Just a suggestion but maybe inform viewers that this requires a credit card(valid one with $ on it) so people without a card don't have to sit half way through this video.

I stumbled on this video by chance and I watched it from start to finish, thanks to your no bs approach, clear and concise explanation and easy to follow instructions. Up until I watched this video, I've never heard anything about oracle free tier. I can't believe something awesome like this can ever be free, in the era of montly subscriptions everywhere. I now have a working openvpn server kudos to you.

I just wantred to say thank you for this fast tutorial, no issues with setup. HOWEVER, if, like me, you are wanting this to set up an instance in another country so you can watch their content, the throughput is AWEFUL. I got around 60 KB/S down and 600 B/S Up... yes you are reading that right, LOL. Oh well. Didn't cost me anything to try.

    Hi,
What a great video! Some of my friends live in India, and I always see them using VPN to access certain sites. I think they will appreciate this video a lot. I think they use some paid VPNs to access some sites, and with your help, they will be able to save a lot of money and still get to access these sites. Your video was really helpful, and the process seem easy to follow. I will definitely share this within my network to help my friends.

I have a local server, which only accessible from local network, but some time I want to connect it remotely, so is it possible to setup OpenVPN or other to connect to that local network to access the server ? I have seen some video of openVPN which is limited to 2 connection, is there any other solution ?

I was about to say the opposite. I followed the instructions and after clicking on the part to get the App, it goes to an oracle login screen, then says that the verified email and password used to log-in with does not exist!!!
Either there is a change to the site or the instructions are wrong.

Thanks for the tutorial I got my VPN now up and running but the client speed is just between 10-15Mbps despite. If I perform a speedtest from the CLI of the instance I get speeds above 400Mbps. How can I get higher speeds on the vpn client? The instance location is London and I'm in Reading UK so I think I should get higher speeds, isn't?

However, when I type whats my IP into google it doesn't match my VPN and it just gives my actual IP. When I tye What's my location into google, it gives me my actual location also and not the VPN location. What do I need to change to make this VPN work correctly? Thanks

It looks great but when setting-up the Oracle Free Tier account (even though it's free) they still seem to ask for billing/credit card details (which I'm not prepared to give). Why is this required for a free service? It seems to be very much a US companies "thing" to ask for: whether it's free/free trial - not so much in Europe/the UK where consumer protection is better. Are there alternatives to Oracle?
