The competing superpowers in this anime are clearly stand-ins for the one's in the actual Cold War. The eastern superpower, where this is set is based on the USSR and is clearly communist, but it appears to be a less grim version, like the sort of rule Tito maintained in Yugoslavia.

In front of Aurora, Lev gives his neck to Irina so that she can suck blood of him which is almost like a kissu. Irina went for it. What a beautiful romantic scene. of course -_- she couldnt as she got interrupted by a bus ... Still i wished i could see Irina and Lev confess love to each other and kissu maybe for 2nd season? ... It didnt got added in this video but Anya helped Irina to make Kholodets, she not only taught Irina how to make Kholodets but also stood by as Kholodets tester and eat the try or early batch of Kholodets Irina made and gave Irina opinion on how to do more tasty Kholodets. Anya is such a great gigachad wingman.

The uniform is clearly inpired by the one worn in the 1970s i by the Soviet air forces, they respected the color scheme a bit and even the style by first making the cap's crown (the top piece of a peaked cap) stupidly huge, second by respecting the 2 rows of 5 golden buttons, third, the Insigna on the cap's crown is somewhat similar to the one found on the Soviet air forces cap.

It's in a vampire's nature to aim for the neck. And my guess is that he wants Irina to bite him on the neck as some form of validation and evidence of him getting closer to her. In most vampire related media, a human wanting to let a vampire drink from them usually means that they're falling in love with said vampire.
