Welcome to Montreal, when you win it's the best place to play when you lose it's the worst. Laine is what he is, if he doesn't score he doesn't do much, but come on he's playing with Dach who did nothing for 30+ games, and Newhook also. LAine still has more goals then anyone Except Caufield. Hutson also has no points in last 5 games, you know why? Cuz no body is scoring... do the math. They score 1 to 2 goals a game, you aint gonna win much without 3 goals.
The guy literally raised everyone’s game, when he joined Montreal. Invisible players suddenly started producing, and the team kept winning. He will be back again, he always comes in waves like his name suggests. ✌️
Harry Potter just called he needs his invisible cloak back. I know he is Finn, but man, he is cold. no emotions, no drive, lack of involvement in a game. Except of PP goals, he hasn't showed much so far.
Yes, even with Montreal winning, it was extremely noticeable how lazy Laine was 5 on 5. I also think Newhook consistently looks like he doesn't know how to move or handle the puck, but at least he shows more effort than Laine. Laine looks like he is playing shinny with the kids, and wants everyone to have a chance lol.
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
I want Laine in Vancouver, have since his draft year. Even after his troubles. He’d make the perfect winger for Pettersson. Just this feeling I got, I don’t know… Could be wrong, but I feel like they’d be the missing piece the other needs.
Yea for a couple games now you don't see any skating from him. Only when he gets the pucks you see a bit of a push. But other than that he is gliding around.
I wish Laine never signed for as much as he did and allowed himself to develop more without the crushing expectation of a 7+mil contract. Teams can't afford to figure it out with players costing that much
Who knew Laine is not a defensive juggernaut. He is pretty much the opposite, a type of player who plays defense when he feels like it and even then not very well. Habs knew (or should've known) what they were getting. Everyone knew and now people are somehow shocked...
I would like to defend Laine since he can score but he might not be a player type that most NHL teams are looking for. Fast turn arounds, battling corner and good defensive plays - thats not what Laine is. But i dont think you need a superstar center for him to be productive. You need just right kind of type and give Laine posibilty to play in a way that hes good at. When team get the puck in the own end Laine should be around center line not at own end - use other players there. Pass him the puck when he's skating forward. Give him little bit less defensive role even if it might cost some goals. Btw, at the pp there was Anaheim player shadowing Laine so it should open room for other players. I think that is important even if he dont score on pp.
As a Finn, I'm embarrassed how lazy Laine often is. Finns usually don't play hockey this way, as most hockey fans know. Laine has many fans in Finland, but also a lot of people feel exactly like the fans of the Jets, Blue Jackets or Canadiens do. This guy doesn't give 100% every night. Not even close. I think Habs would be better off without Laine. Chances are Laine ends up back in the European hockey scene pretty soon, or quits hockey. Very unstable (or uneven) player, can't be trusted in the long run. Four Nations tournament is coming up. If Laine plays great tournament (which I doubt), there might be some good things coming later on. We will see.
It looks like Laine needs to be sent down, like they did for Armia, for training, consistently, team building skills, effort rebuilding, physical training, etc. If that doesn't work, there is always the option to trade him for someone, or two, who want to try to win.
Maybe if Laine had a centre that could win faceoffs and a winger that could pass he might get a few more points Dach has been terrible Newhook is a 3rd line players
He may not like it but he needs to pratice 4checking and passing plays he's really talented with his hand eye coordination if you can speed up his play a little bit force his weight on other players he could be something extremely dangerous with this team 5 on 5 that style of play also comes with danger so you need to have grit does he have that I don't know yet...
Laina is lazy, we seen that in Winnipeg, the guy played as a goalie until 14 years old and drafted in the nhl as a player at 18 . The guy can’t skate, and his head is always down when he has the puck. Yes he has a hard shot. But to me he is like the long ball drives in golf competitions they can drive it a mile but are not even close to playing in the pga.
Laine has been lifted too much on the pedestal through his career because his great shot. So Teams have given him too much slack. Team captain or coach should say to him that your work ethics sucks, you are a good player but it Doesn’t show on the ice.
It's weird how bad Laine is when he has no one to blame. Dude just crumbles. He should just retire and play Fortnite professionally. He just doesn't care about hockey any more.
this is how he was in Winnipeg... he stays at the bottom circle just ready for the one timer... he was never known to be a skater... he looks like a robot when he skates... useless like Brock Boeser sorry to say...

Laine is not nhl player. He only got his shot
Habs fans should chase laine away. He doesn't do anything for Montreal
@@SaunaPerkele_5 Found a fan of Oulun Kärpät.
lol we just spent the past three weeks listening to habs fans telling us how elite he is and this time is different
Dudes awful, simple.
So basically just typical Laine. One of the best shooters in the league but invisible without the puck.
I wouldn't say one of the best shooters in NHL

One obvious thing about Laine is he plays emotionally. I think this losing streak has gotten to him… he can’t handle the grind
As a Jets fan. Nothing surprising here. Also, Jets unironically win this trade. Kupari/Iafalo/Vilardi for Laine via Dubois!
Damn right
get him better linemates
😂😂 sure
he had elite line mates in winnipeg.he hasnt changed nor will his play nomatter who he plays with.

Laine is a power play player. He does not driver the play. The Montreal GM does not really know hockey.
this is what winnipeg got.shows up to maybe 10-15 games a year.scores a hundred goals in blow outs but you cant find him in close games.
Harry Potter just called he needs his invisible cloak back. I know he is Finn, but man, he is cold. no emotions, no drive, lack of involvement in a game. Except of PP goals, he hasn't showed much so far.
Slow and lazy a bit harsh. Top 2 lines were disinterested in playing. Can't blame Laine.
He was like this in Winnipeg too
@@dnhoferand Columbus. He's really not that good at all

The contract is almost over. If he keeps disappointing, he won't get the same amount on the next one, and everything will be fine afterwards.
