it and sounds like the buyer got a good deal with the windscreen & bumper etc thrown in. Look forward to the Sweeney car now moving forward - keep us updated on progress - cheers Pete
I used a camera called Insta 360 one x2 , The damage to the lense are replacable with new lenses . Thank you for your comment and for watching the video
I've got a '76 GXL 3 litre that I picked-up from it's 1st owner down near Munich over 25 years ago . Although mine was bought originally in Germany she was specced with the British 3 litre motor . I love her , and my '75 BMW E3 (also 3 litre ) , great pair of cars
Engine sounded like a bag of spanners at one point so I’m glad you said the idle wasnt ideal . To my eye it’s a stunningly beautiful car , clearly there is that association with The Sweeney series which I grew up with . Cracking job sir 👌 👍🏴
You're right the valve clearance needs adjusting, and the carb needs a tune, other than them small issues the car drives well, looking forward to making a start back on the other MK1 Granada I have, the Sweeney project, thanks again
The SWEENY used a Ford Consul GT, it was much the same car but with w=a 2.5 litre v6 that had a shorter stroke engine so it revved up faster than the big 3.0 lire Granada
Just came across this video. Thanks for posting. Brought back some great memories of my childhood there 👍.

lovely car, few issues but shame we cant get old style petrol for these classics as it might be happier than on e10 or e5. many thanks for video
I had 5 of these , 4 saloons and a coupe. Great cars
It's frightening how cars have changed in the last 40 years let alone 100. Nice car.
Thank you for your message, we all love a good classic car and explicitly a classic ford
Seatbelt
was that a fish eye or a drone you were using?

Really think they're nice looking cars especially with a vinyl roof, usually sunroof too.
