- i genuinely cannot thank hiroyuki sawano enough for this. he has no idea how much his music means to me. i cannot put down how I feel about this piece in words. it'll not do it justice. but this piece kept me going. it keeps me going.

Imagine child eren in the sky arms out screaming “THIS IS FREEDOM”. I always viewed that moment as adult eren allowing his child self to enjoy the euphoria of finally being free while is adult self bears the weight of his actions.

This song alone makes it’s scene one of the saddest in the show. The nostalgic flashbacks to Hannes, and the good life that they had, mixed with the nostalgic childlike innocence of the song, is all just heartbreaking.
And that thought kicked in at 1:36 had fucking goosebumps

Each day Shingeki no Kyokin looks most like a distant memory.... A far time of my life.
Strange to think that some months ago I was crying over this beautiful masterpiece; Relating to the characters; Creating theories and waiting for new chapters.
I don't care about how it ended or what people think about this anime. Attack on Titan was probably what maintained my sanity during the pandemic; it really helped me go through stuff... It made my imagination and creativity live rent-free after a long time.
I enjoyed so much this all. I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to feel the things I felt while accompanying aot.

Actually this all did happen way back in time. Some people say that this show was based off islamic history. Back then the lifestyle in ep1 season 1 of aot showed how the people lived inside the walls with peace.
Acording to the history. A king was passing through the valley's and plains with his horse while he saw some village people in distress. He asked them what's wrong and everyone in the village started crying and pleading that there are two large giants who are ruining thier lives and are taking away most of thier life sources. The king promised to protect them and then built 3 walls for them to live in peace..
The giants name back then was
gog and magog. But they vanished after a while and they technically aren't dead yet. By god their commanded not to cause any harm to the humans and those giants are still roaming on the earth and not many people
know about it. But they will be back.

damn, i was barely 13 when I started watching SNK with my older cousins and now im 18 and it feels insane looking back and realizing that i grew up with these characters.
and just like them, i became someone i never thought i would be.
I was 11 when I touched the bare memory of eren training to be in the scout corpse. I was frightened so I stopped, 5 years later and it was my best decision ever to resume this memorising gift , almost a perfect anime.

i remember the three of them with hannes in that little flashback whilst hearing this at the end of season 2. god i could not stop crying. i literally cried for a week, it shattered me to see the only person left they could call family was taken away from them, by the same titan too. no anime has ever gotten me that moved before. legendary.
Everything was so much more simple when the titans were a mindless threat. To gain something, you must take from others. How things unfolded was the result of everyone doing what they thought they ought to do
This show truly is a once in a lifetime experience.
all that humanity went through, all we went through, thinking titans were the real enemies but realizing this world really has no enemies. the memories and the backstories of the characters and the plot was all the big masterpiece. it's so realistic and no matter how many times i rewatch this anime, it will always seem nostalgic

I watched this in the day the last ep of aot launched, hours earlier before it launched, i cried a lot while hearing this song, there will be never an other anime like aot.
I feel like this song, and this scene in particular, is where AOT really changed forever. Even through all the twists and heartbreak of seasons 1 and 2, we could still say "yeah I know what kind of show this is. I know where this is going", but this moment is when everything truly changed, and we couldn't go back to the show that we knew. In an odd way, I think of this scene, as sad as it is, as a beautiful memory of what AOT had once been - just humans fighting titans - but once Eren touched the titan, nothing was the same.
These thumbnails are amazing too. From where in the story the song comes up but the little bit of editing on the still shot just so clean to look at occasionally while loving the song.

@@mystiquegaming9767 the original nostalgia is obviously gone but going back to rewatch after knowing everything allows you to see each instance for what it actually is without having to frantically worry about how the plot is going to turn out. So much foreshadowing. So many hints and tip offs. Just a masterpiece.

AoT easily the best anime I've ever watched and I've watched anime since 2007-2008. Code Geass used to number 1, until I saw this masterpiece.

I have watched maybe a few animes in my life and I feel like I was living in this one after watching it. Attack on Titan really left an impact on me and I feel like I am not going to live long enough to see a better one than this one.
Exactly one year ago I discovered aot and finished the 3 seasons in one week, i remember how mesmerized I was and the rollercoaster of emotions I had watching this series and getting attached to the characters and the story, I honestly don’t know how I got attached to a series like that and still getting emotional for a soundtrack remembering everything of the series as if I was with them, tho I finished it a while ago I still can’t get over it…

the soundtrack of aot is so underrated. not like the openings, but songs like call of silence, call your name, XL-TT, vogel im kafig, eren zahyo, etc etc. it really adds to the atmosphere of the show and the scary, “oh no, its happening” feeling . aot is such a masterpeice and i will never shut up about it.

