For the sisters that are concerned about Dina's scarf styles (in terms of the style itself and/or Dina's hair peeking out at the front), there's no need to be upset about it. You can pull the scarf up to cover your hair. If you don't want to show your neck for the turban styles, you can drape another scarf around your neck, wear a lightweight turtleneck, or use one of the under scarves that cover your hair and neck and it will still be fine. For the sisters that are frustrated with trying new styles because they don't come out right right away, keep practicing. All of this is to say that we have to stop limiting the way we look at covering ourselves. There's always ways to modify styles to fit the way we view modesty. Also, sisters have to stop judging Dina for the way she covers. She gave us a lot of options in one video after so many of you asked for them. If you don't like the way she covers, why watch? I pray that Ramadan is going well for us, and just remember that fasting isn't just about food and drink. It's also about actions, speech, and thoughts too. May we all be kind to one another and support one another in our attempts to do right. Thank you Dina for this video! Ramadan Mubarak!
Amirah M finally something positive about her and hijab tutorials and the way she styles them alhamdullillah ☺️ (I'm not being sarcastic it just saddens me that so many people actually attack her for just a little hair peeking out) because if they want to try these they can switch it up to suit their needs and requirements ukno
Hello Lonnie! Congratulations! I’m so happy for you! May I suggest something? 😊 I have been following an account on Tumblr called Reverthelp, and their Instagram is @revert_help. Their website is:reverthelp.com/ I have made a couple of revert friends and they mentioned that the admin is a professional life coach who helps them with their questions and supports them through their process. They are really happy with the support they get. They have a really nice community too. Seeing your comment I thought they can be of good use for you as well if you need any information or resources. Do send them a message 😊 best ✌🏻
To all those having contradictions regarding dinas hijab styles, we are a religion of 1.8 billion people! Of course many of us will have different interpretations of what a hijab should be and shouldn't be, at the end of the day you should RESPECT other views and NOT HATE on them. Just like how you might see what she's doing to be unacceptable others might see what you're doing to be unacceptable, so don't be too quick to judge and hate as different eyes give different points and views. We are all Muslims and Islam is all about peace at the end of the day. And when it comes to differences in Islamic technicalities remember that we do not all think the same and act the same, and at the end of the day as much as hijab represents modesty and purity, a Muslim woman that does not wear hijab could be a lot more pure on the inside than a woman that does wear hijab and Vice Versa! Leave the judgment on whether her hijab is appropriate or not to Allah, it's not your job to do so. PROUD OF U DI
Exactly was thinking myself as new to islam, as some. Ignorant people. Can get Islam mixed up with sikh, so trying to be careful how to wear. My hijab, yet be respectful to my religion, but find adaptable. Ways to wear the hijab at the same time
I wish I had the confidence to wear half of these hijab styles but every morning I try something new, I swiftly give up thinking my hijabs going to fly off, so I go back to my usual style. I saw some of the olden day styles I used to rock in school. Nostalgia!
No , many cultures wear a head scarf it's not only a religious thing , I actually wear a scarf because I think it's Beautiful and nice looking also the way mindset behind it is amazing
Ramadan kareem Dina! Hope you and your family are keeping well 🕋💐🕋 These hijab styles never gets old-always checking this out when I need to freshen up my styles 💐💃🏻❤️
Am I the only one who watched these videos out of curiosity and also because they are too scared to ask their Muslim classmate about how they do the cool wraps without offending them
Tatiana Sirbu back in high school or school in general, girls/guys only approach me once they sit next to me and feel safe to ask. We don’t get offended if one asks about our scarf or religion in a respectful way
don’t be scared! i know i don’t speak for everyone, but i myself am muslim and wear hijab and i always love it when people ask me how i style my hijab and stuff! lets me know people are interested rather than judging me.
Those ribbed scarves are beautiful, and I love that they add even more interest to however you choose to style it that day, while still staying elegant. Thanks, and great job (killer music too!), Dina!
I used to have a teacher who was African and Catholic. She used to wear the hijab because she believed in the meaning behind it and thought it was a beautiful and pure minded thing. One time a girl asked to see her hair so she pulled all the girls aside to the corner and showed us a picture of her long hair. She was beautiful with the hijab and beautiful without. I am catholic and Puerto Rican and I think the hijab represents purity and innocence (it just feels that way I am not sure of the true meaning) and I would love to wear it all the time. I don't think my parents would enjoy that though. Not because they are racist but because they think it doesn't represent the "strong and sexy Latina girl you are" (They said something like this when I hid my hair under a beanie in school in 110 degree (F) weather. But maybe in my next life I can wear it.
The bible does also say women should giver their hair in the Old Testament. That's why many Jewish women cover their hair too. Pretty much all the Abrahamic/Judaic traditions say women Gould cover their hair.
Many religions and cultures have women covering their head/hair, now and in the recent past. Women covering their head/hair is cross cultural and occurs in many religions, if you want to do it, do it 👍.

