Ngā Tau o Te Herenga Waka-He Haka Pōhiri

A haka pōhiri performed during the 90s using the patu.
The project, Ngā Tau o Te Herenga Waka, was inspired by a gathering of different generations of alumni from Te Herenga Waka marae who attended Kathy ‘Gran’ Samuel’s tangihanga. A shared willingness to learn waiata over the years grew and this project was given impetus by the opening of the new Living Pā and reawakening of Te Tumu Herenga Waka.
Ngā Tau o Te Herenga Waka is a tribute to all who have had a strong connection to Te Herenga Waka marae over the years.
