Sunday afternoon tinkering with old cars...you can't beat it. There was a time, a generation or so ago when you'd see plenty of fellas tinkering with their cars at the weekend. Sadly a dying trend. A lot of the young kids can't even change a wheel or headlight bulb...lol Another great and useful video Martin. Thanks
always best to tidy up under the parts where you can't see saves time in the long run on costly repairs. whenever we strip down old cars that are scrap I always keep the screws and bolts etc they always come in useful when someone else has put the wrong parts back in a repair. Great video as always Martin hope you can film Jimmy painting the bumper repair Rob
Nice job done there. You have the confidence knowing that the pesky rust has been defeated and replaced with a coating that will last for ages. Great stuff Martin good work M8 :)
I've got a MK3 Mondeo edge I absolutely love the car same engine as the Mondeo st diesel..i have just purchased a mondeo st diesel thats got lots of mot failures and currently moving stuff over into my car just done the seats today and it's made a massive difference already
I recently found your videos when searching how to repair my mk6 transit inner wings so really appreciate your videos on that, I’m now in the process of repairing mine. You have a nice little buzz about you :) and I enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for sharing!
This is a job I need do to mine, I've got to fit the foam inserts because the bumpers sagging so this video is gonna help me get the bumper off so cheers Mart. Hope all is well mate.
Fantastic video Martin. See If you hadnt of reversed into the post you would never of found the rust and protected it with vactan and hamerite. Things do happen for a reason maybe.be nice to see the bumper all sprayed up and back on .your mondeo is mint love it .
Love seeing the jobs on the ST. Keep em coming. 😁 Will be laying my ST Derv up this November and stripping it back for a steady restore, over about a year to keep me busy on weekends, with a bit of Trojan playing in the background. Your vids give me the little tips and nudges in the right direction 👍
Nice job Martin, I think I'll have my bumpers and side skirts off my focus st and my mrs zafira gsi this summer. I have a quick question, I've bought a 2013 Yamaha Neos easy 50cc and the exhaust has another pipe coming off that goes to a rubber pipe which disappears under the seat. I think its something to do with emissions. Can this be deleted to run a sports exhaust system 🤔 any help will be appreciated 🙏 👍
It's glad you were taking the number off Martin ,you found that rust used the rubber seal ,you might not have seen that if you weren't 👍 ,didn't you used to used a rust treatment called MC51 ?

Nice one Dale.
@@retrorestore Just a thought, The ST would be a good project car for an EV conversion :)
I loved it when interior trim parts had actual screws, rather than the bazillion impossible to locate clips that you get in newer cars
Nice one mate looks good better than the rust on back trim looks good. Be good when bumper sprayed. 👍
The parcel shelf bracket, I think if I remember correctly are called laterals. I fitted them (amongst other things) to Astra Mk 1s.
Nice job Martin..whats the record called in your video.
I'd love to know the vauxhall zafira gti is? And a look around. Lots love them cars

I felt myself getting the urge to clean those exhaust tips lol while the bumper was off lol
They will get cleaned before it all goes back on.
@@retrorestore I never doubted you Martin lol it’s just a personal need lol
I've had a look underneath my car and only the back bumper stay if that's what you call is a bit rusty but not bad for 17 yrs old.

Yes, its pretty good stuff.
@@retrorestore cheers martin
Love it
Thanks for the videos on the Mondeo. After owning it for a few years, would you say that it's reliable, as Fords' are known for breaking a lot.
Its a cracking motor, I love it.
@@retrorestore Is that Australian for "yes, it's reliable".
It is reliable bud.
@@retrorestore Thank you sir. Much appreciated.
Nice
Might not be a bad idea to wrap that metal post with pipe insulation mate seeing that your eyesight is getting dodgy !! 😁
Lol Steve.

I really hate car plastics as you can't repair them.
