      It’s a silly catchphrase he has. The implication that the only reason you should defend yourself from false claims in court, should be based on whether or not you feel like you are currently “losing” in the moment, is both ridiculous and contextually incompetent

    • @johnsitumbeko732
      @johnsitumbeko732 9 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@Tortilla.Reform but why defend yourself when the judge presiding over your case is doing it for you? The judge has several cases to hear each day. If your words and testimony will do nothing but lengthen the proceedings while the person determining your case has already ascertained that you have no case to answer, why speak? Don't you wanna go home quickly? The prosecutors have the burden of proving your guilt, as long as they are failing to do so before a judge, keep quiet.

    This judge has a huge following on the internet. This makes it soumd like he's soft on crime. He DEFINATELY isn't. He also ruthlessly tears into the criminals when needed. Delivering lectures on his reasoning behind his judgement. He shows both the ruthless criminals and the wrongly accused. Alternating between serving compassion and public shaming in addition to the legal penalties. He acts and speaks not like a judge, but like a fellow person who just happens to be a judge. He sees each person brought before him as a person and not just another slot on the docket. He takes the time to dig deeper into the case and takes into account both the good and bad aspects of human nature in his judgements. I find it a bit ironic that he practices in the very conservative state of Texas. I wish we had Supreme Court judges that are more like him.
