I have one and the insides are kinda cheapy crappy... This is my take:
- They've really over done it with flex cuts on the switch plate; it bends too easy so the win, left alt, right alt and fn keys are sloping up towards the spacebar
- The foam inbetween the PCB and switch plate is very cheap and compresses way too easy
- The hex case screws are miniscule and after 4 times opening it up and tightening it closed, one of the screw heads snapped. Luckily I got the remainder out of the case. Couldn't find the tiny diameter screws anywhere and the metal of the case is too thin to drill and tap them to fit thicker screws... so I ordered a box of the same cheapy ones on Ali
- the spaces of the inside of the case where the gasket socks should go are quite undersized so you have to squeeze the gasket socks in to close the case; not sure if they do anything at all because the case compresses the socks so much
have you seen epo's new return policies?
I have not, but I don't trust them, they've lied before, but I'll sneak a peek when I get a chance.
Heads up with the wired barebones kits, at least the pink ones, two in a row DOA from Amazon, loose USB connector, wouldn't make a solid connection with any cable. Didn't disassemble to troubleshoot, possibly an easy fix but not worth the trouble for me.
I got real interested in this until I noticed the USB issues. Also Epomaker can be iffy. Again, I hate that the companies do all the work they appear to have done on the board and then fail at the first hurdle in not using a QMK enabled MCU. It is so dumb because I got a small QMK compatible pcb (rp2040 based) for had wiring keyboards for like $4us. That included PCB and extras + tax and postage to my do so what would it cost them for QMK in this, probably a few cents

It sounds AMAZING.
Very good and fair review as always. I guess Feker chose well the name for the switches, they definitely sound like marble! I think you´re right, most people will be happy with the out of the box sound of the keyboard. Since it´s an alu board, I would personally go for a ´clackier¨ sound, but that´s just me.
To me, the only downside of getting an alu board is that once you go alu, you have a hard time going back to even considering plastic boards. You get spoiled by the feel, sound and heft of the board. Not to mention the looks once you go a little higher end start to get boards with brass weights and all that jazz lol. I´m glad you´re feeling better! Pura vida my friend!