Dejanna Little why... I will start to be wearing a headscarf too as a Christian ❤️🙏🏾. I want to dress more modest and true Christians shoult cover their heads. Even Mary covered her head.
Thank you! I'm going to start head covering because I think it will help my confidence to cover my hair. I'm nervous though, because I live in an area where it's not common for anyone to wear head coverings.
Whats with the negative comments here?! She literally just showed us TWENTY ONE HIJAB STYLE like seriously get over yourself and just be thankful k bye. Aaaaaanyway thankyou dinaaaa! This is a much needed video like srsly🙏🙏🙏
Oh and if you say; OH NO CANT WEAR THESE COZ I CANT SHOW MA NECK N WASSUUP WITH THE HAIR????? Just dont show your neck and hair. Like seriously stop moaning about things you know you can fix by yourself people.
One of the best tutorials I have seen to suit every scarf type. Im not personally a fan of the turban style as I dont consider that a hijab, but to know how to change lengths and techniques for a neater hijab finish, regardless of the scarf type is great! Thanks Dina
I wish i could pull off all these looks but I don't show the little bit of hair at the front so whenever I try your hijab tutorials its just me and my big forehead lolll
Hi Dina, you recently said in one of your videos with said that you sometimes feel like removing the hijab. I just want to let you know that I really admire you for persevering with it and that you have inspired so many young girls/women to feel more confident on wearing the hijab/scarf. Whether it's the more "modern" styles or he traditional ones, this video caters for all and is really inspiring. Keep doing what you're doing! I'm sure Allah will reward you for wearing it and motivating others!
lol... I feel your pain haha.. just pull the base under the double chin over it... it's kinda like contouring with hijab .lol.. works for some.. makes some look worse lol.. try it tho.. what the heck do?
Is it offensive for a non-muslim woman to wear a head scarf? Like not as a hijab, just a scarf (idk if that makes sense) I'd really like to protect my hair and scalp since I suffer from eczema and the heat is doing no good. I don't want to offend anyone :)
it won't be offensive to muslims since covering your hair and being modest is not just in islam. Even in christianity nuns cover themselves and their hair :)
+xToOxRaWxIsTheTruth you're supposed to say Masha'allahh when you see/hear/experience anything you think is beautiful or amazing or awesome or in somehow it's really good. It's just respectful. And my husband says that if you see someone who is beautiful and you say Masha'allahh it protects that person and yourself (?) from shaytan & jinn (?). I really don't know about that last part though haha just my husband told me that. He's from Algeria so maybe that's just some weird cultural rumor. I'm really not sure. When I step outside my house in the morning and it has the sweet smell of nature, it's so refreshing it makes me feel invigorated a lot I say Masha'allahh. Or when it's sometimes really rainy and then everything smells like grass and dirt I say Masha'allahh because the smell is so nice. Dina is a gorgeous lady so we will say Masha'allahh. :)
if you haven't already could you do a video on how you tie your underscarf? i always struggle with that part and the shape of yours always looks great! loved the video x
Mashallah, By first saying you want to become Muslim is setting you in the right direction! I strongly advise you to go to the nearest mosque and telling someone that you want to be apart of the amazing religion, I hope the best for you!
Salma Abdirazak - I want to convert also. There's a mosque near me. Can you just walk in? Is there a certain day I have to go (Sunday)? Do I have to dress a certain way?
WHITwhitLEGIT there is no day but just try to see if there are women also allowed in the mosque and you ar supposed to cover up by wearing full sleeves shirt and full long jeans or something and not reaveling something
Why? ...dear india louisee & WHITwhitlegit why? Instead, first say this to God with a sincere and desperate heart ...God reveal yourself to me and show me the right path. God will reveal himself to you.
Dina man, I was really looking forward to these styles but none of them actually covered you, as in there was no chest or neck coverage 😩 can you please do a vid with more coverage
I'm Buddhist and Hindu and some of our holidays lend themselves to the suggestion of headscarves, so I tend to wear them on holidays. Beautiful tutorials, I love your scarves!! I wish I had the talent you do with a lot of these!!!
Heyyy, thanks for making this video. I love it and I love the way you're speaking and joking with high tone of voice. you made my day hahaha. luv the vid, anyway!
I don't even wear scarfs but this video was done beautifully. I just wish I could see her hair. It looks likes she's blonde or ombré?? Dina can you share how you dyed it or how you have it styled ? Obviously not showing your real hair maybe inspiration pics.