I didn’t watch aot yet (I will just after I’m done watching Black Clover [I’m almost done]) and this song gives such emotion and power. It literally touches my soul. A person I know doesn’t like anime, saying it’s cringe, but I really wanna show her the beauty of this and have this touch her soul too.

And I'll never forget this, until the very end. Aot might just be a story and the characters may be just drawings, but to me... Shingeki no Kyojin is a life I've lived with all those characters. I love this series so much. Ever since it shook the world in 2013, no other series has been able to make me feel the way AOT does. I've been following it for the past 8 years, and it'll truly be a different feeling to be able to witness this masterpiece conclude in the next few months. What a time to be alive. The tragic, yet beautiful tale of Eren Jaeger will always be my favourite. AOT will undoubtably go down as a modern classic in anime, and Eren Jaeger's character along with it. I don't care if anyone says otherwise; there will never be another story quite like AOT.
The end of the road, aot ended but our given hearts remained.
Of all Aot's songs this was the one that moved me the most, it's like Eren as a child reminds us of how different everything was, and that we'll never have Eren, Mikasa and Armin playing in that tree like happy children again...

this is so beautiful. i'm on s4 ep 6 of aot and honestly watching aot has been such a memorable journey, made me laugh, made me cry, made me anxious wondering what's gonna happen next and made me scream at my screen multiple times lol. i always get so emotionally attatched to the characters as if i'm the one going through what they've been through which makes the experience of watching so much more real. honestly i can't thank you enough for this it really is beautiful. i come back and listen to this everyday bc it has this sort of nostalgic vibe to it even though i haven't even finished watching but i know in the future i'm gonna look back at aot and just get a wave of nostalgia. ahhh i'm gonna cry thank you for this

this is what broke me; i’m not ready for it to be over. even though i finished the manga it still feels like they’re not gone yet but saying goodbye to them in the anime is going to be a turning point in my life. i know how ridiculous that sounds being just a manga/anime but it’s unlike anything else i’ve ever experienced, and it wouldn’t be that way without sawano’s music, the amazing voice actors and the anime studios working their asses off to make sure they get it right. one of the producers talks about the stress of doing the story justice in one of the guidebooks and it really shows how much they respect and value the world, the characters and the story.
hajime’s world envelopes your mind and brings you into it, and sawano’s music along with the absolutely perfect voice actors let you feel what the characters are feeling. you can feel their happiness and relief as well as their utter hopelessness, despair and bottomless loss. the music is so perfect for aot that it feels like sawano took it right out of hajime’s head while he was writing the story. even when i go reread the manga sawano’s music plays through the pages in my head.
i think this is a big part of why this show feels like actual memories and why what happens feels so real. there’s also all the subtle bits of word building done by the anime studios like the flag that falls and startles everyone that makes reiner realize they’ve been found out and everyone there knows what they are. all of that is conveyed in a few seconds without a single word. the way the various elements from different wildly talented people gel together give us what the aot anime is truly amazing.
the way i feel about aot and the way it makes me feel has never once happened to me in any other creative experience (movies, music, books, video games etc). many times i just finish something and i’ve forgotten about it by the next day but i’ve regularly thought the world, story and characters of aot for literally years. when i’m feeling bad a quote from one of the characters comes up in my head and helps encourage me, when i’m happy i think about how i shouldn’t take it for granted and should use it to live in the moment with the people i love and value. it rekindled my appreciation for my loved ones because even in a world without titans they can be taken from you in an instant and all you are left with are memories. there’s so much more than that but it’d take me forever to express and honestly no amount of words will ever do it justice.
i’m just not ready to say goodbye; i don’t know how to put it any other way. i’m losing my friends, and i can’t be there to comfort the ones who are left on their own in the vacuum where their lives and everything they knew and loved used to be. maybe it’s the one final lesson from aot. a story that constantly reminds us that nothing lasts forever will not last forever and we’ll be left in the same spot as mikasa. in a foreign world; a part of our souls gone. a part we had to put down ourselves in order to move on, with just our memories to take with us into the unknown.

I feel like we are part a of phenomenon. Like a shift in history. A band of people who were part of something much bigger than the simple ways of the world. No anime will be the same after attack on titan. It's gonna take a long while for an anime to top what we have experienced through this anime. This is one of those animes which I will grow old with and tell stories of to my grand kids. Thank you Iseyama for sharing this world with us.

I remember when the show first aired in sixth grade. I had no idea where the story would go but having read the manga and seen the extensive intricacies in even the soundtrack, I'm sure attack on titan will be looked at as a true work of art.
