A friend and I was fishing the Gallatin TN steam plant last winter. We had 2 big live skipjack on for stripers. He was casting for more skipjack when his bait got eaten. While he was trying to get his skipjack pole in , a Skippy hit his jig. So he set that pole down. While he was fighting the striper I see his skipjack, that's still hooked on the skipjack pole, swim up to the top of the water beside the boat. Then a 25 pound striper ate the skipjack and almost pulled the pole out of the boat. I'll never forget that. The most awesome fishing visual you could imagine.
Just wanted you to know I have enjoyed your videos a lot wherever you go to fish. An old lady like me can't get out there like that anymore, I still like fishing. Thank you for sharing your trip.
Wow! Spencer it was kind of looking like you were catching bait for the bait. Also Mark us such a stud hands off another great fish like it's nothing. Congrats on another healthy striped one. As always thanks for taking us along!
I’ve always been a creek rat and my bigs are baits compared to what you catch! Man ol man I wish I could fish giants with someone like you for sure! Always glad to see new content! Never change brother…your camp trips are therapeutic for us working dads
The whole time I was watching the familiarity was intense then I realized I was going down memory lane thanks for the ride and nice rockfish. It's good to see guys in my old backyard . The elk and duck are my backyard now
Man, Spencer, just love your channel! Being an old Iowa ex-pat river rat living in Minnesota, you won't believe the river catfish disrespect I hear from these lake walleye obsessed bozos up here. If I feel the need for walleye, I'll head down to a Mississippi channel dam. I also think I recognize some of my old haunts on the DM & mighty Coon rivers. Takes me back to flathead fishing with my uncle John. Ah, the smell of stinkbait in the morning! Keep up the good work!
I believe that. My gym teacher growing up was one of those walleye anglers you speak of haha. Glad you enjoy the videos , you're talking about some of my favorite places.
Man Mark is a great dude handing you the rod with that tank on it! What a guy. Is he guiding you? Or is he just a nice dude? And oh yea, I was about to comment yall are using fish for bait bigger than the fish I caught for 16 years lol.
That's SICK DUDE!!! Marks got the same alarm that I have ...and actually even ACTS THE SAME AS ME when it pops off!!...anyways..Spence...im headed back to THE LAKE to try and catch BIG FISH FOR THANKSGIVING!!!!hope yall have a GREAT ONE and CATCH A GREATTT ONE for Thanksgiving!!!!.....but I gotta say...I'm just a Lil jealous of you guys...but its got me ZEALOUSLY seeking BIGG FISH!!!!THANKS GUYS....KEEP'EM COMING!!!
You were fishing in my backyard for this video. We have caught a lot of striper there. I have caught more in the river instead of Caney Fork. Catch a lot of walleye and sauger in Caney.
I love your channel I love the fact that you use big hooks big baits for big fish I've tried fishing with numerous buddies and they don't fish like me and I don't like putting on a babysitting service I fish out of a kayak until I find a place where I can Porsche make a camp and I use baits anywhere from Palm size perch to three and a half 4 lb suckers and I do extremely well on the Guadalupe River be just North of San Antonio Texas and my favorite fish to catch is flatheads and your channel has taught me so much my six five six seven hot hooks weren't cutting it and I really need to use your two hook rig and I can probably catch some that would be 60s and 70s pretty much every weekend but I love your channel I'm still chasing the giant my biggest is 86 and no I didn't land it got it to the boat and it ended up the paper a couple weeks later where kid out of town 30 minutes from us caught it and it was my fish but no problem but still chasing Giants have fun and I will watch every video you post thank you
We do love fishing with big live skippies in tn.. hooking into the 30-40lb stripers is some of the most exciting fights you'll ever have. Oh and catching the big ones on artificial is even better :)
I do landscaping and fishing and hunting is harder . More enjoyable but it's work. A few hours in 10 degrees is going to be rough this weekend. Some good days and some good days with hunting and fishing.
I have one question when is the best time to go for flats head here in Illinois I’m from pekin by powerton witch I’ve seen u have fished before I usually fish at the Mackinaw river
if you ever convince ryan on a internation trip ya gotta strap a camra to his head just to see the random shit he gets into lol because we all know hed be the first to jump in after a fish and tto fight a crocodillaform
Man those are monster and those baits would be killer for flatties. Has dude ever tried trolling big rattle traps? I'll hit you back on Gmail in a day or two. We been busier than a cat covering up poop. Awesome vid and keep your powder dry and your pantry stocked young man 💪😎🙏
Nice job Spencer, enjoy the channel.. seems you are getting more commercials on your channel.. it's ok, I sit through them because? I think it's helps you with gas money.. 🎣😄
Dude down in tenn you gotta get with justin from kayak catfish. These two do vids together something. It would be a fan freakin tastic video. Per the usual of course.
You would break a nose for a 30 and chip off a cpl front teeth for a 50. If I ever got an opportunity to fish with you the first thing I would do is put my teeth in my pocket. Love your vids.

