Thanks Brent, you are a great man to do business with. You do what you say you’re going to do, no B.S., very professional and knowledgeable. I can’t wait to install this “small engine “ in the Fairlane.

I'm a Chrysler Hemi man but I love the ford's! (Even own a little 90 LX) I may shoehorn one of my Hemi's in it once I split the block. (13lbs stock bottom end) But I absolutely love the Tunnel port FE!! It's rarity and power is awesome! My father and his then boss built a 41' willys with a 427 TP. Get this, it had aluminum heads!! He remembers they sold the heads for $500!!!
Imagine what those would be worth today!!

600 Ft lbs of Torque is neck snappy Happy! In that Fairlane it’s going to be a Walloping Good Time! Outstanding as always!

I hear a place called dove makes aluminum tunnel port heads, they make big horse FE engines too!

Very nice engine. I love the care you take of these engines for people, much respect! As nice as this engine is, it's out of my league. What I really like seeing is your 352( junkie junk)! Defenatly not junk! But I feel more relatable seeing that thing. Again more caliber than any of mine but feel much more in touch seeing engines with oem cast iron heads! It let's me kinda see what some of the parts I own are truly capable of when the right work & combos are applied.

We had one in the early to mid 70’s. Ours was a 447 CI which was a 427 block and bore with a 428 crankshaft. TRW sold posting with the correct wrist location so it was budget. We had tunnel Port heads with a single four barrel. We never could locate a two four intake. We raced it in a stock 69 Mustang that was a original NHRA Super Stock car with a 428CJ. We never had a dyno so had no idea how much power it had. The car was set up with narrowed rear end 14” drag slicks. The only engine non Ford part was a roller cam. The car ran 10.30’s in the 1/4 mile at around 129 MPH. I know it didn’t have the power this one does but I’m guessing it was about 560 horsepower.

My grandpa was a pretty serious Ford guy and did lots of drag racing in the 60s & 70s and stopped sometime in the early 80s. His shop was full of old FE stuff when he passed. Thankfully it wasnt sold off or scattereinto the wind by any of my uncles or my dad. I recently started going through it and wow did he have some nice stuff. Its going to be interesting to dig deeper and discover exactly what has been in there for the last 40 years collecting dusst.

I know you probably are jaded, but this engine is probably the best looking thing anyone could ask for under the hood of your ford! Hard to believe that tunnel ports still aren’t tall enough to get the max performance, and need the spacers. 600/600 ought to move whatever you are putting it in!

Now if it were just mine to fit an awesome old Fairlane or maybe my F100... Joking aside, it is wild when you detune an engine to REMOVE power & still makes 650HP/550TQ (if I remember correctly). Great work.

I pitched the Alt & 1 Battery ,put a 16 volt Battery , knocked off 50 lbs on my 484 FE Super Gas car .Never worry bout enough to start at the line anymore .MSD luvs it .Just put the charger on it ,do your maint , remove charger & go ,never worry bout enough again .All my 12 volt items work great . Gotta be some one making a 16 volt charger for street cars .I shoulda done this long time ago , its about 500.00$. But removes any worry bout will it start .

THE TUNNEL PORT MOTOR WAS DESIGNED TO WORK WITH A DUAL QUAD SET UP. AT THE TIME THE CHRYSLER HEMI WAS USING A DUAL QUAD SET UP. WHEN NASCAR FOUND OUT IT WAS DESIGNED AND WORKS BEST WITH A DUAL QUAD SETUP.. NASCAR CHANGED THE RULES TO ALLOW ONLY ONE CARBURETOR TO STOP THE TUNNEL PORT MOTOR FROM DOMINATING OVER CHRYSLER HEMI THAT'S HOW THE MOTOR CAME TO AN END. THE PONTIAC RAM V HEADS. ARE COPIES OF FORDS TUNNEL HEADS. JOHN DELOREAN BROTHER GEORGE DELOREAN WORK FOR FORD AND WAS AN ENGINEER AND WORKED ON THE TUNNEL PORT PROJECT. THIS IS HOW PONTIAC GOT IT.