I felt the same when I was non-hijabi but You know sweetheart, when I started wearing it I think it was one of the best decisions of my life! Be yourself and strong.
If you are willing to keep wearing the hijab, and you know that you will take it serieus then do it. May Allah help you, you won't regret it sister. Lots of love xxx
It's ok honey just follow ur desire but when I started wearing the hijab from 1 grade I didn't know but it's so easier then dewing ur hair every morning and I now in 10 grade can express the fashion with my scarf the design and way I style it ( I have never taken it off so far ever outside my home ) ALHUMDULLILAH 😍😍
When you feel like it's the right time cover. Make sure you also know the true meaning of wearing a hijab which I'm sure will make you want to cover straight away, inshāllāh 😊
This isn't meant to be a hate comment. As someone who isn't Muslim I'm just curious. I know that some Muslim women choose (or in some cases are forced) to where the hijaab in order to show modesty. However, by wearing the hijaab in all these elaborate styles and prints/colors etc, doesn't that kind of defeat that purpose? Again this isn't meant to be hate. Dina you looked beautiful in all of these. But whenever I look and your hijaab, I immediately think of how fashionable it looks, which to me doesn't seem modest (in the sense that i attracts attention because of its beauty). I'm not even sure if I make sense lol. But to me, like a simple pony tail appears "more modest" than a printed scarf tied up in a bow. Of course, I could be wrong or misinterpreting the meaning behind wearing the hijaab. Could someone please explain? Again i'm really not trying to be hateful or question her devotion to Islam. I'm genuinely curious.
For me personally, living in a non muslim country, I have experienced a lot of negativity and hateful comments when dressed in simple plain black or white etc. I feel like in order to fit in to some extent in these countries we are left with no choice but to modify certain aspects of our clothing whilst staying within the religious boundaries. I personally do not wear turban styles or bow styles but if some chose to do so that is purely their choice. In a lot of muslim countries they are able to dress plainly but many also still chose to wear bright colours etc.. ultimately it is down to perception and your own take on things.. the specific ruling is for the hair to be covered and modest clothing no specific requirements were stated as to the colour or style etc. But as I said it is much easier when "dressing" the hijab up a bit per se to not experience back lash in non muslim countries
It depends on why you wear it. If you wear a scarf to distinguish yourself as Muslim and you are not necessarily doing it to be modest or to show yourself as being pious especially because you live in a non-Muslim country. In that case why not have a bit of fun with it? When I wore hijab it was to be identified as a Muslim because I wanted to show my love for God but I didn't give up on beauty for I felt God loves beauty. I wanted to present myself in an attractive yet non provocative way to feel comfortable in hijab. It opened up many discussions and friendships with non-Muslims. If I wore dark colors and looked down all the time I don't think I would have made friends or felt good about myself.
The Quran doesn't say anything about the way and style you should wear the hijab, apart from the fact that it should cover your hair, neck, ears and breasts. The purpose is modesty - you're correct - but it's also to protect women from being too sexually appealing to men. This means you can still be stylish with it however you want to - plus it'd be kind of restricting if we weren't allowed to style our scarves however we want to. Good question, but just because we wear a hijab doesn't mean we can't be creative with it. It could possibly benefit some young muslim women to feel more confident, comfortable and happy with their hijab as opposed to feeling restricted and uncomfortable.
She is just wearing the scarf for style which is wrong. It's actually insulting the true religion. Either do it properly or don't do it all . Anyway she doesn't even look that good in all of them . All you people need to stop getting complexes about urselves xxx
SMILE NUTELLA Well I’m Israelite and we only have to cover our hair during prayer, I’m not necessarily sure about other religions. Israelite follows the practice of both Christianity and Judaism.
Why are you so amazing ... you have me dying in the beginning of your video. I love the fact that you keep going while the baby is crying because whhhattt your a mom and thats life.. i know the feeling I am a mom of 2. Which you mean you have to do your passionate of being a mom and being the creative soul all in the same time..
I'm a non-hijabi and not even a muslim but for some reason I'm binge watching hijab tutorials 😂
Rithika 😂
Rithika haha
I would be glas if you check my tutorial too :p
Rithika ❤️ welcome 😂
Rithika may Allah bless u:) amen

