- In this video I visit a new coin shop called "Local Coin Company" in Tualatin, OR and the owner invites me behind the counter for an inside look at their massive online silver selling operation. He talks about selling silver locally and how he has seen demand for silver change over the last few years. We talk about silver stacking in general and what the best types of silver are right now for silver stacking and silver investing. We talk about silver coins, silver bars, generic silver and everything a local coin shop can carry. I have been to many local coin shops in my life but I have never been invited to see the inner workings before. I had a great time visiting the Local Coin Company and I look forward to going back again!

The best coin shops are always the most transparent. These guys get it for sure. If you walk in a shop and they can't give you a straightforward sell/buyback price like these guys do, do yourself a favor and walk right back out the door.

One place honesty and integrity are always tested is in a precious metals shop. If you question either honesty or integrity within any shop, what is the agenda behind the failure? I'd keep right on moving out the door if there was no resolve!! I think like its a crime and to protect myself.
It's so strange that coin stores are ignorant to the idea of people buying silver as a collection . In the video when the guy explained what he would recommend, to someone that was new to silver, collecting wasn't one of the criteria (investment, protection of an asset, bartering, etc.) he would take into consideration. Most of the people I know that are buying silver coins/rounds are doing it as a collection. They like the images on the coins and want to collect series of coins with a different image on each. My local coin shops don't comprehend this either and store their coins in a box for people to dig through with no protection and throw the coins around. There has been several times I wanted a coin in my local show but didn't buy it because it was scratched or had finger prints on it. In the video the guy picks up the eagle and touches the face with his bare hand and then throws it back in the pile. It's no different than a generic after that treatment. Why not handle the coins properly to keep them in good condition for people that buy them a collection (to look at)
Paying 22x is awesome! My LCS is stuck at 17x. He still charges 25x. I think I need a new store!

The markup on that stuff is outrageous now.i am so glad i piled up on junk 25/ 15 yrs ago.i basically have tripled my investment.dealers were basically giving the dimes,qurtrs and halves away.nothing against your purchases,that coinage is disapearing fast.
I just started buying silver find your youtube good info for newbies. Anyway ASE cost more in europe and that sucks becouse there is only spot price for selling it back to our vendors they dont give back the cost premium over say Maples which cost around 10 dollars less. I Will buy what is giving the most bang for my buck it Will not be Eagles in my country.

most people aren't into platinum... great time to buy platinum!!!
Platinum is going up, hydrogen cars using 2 ounces per. Catalytic mufflers are switched back to platinum. .005 per mil. in the earths crust, gold .004 but platinum half the price.

@@QuadTap It is scarce, there is slightly more of Platinum per million in the earths crust, but you have to dig deeper into the earth. In South Africa which has 3 of the 4 biggest mines for platinum in the world, they have to dig very deep down the mine shaft to attain the metal and the cost is approaching 900 per ounce.

Yeah it is nuts I had a pair of earrings in my cart and got busy and when back to pay and it went up 20 bucks when gold went down, so how could the cost go up twenty dollar when the metal went down ,, same think for nickels was 4.99 a roll and it went up over 6 and everything went down, I don't get it so emptied my cart forget it.
I have been there their prices are by far the worst I’ve ever seen meaning they buy low and they sell sale high
They’re very transparent. Their prices are on the Internet they fluctuate every single day, and as soon as you walk into the store, you can see the price on the counter and wall.. That being said, they’re in the business to make money and keep the lights turned on.
@@bigjonpart123 compared to Harry’s Coin shop they are as much as $3 higher on the same silver items.

There are 3 in my area 2 are jerks so I stick with Coinhuskers.. It’s fun to look at other shops, but Coinhuskers has the best prices by far
Yeah, my guys are too here in Georgia. And their hours are always inconsistent. it’s always a guessing game. when I found Local coin company on Instagram I’ve never looked back. They have great personalities. They cut up with you and you really do feel like family. I’m not just saying that I actually mean that.

It's ludicrous to buy Eagles at this point. The Brittanias & Maple Leafs are virtually just as universally recognized around the world, AND harder to counterfeit

I’ve been buying gold and silver for over 20 years. ASEs are a complete ripoff. I wouldn’t touch one with a ten foot pole right now.

1 & 1/2 hrs from my house. I will have to stop in.
From my perspective in Canada, Maples and "junk" silver are the way to go.
I have international coins, including ASEs, but I'm trading them off for Canadian coinage.
I feel if we get in to a total shtf, your nation's coins are the best bet.
I love generic rounds, but will an uneducated public be as enthusiastic. So many fakes out there, so I stick with gov minted coins and bullion.

I analyze gold, silver, platinum for them it is excellent. If you want to sell unknown certificate will cost you more than $600 a piece!
Stay away from junk after. 1966. Lots of confusion on 67/68 with the 50/80 % silver content..Gateway in Winnipeg gave best prices on these coins…

For the lower denominations, I buy '66 and earlier.

$40/oz ASE.... just no no for me... focus on stacking weights and lowest premium pure Silver bars. else just stack gold bars!

@@anthonys239 Silver at $50 with everybody selling won't be silver at $50 for long. $15 silver will have everybody selling to get out. Prices and moods change, almost literally, on a dime.

On Your Junk Silver is the Price Dollar Face or Troy? Any Taxes for Out of state PA No Sales Tax in PA.
Why Whatnot though? Their transaction fees are 10+% . Seems like there would be better apps to purchase from.
