    Louie...Amazing technology isn't it! That thing is just beautiful ! I can't wait till the IQR is up & running with all that you've done to it. I bet you're just as itchy like the rest of us? The test ride is going to be out of this world! Thanks for sharing all your videos Louie.

      @@PowerModzOfficial Yes but not by much. The Alpha One skid weighs 37.6 lbs BUT it costs about half, has excellent snow clearing capabilities and strength is probably a none issue, Have you ever broken a regular skid?

    How are the typical grease/plastic insert points handled? Like to see it stripped down a bit to see the rest of the parts for the front and rear are mountings. They have a of close up shots on there site but couldn't find anything to explain how the wear point where handled. I assume plastic inserts?

      this suspension type sucks on trails, it's meant to get the sled up on the snow and to stop trenching with articulation of the pitch..all of that is lost on a groomed trail.

    This is totally awesome, for all the "nay sayers" out there just remember that carbon fiber has come a long ways, especially over the last decade. The advances from real life use/abuse of the technology in race/military applications and advanced tech that has come from it are amazing... the latest zero void CF that was at one time only available to the military and NASA is now available to the civilian market and you will be astounded and the things that will come out using it in the next 10 years. I even have a rifle with a CF barrel on it.. whoda thunkit 10 years ago. At $4K the initial cost is high but if you look at it (like you should) from a cost of ownership perspective this is actually cheap.. it will easily outlast several sleds and retain excellent resale value down the road should anyone ever want to sell one used.

    If i buy a fast m20 in canada its $5000. I have a 06 apex thats worth $5000. Now i have a $10,000 apex worth $5000. And im pretty sure that carbon fiber unit is wzy more then $5000 canadian. So much for a suspension upgrade!!!

    Looked on the website the rails alone are $1200. If I had to guess the the whole suspension is probably going to be in the $3000 up region. Especially seeing as the Aluminum one is $2800.

  • @BASSfinatic14
    @BASSfinatic14 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    very sick product! but If I'm reading the website right that's a 4000$ + rear suspension if we went to order. Which I'm sry but that's just frickin insane for a rear suspension or any after market part for that matter. you say that rev suspension was 60lbs in this vid? this one is 29-30lbs? is saving the 30 or so lbs really worth a 4k price tag? In my book fuck no lmao

    • @SnoFreaxx
      @SnoFreaxx 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      When mountain moders lose weight on their sled the first ponds are very cheap but as they go on the hardcore guys spend hundreds per pound. C3 full carbon built sleds go up to 30000$ dollars. The Carl's Motorsports RMK pro 900 boondocker's turbo C3 full carbon is worth 40000$ at 405 pounds. This is an amazing product as you stated and i agree its not for the average consumer, Can't wait to try this out :D

  • @RooTs1100
    @RooTs1100 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would love this but my sled was only 1600$ cdn and this is $2000 ? Wow . Must be awesome modding sleds for a living.

    This is not the best suspension ever hahaha you make me laugh. The best suspension maybe for Mountain riding!! If your looking for the best suspension ever you have to look at FAST. The M10 totally changed suspensions in snowmobiles. It was and actually still is a revolution in suspension technology. The big Four have completely copied them. Also you can thank the REV chassis and the rider forward and better balance of snowmobiles because of FAST. I like it its a nice piece but with that mono shock I bet it would totally suck ditch banging...

    • @PowerModzOfficial
      @PowerModzOfficial  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +stubby2871 Hey thanks for your comments, Ive seen the FAST suspension but have never tried it, have you tried the Mono suspension ditch banging? I'd try the FAST, I know how the Mono works because I've used it and it's a great suspension. Thanks for watching!

    • @JacobLAChristenson
      @JacobLAChristenson 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +PowerModz I have not tried the Mono, Im really skeptical just for the fact that I ve seen videos of the twin shock and why its better as far as the suspension as it moves through a bump. If you go to Fast they have videos of it. Also I dont do much powder riding as I live in western MN we dont get much powder but we do have ditches and the M10 suspension works really well for that. If you look at FASTs past they came out with their M10 for cross country racing which is allot of ditches etc. Sleds with the M10 dominated because riders didnt get fatigue so much riding the sled, it also helped give better control of the sled. Here are some sites to check out.

      I love the feedback, what do you like better about the R motion?

    • @quentinraffensperger1699
      @quentinraffensperger1699 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      first off you have the best sled videos on youtube by far, the rMotion is supposed to b tweaked a bit to be more progressive rate similar to the Polaris Rush...I still don't understand how it can be as good since Polaris have that huge monoshock....to me it just looks like Ski Doo made a minor change to the very back, oh not sure the part name, sorry, but looks like the very back of rMotion was tweaked abit. maybe you can fill me in on the engineering. would like to hear your thoughts on ski doo and polaris rear suspensions.