I got a trip to Texoma in February scheduled, hoping for some big stripped fish and some big blues. Great video Spencer keep it up.
Got to love it ! It’s cold and shitty here in Ohio ! Love watching you fish from the house where it’s warm .

I haven't been fishing in like two months now and it's killing me.
Marks got the same exact alarm as me 😂😂😂
Awesome catch man.

Well done bud!! Not quite a wels... But a great fish none the less 👌
I have one question when is the best time to go for flats head here in Illinois I’m from pekin by powerton witch I’ve seen u have fished before I usually fish at the Mackinaw river
Nice fish man get you some of that
Where are y’all fishing at?
I love all your videos, but I'm really missing flatheads. Spring needs to hurry.
What lure setup to catch skips
where y'all fishing at
For a big bait fish those skips seem a little temperamental in the tank. Nice to see you get a stick bender in the end!
I love fishing there!!
Night fishing stripers is always a blast. Even more fun when they hit a giant topwater or glide
Couldn’t you put some kind of aquarium tank oxygenation thing on your bait tank?
That striper was a beast. “PB?” Ha! Just kidding!! Looks like it was a great experience!!
Congratulations brother, I've never caught a striper
Awesome fish
Foley spoons are my go too skipjack lire that and crappie jigs they kill it in My area of arkansas
If big stripe Feesh don't get your heart pounding you may be dead! C'MON Baseball! Is it Spring yet?
Nice fish!
Where are you guys fishing at in Iowa? I live in NE Iowa and the rivers look similar but we don't have stripers like that
He's fishing in Tennessee with Marc Cooper.

*Boat weight rating tag* Am I a joke to you? 😆
Time paid off. Nice Striper.
if you ever convince ryan on a internation trip ya gotta strap a camra to his head just to see the random shit he gets into lol because we all know hed be the first to jump in after a fish and tto fight a crocodillaform
Glad I wasn't backing that boat up a tree for them. The humor author Patric F McManus has humorous outdoorsy stories competitive to this video.

Hell of a good fish

Dude with the net new to fishing?
Man I would love to go fish with you
I'm going to book a trip with him soon. (He's a guide with a website.)
What was the weight. I hate mysteries
Did you see all that deer meat at the beginning of the video
No tortillas?
In my head I was saying don’t put the net in the water till you are going to net him. You let him get away with that for a while before you said it.
I'd punch someone in the face..... lol
Thats classic
Did you want him to scoop’em in the net?! 😅
Now that was a sloppy striped fish
You would break a nose for a 30 and chip off a cpl front teeth for a 50. If I ever got an opportunity to fish with you the first thing I would do is put my teeth in my pocket. Love your vids.
Nice cow..
Thanks man
@@RiverCertified You know that means get a bigger one?
@@jameswalsh3976 I'm gonna try
Oklahoma water
Steep and leafy on that ramp.
I'd fish all day and all night for a big catfish but not for fish with stripes!!
🍀🤘🤘
He almost costed you that fish trying to net it one handed because he was worried about recording on his phone
Net job was cringey
Painful!
It always is with Spencer and his friends . They need to go trout fishing or something to get some better net skills lol 😂
Came here to say that 😂
