just started watching your channel loving what your doing im wanting to join the regforce when im of age seeing blackdown ctc was a suprise at first then i rrealized where your regiment is from anyway great work keep it up
Just found your channel... Thanks for the videos on your kit. Can you please recommend good military surplus stores I can find quality cold weather gear from like your arctic mitts, mukluks (how does the sizing work with boots if I wear an 8 hiking boot?), maybe the sleep system? Thanks so much
@@desmondmorgan3389 I realize this is the rucksack gear. But, I was wondering, and might have asked this already, what would you pack in your 3 day assault pack for winter clothing? I’m just trying to get some ideas of how to set-up my 4 day assault pack that I bought for bush craft trips.
typically once your work day is done and you aren't on a course, you wear civvy clothing. it is frowned upon to walk around in your kit looking for attention when not working.
@@karnage965 what if you just do parade and just walk and to from home then what is that bad too? Like the one day a week type thing? Or weekend a month
@@karnage965 I mean like wearing the gloves or toque to stay warm when shoveling your driveway or working outdoors during the winter months while on your civilian time. Definitely NOT for looking for attention. Like the non camo stuff.
Past me being a patriot of Canada I have to say Canadian army gear realistically is some of the saddest shit I have honestly seen in a while. You can go to an American military surplus store and Ebay and kit yourself way better than what's issued there.
That 70's parka and pants kept me alive and ready to fight when in the arctic in the 80's, great pockets, great wind/waterproof material, warm AF and tough as nails. Why change it.
Not sure if you mean how young can you be or how old can you get without being able to join. I'll answer for both. 17 with parents consent, otherwise 18. Or paid education program for 16, also with parents consent. Need grade 10 education generally, but depending on your job you made need higher levels of education. And as far as I know you can be old as heck and join as long as you can do your job.

Boots and gloves are old, and if you master sergeant didn’t tell you: hockey tape that hat-band white ;)
Do you need all that on when training? being hot and sweating is worse no?

Wow I remember all that stuff. Some of it as changed
This is for reserved people
They only give you 1 insulated canteen? We are issued two insulated canteen in the US Army
Can you show your dress uniform
Do you know if the issued kit in reserves is different than if you were full time

do you have a parade uniform as a reservist?
@@AlexMorin-k7u yes it’s called your DEU( Dress Environmental Uniform)
Do you ever wear these when you're in your civilian life?

also, mixing civvy kit with Mil Kit is a really surefire way to get reamed out by the CoC and do extras.

Not a fan of the digicams, prefer the solid olives...
Funny you guys are still using 70’s parka and cold pants

@@joeygoguen1525 Not true, it is actually some of the best.
So all the gear from this vid and the first reservists get all of it? Like brand new?
Is there a cut off age to join CAF
