Loved that intro (and ending)! When I was a kid, I definitely thought both of those characters were bug-like aliens, so Zuckuss didn't seem wrong to be the droid's name. I didn't even give Kenner's 4-LOM's name a second thought. I only picked up Zuckuss as a kid.

I just managed to pick up this 2 pack for £22.99 here in the UK. I agree with you, the movie-accurate 4-LOM and the Kenner-style Zuckuss pair well together on the shelf. For some reason the movie-accurate Zuckus just looks too dark.
Dang forgot to ask in my other too long post, but is 4-LOM’S (the Droid!) head cast in the same translucent green plastic as the original release? Since his eyes are totally painted over in this release there wouldnt seem to be a need but hey, how often we see that!!!!
It kinda begrudges me to say I prefer this Zuckuss over the regular release. I know the bulkier robes and color are more accurate but this just looks so pleasing as a figure

Two of my favorite bounty hunters! Zuckus and 4-Lom were a team, due to Zuckus being an amonia breather. The planet he's from has an amonia atmosphere, which is the reason for the breath mask. Their ship is called The Swirling Mist, ( kinda weird, but the story is pretty deep) and the ship doesn't have life support, so Zuckus and 4-Lom only brings in dead bounties. Zuckus is clairvoyant, so he actually has a bit of a jump on his bounties. 4-Lom was a casino Droid that became self aware and left the casino after robbing the place, using the cash for memory upgrades. Damn, I'm such a nerd. Great review, Robo. Hope this bit of useless trivia helps.

I totally agree The vintage coloring is the best and that's what makes those action figures awesome I remember getting those as a kid and kind of knowing the mix-up was wrong yeah I love the bounty hunters of Star wars bubble fat IG 88 boss for long circus and dengar

Makes sense that the robot looking guy would have the droid name and that's why I always referred to him that way and the other guy as Zuckuss. Awesome of Hasbro to pay homage to the original Kenner figures with the name swap! I'm just going to stick with the original 6" releases of these guys though.
We don't necessarily know that 4-LOM "is a droid name." Some alien cultures could have names beginning with numbers followed by all caps. It's also possible that given their similar heads, Kenner assumed they were both droids. Also, fun fact, in the script, Zuckuss was human and described similarly to Dengar, while 4-LOM isn't mentioned at all (he appears to have been a late addition to the lineup during filming to increase the number of bounty hunters).

Keep in mind, Zuckuss is human in the script, and 4-LOM isn't in the scene at all (he appears to have been added late in the game to increase the number of bounty hunters present, and a buglike head on a protocol droid body seemed like a quick way to whip up something weird and attention-getting).
All of these vintage coloured figures just makes me sad the 40th Anniversary Luke didn't have the yellow hair or saber. These do look fantastic however!

He MENTIONS (the possibility of?) a bounty on Han's head, and I believe bounty hunters ARE mentioned, and he snidely adds that "I'm lucky I found you first," but you don't need to be a bounty hunter to collect a bounty. Besides, up until "Over my dead body," Greedo seems more interested in collecting the money than in capturing or killing Han. Where the idea that Greedo HIMSELF is a bounty hunter actually came from, I don't know; at best, the movie scene only slightly implies it, but he seems to lean more towards being just a thug sent for a shakedown.
If I'm honest I think I prefer the original black series releases of these figures. 4-lom/zuckuss just looks to clean and lacks details to his armour like Brown rust or whatever. Even if the clean look and blue eyes is a call back to the 80s I just can't take too them! I should like it but I don't!

Or did they just get changed later, sorta like how LucasFilm originally had both Tagge and Motti as generals (in direct defiance of Tagge being addressed as "Commander") but then arbitrarily decided, no, Motti is actually an admiral? I'm inclined to think that the Kenner names weren't an error, unless someone can prove that there's anything identifying the buglike alien as Zuckuss and the buglike droid as 4-LOM which predates the figures. The script is no help. In it, Zuckuss is human and 4-LOM doesn't appear at all (and Bossk is a kind of octopus-like alien but that's neither here nor there).

Zuckuss is from a species called Gand, 4-LOM was a protocol droid created by the Gand.

I think the "Kenner colors" is more screen accurate for Zuckuss's robe than the regular release.
