This helped me for the most part. I tried to follow along on my laptop but somethings were different. Luckily, I was able to figure it out and find the places you had suggested.
I wasn't holding out much hope that this would work after trying a few suggested fixes, including on Microsoft's website, BUT surprise! it worked! A big thanks to you!
THANK YOU SO MUCH OMG, my grandparents gave me their really old laptop, and after factory resetting it, it was still at 100% disk usage, bur after doing this it's back down to 10-30%.
I have done all this before, and just went back through, and double checked. Still getting 100% disc usage. It worked for a little while, then back to the same thing.
What a spectacular fix man. Also found out after getting attacked on fully updated pc that it's much better to just install an endpoint protection than rely on no-good-total-useless "uPDatEd" windows defender, that constantly wreaks havoc on systems resources
When you restart a computer it takes time to start all the processes... depending on how good your PC is, this might take some time. When you turn your PC on, let it do its thing for 10 minutes before you use it.
Mate I can't even open the trash bin, all I can do is look at the dektop and open taks manager pretty much IDK what happened cuz it's my aunts pc not mine, but it feels like the hardrive (an HDD btw) is somehow 100% full and it has no room to do almost anything, it also takes several minutes to boot up
It takes ages for it to open recycle bin, turn on, turn off (it only BEGINS to turn off after about 8 minutes of nothing). It also gets stuck at 99% of deleting big files and I have no idea how to fix it or why it's happening, but one of my disks is at 100% active time and another disk called"local disk" showed up in my file explorer." Local disk" doesn't show how full it's storage is or how much storage it has on it.
i saw brief improvement, specially after disable SysMain From 100 it dropped to 90 and writting speed improved much at moments. Interisting fact, the disk usage is back to normal after few minutes. (10% usage) not sure if is the video that helped or if I had something else running in the background. Anyway, thanks for the guidance it was helpful
I did this and now my computer seems to be malfunctioning! I now cannot sign in to my account, after receiving a message on booting up that my computer could not connect to the external storage device... there is no external storage device... what's happened?!
It was the god dam power option man Thank you so much I never seen it coming because I'm on a powerful PC but i choose to run Win 10 I have no idea why the hell do they implement this service on PC Power plans should only be available on LAPTOPs
Quick question, my laptop gets very slow at opening anything, going to search bar or windows menu or opening apps is so slow than the last year i used this laptop. Do 100% disk might be the reason?
Is there any additional information you can provide. I followed all suggestions and my computer was working well until about 6 days later and I'm back to 100% disc usage. Thank you
The only thing I can suggest is turning on your computer a good half hour before you use it. Give it time to start up and update before you put stress on the processor.
can you answer a question for me? i occasionally hit 100% disk usage but i have a gnarly pc 4090, ryzen 5900x3d might be the 5950 i have to check again and a good ssd. im hitting like 400mb download speeds while downloading a game and at 100% disk usage. is that okay? i’m a hardware guy not software
Didn't work for me, I've got about 15 machines that all have this problem at work, I just throw out and buy new ones but it's coming to a point that the boss is starting to ask questions.

This worked! I was about to throw my laptop away. Thank you so much!

Thank you. I did this. Seems to be working more quickly. Difficult to tell yet. I will come back and leave another review in a couple of weeks.

Unfortunately your instructions did not eliminate the 100% disk usage, at least for me, but they did speed up my computer a bit, somehow.
Thanks.
👍👍
Are you using an HHD or SSD?
@@the_mariocrafter HDD for now, why?
@@moneyonline1588 that's why, it because you are using an HDD, use an SSD if you want to speed up.
Are these services safe to disable on VDI environments?

Noticed my laptop was at 100% usage despite nothing being open, after I disabled telemetry and sysmain in services it instantly fixed it thanks.

Awesome!

If this didnt work then you have a security/malware/virus problem.
Time to upgrade them with SSDs. Best solution to speed up old pcs. Platter drives are obsolete as system drives.
does this guy slow down his video or that just me
Nah, my tutorials are quick. Just pause between steps :)
This didn't work. Still at 100%

My usage been at 100% now it’s at 0-10%

great tips but did not stop it from going 100%

Didn’t work for me.
Laptop or PC?
works
💯
My laptop is so slow takes me bout 10 minutes to get to the point where I complete the first step 😭 I think I’m just cooked
gotta be patient if youve never done this
@@GenXTech no but like I’m sitting here waiting for the apps to open like it takes 20 seconds just to register a click of my mousepad 😭
My laptop is so broken that "services" doesn't want to open😭
edit: it opened but it's slow at..i guess "fully opening" lmao idk.
You gotta be patient if youve never done this. It will take time..
WTF it worked!
BOOM!
Just save yourself time and replace your hard drive.
That cost money... Something most people dont have alot of.
Did NOT work...

None of this made any difference to the active disc usage. Useless.
If this doesnt help, unfortunately you're looking at failing hardware somewhere in your setup.
@@GenXTech fixed it after about an hour of troubleshooting. Issue with broken page files, which is apparently a very common reason for this issue.
At this point, why wont you rename your channel "CyberCPU Tech" and claim this his video about this?
🤔🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂😂
