It's the story behind the song that makes it so heartbreaking. Inspired by a true story of a pair of lovers -- One much older than the other. When the older one passes on, the younger one lives on and looks up at the stars every night. The rest of the world continues on...trees bloom, grass grows, and the days pass, but her heart is still lonely. Heaven seems closer to her than her true love. Where can I find you now, but in my memories? Maybe by looking up, I can reach you, somehow?
My Gosh ...this made me cry because I felt exactly this when I heard it the first time...
Thank you⚘❤💋🎶🎶🎶
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
i remember, when i practiced this song with my choir members, i always cried. idk why.
but i always tried to hide between the others so they wouldnt see me crying while singing this song...
its lyrics, notes, so unbelievable...
I wish they had their recordings on Spotify. Never have they had an interpretation that didn't please me.
Blown. Away. Why haven't more liked this?!?! Stunning performance.
This is beautiful. It is also my favorite performance of this piece that I've ever heard.
0:41 to 0:49 - The Soprano 2 really did a good job.
I love you night and day
As a star in the distant sky.
And I mourn for this one thing alone
That to love, our lifetime was so short.
A long road to heaven’s shining meadow
And never could I reach its end.
But a longer road leads to your heart
Which to me seems distant as a star.
High above the arch of heaven bends
And light so clear is falling.
Like a flow’ring tree the world is blooming.
Overwhelmed, my heart both cries and laughs.

If members of the choir cant sing cause theyre too busy crying, i want to know how much the audiance was crying

I watch these videos avidly, but they will never achieve the credibility they deserve until the competition organisers employ professional musical directors, those who know the musical scores, and can present us with the best views of the choral art.
The part what says everything about this magnificent peace of music is from 4:42 till 4.50, when a girl on right can't sing, because she is crying... That's says a lot how good this song is! I will agree with a comment from other Esenvald's song video: "Another beautiful piece from a music genius - Esenvalds"!
i saw it, when my conductor brought me here for the first time.
i couldnt stop my tears too, when we learned this amazing piece. i hide myself behind my friends, or wiped my tears fast, so no one could see it.
gosh. how times changing fast...
For such a small group they pull this song off amazingly well! Absolutely breathe taking!