I feel exactly the same so I always end up in the same style!
Agreed. These styles are for fashion-model faces.
So I'm not Muslim (or even religious at all) but I kinda wanna start wearing a headscarf.
Would that be wrong?
No , many cultures wear a head scarf it's not only a religious thing , I actually wear a scarf because I think it's

You don't need to be a Muslim to wear a headscarf. Headscarves predate Islam
Awwww, but the headscarf isn't only for Muslims; you can find it in many other religions and cultures :)
Go bless you sister from a muslim💜💜
i was just thinking the same! looks good but i'm not sure about what would it look like on me...
You can still wear it even if your not Muslim. It's not against the rules to wear it :) unless you're in France lol

Aw no don't be scared! I'm sure they'll be happy to explain it to you :)

Why scared? Lol.. They won't bite you😅😜😜

Ana Muslimah Yes, because the point of the hijab dress code is to look beautiful. 🙄
i think that this so great❤ my tip is that you try coz everyone have a diffrent shape so that you find your own style in hijab
Here’s a tip: don’t
Dejanna Little why... I will start to be wearing a headscarf too as a Christian ❤️🙏🏾. I want to dress more modest and true Christians shoult cover their heads. Even Mary covered her head.

Yeah according to Imams you can't, it's mostly for turban is for fashion but it's better than not covering at all
+Ahlam World that is a good idea xx
I have an idea, we can wrap another scarf around our neck ;)
One of the best tutorials I have seen to suit every scarf type. Im not personally a fan of the turban style as I dont consider that a hijab, but to know how to change lengths and techniques for a neater hijab finish, regardless of the scarf type is great! Thanks Dina

Makeup lol

Hey everyone I want to convert to Islam can anyone help me
Mashallah, By first saying you want to become Muslim is setting you in the right direction!
India Louisee I'm sorry this is a verrrryyy late msg..But have you managed to revert to islam? I'm a revert too I'd love to help.
Why? ...dear india louisee & WHITwhitlegit why? Instead, first say this to God with a sincere and desperate heart ...God reveal yourself to me and show me the right path. God will reveal himself to you.
What's with the music in this holy month of Ramadan
Maybe she recorded this way before Ramadan.
+Sabah Rahil and maybe she could have edited it out before posting
😒
I guess it's just her choice but me personally wouldn't use music however it's her video and not mine
What? Do you want the video to be silent? I don't understand

I don't even wear scarfs but this video was done beautifully. I just wish I could see her hair. It looks likes she's blonde or ombré?? Dina can you share how you dyed it or how you have it styled ? Obviously not showing your real hair maybe inspiration pics.
She said she won't cause it'd be like showing her hair.
+mebthegirl But she already shows some hair.
It's not allowed to describe your hair in public or to those whom you are required to cover in front of
+ShakirahIbaad This. She said she won't describe her full hairstyle.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU!! YOURE SO GORG 😍
I really want to wear the hijab, but I'm just not sure about it :(
I felt the same when I was non-hijabi but You know sweetheart, when I started wearing it I think it was one of the best decisions of my life! Be yourself and strong.
If you are willing to keep wearing the hijab, and you know that you will take it serieus then do it. May Allah help you, you won't regret it sister. Lots of love xxx
Totally agree, just be you! ❤️
I’m not Muslim but head scarves are just so pretty and you can get creative with it
You can find a lot of different ways to make your own style of art ❤🤪God bless you and your own art 😘🤓
Thank you so much Dina ... that was greatly awesome
H
All you people need to stop getting complexes about urselves xxx
she looks good in every thing.... mashaallah
U look gorgeous Dina! Love this tutorial! U are amazing! 😘😘😘
14 is my fave! It's simple but looks cool
you are stunning ! you make head scarves look fabulous! I want to try it but I was wondering if you do it for fashion or religious reasons?
Natzimi Massa religious reasons :)
Malaika Tahir Jewish?
Natzimi Massa she's muslim
Saphiyex but thats Not a religious hijab
I'm just curious but aren't u supposed to cover ur neck, chin and chest too?
SMILE NUTELLA Well I’m Israelite and we only have to cover our hair during prayer, I’m not necessarily sure about other religions. Israelite follows the practice of both Christianity and Judaism.
We, Muslims have to cover hair ears chin and chest ...
Yep, but you shouldn’t ask Dina for hijab advice. She doesn’t even wear the hijab anymore.
As an older lady 🙈 i love your take on life, fashion and everything. It's so refreshing and you are a unique woman. Don't ever change! xx
