Kayak fishing in rivers is not for beginners. Strong current and underwater obstructions make fast-flowing rivers something you should work up to, not necessarily dive right into. Always wear a life jacket and never try anything that makes you nervous or uncomfortable, because if you aren't sure if it's safe, it's probably not safe.
