Another little tip for cooking fish is New Golden Sands Outpost (will be called Port Merrick in future) Go into the tavern and up the first flight of stairs, you can find a cooking area with 3 pans (Not as good as a sea fort's 4 pans but it doesn't require killing phantoms)

Sorry about that, yeah. Glad the video helped and in the future I'll pay closer attention to the audio mix. Somehow slipped by miss this time.
I typically solo sloop & fish but it becomes rather tedious solo. I really need to find a sloop-mate that has the same SoT interests as myself. I just want to grind out Hunters Call & finish the tall tales.
There's are Discords you can join or XBOX LFG that have people looking to fish. Check them out!
You can also cook the bait for som3 crunchiness and charcoal flavor or just eat it raw, with a gooey surprise. Lots of nutrients!
The PVP bait Meta is real, no joke!
the nameplates are nice and all but fishing is still by far the most tedious grind in this game. I was thinking something cool they could change would be rods reel in faster the higher you get with the hunters call rep so that you actually get rewarded instead of having to spend literally 30 minutes to catch 10 fish xD
I recently tweeted that Rare should scale the fishing timer based on the crew size, like with the world event difficulty scaling so I absolutely feel you here.
Liked and subscribed. My next adventure I will be doing this. Thank you!
Excellent! Make sure you do it during the Double Rewards Day for Hunter's Call coming up! Or Gold & Glory Weekend!
@@JonBardcore Yes thank you.Looked it up...Double Rewards Week February 20th - February 27th. Hunters Call is Thursday the 23rd. Plus Gold and Glory weekend! I am jazzed!
You can buy captaincy supplies at the sea dogs tavern too
You're absolutely right!
Is the fishing for cooking to eat. ? Is there survival mechanics for this game ?
So you can cook the fish for health and a health regen over time. But you are not *forced* to eat fish just to live like in survival gaes.
yea I'm a Legendary Hunter too, BEFORE THERE WERE NO NAMES, NO BAIT CRATES AND NO SOVEREIGNS.
Yall got it so easy now adays! =P
Is it a good idea to just swim around map, find wrecks and look for fish inside? Sometimes there are rare fish in barrels.
I would just stick with one shipwreck and wait for the fish to respawn in barrels.
I sold a trophy snow wrecker for 31,647 gold not during a gold rush event. I was so caught off guard, do they keep changing the prices? No guide anywhere has it coming remotely close to that much
No, gold should be static for fishes! You sure it wasn't a G&G or Gold Rush?
I love how your chanel grows, but music was bit too loud for me :)
Noted!
Ever since ocarina of time ive loved fishing mini games
Me too! Fishing within videos games is life!
I caught a Trophy Forsaken Devilfish last night that was worth 16800-16900 gold in the Ashen Area by using grub.
Hell yeah, GG!
Holy shit, i love fishing since we can do it in SoT but i never thought about the refresh of shipwrecks barrels O: ! This is awesome !
Many don't, don't worry. But between the usual distance of players to shipwrecks it's a great place to be!
But how long the session was ?
Admittedly it was a longer one but you can increase your fishing gold potential even more by getting a fishing party together through things like the Sea of Thieves Discord or XBOX LFG. Imagine all four of you casting your lines looking for rare fish. Your chances literally quadruple!
@@JonBardcore I mean it was like 4-5 hours ?
And yeah, planning to do fishing session once woth my friends, this is a cool thing to do
@@Grez_v2 I think 7 ish? I dilly-dallied for a bit while recording.
@@JonBardcore Heck, that's a lot, I don't think I can handle this much :D
Missed opportunity to say "So long, and thanks for all the fish."
I debated on it reaaaaaaaaaly hard. :)
You missed a golden opportunity to say "So long, and thanks for all the fish"
I reaaaaaaly thought about it. :D
I spent like 9 hours finding the last 6 snow wreckers I needed. Totally worth it 😤
Let's gooooo, GG.
Hey man. How about the shipwrecks of the legend of the Veil. There are 4 ships which means much more fish in the barrels to get
Potential extra fish in barrels, yes. But to my knowledge those shipwrecks don't count as actual shipwrecks for wreckers.
@@JonBardcore Hey Jon. I actually test it this out yesterday and you can get wreckers there but the fish in the barrels don't spawn after some time
@@MrVictor1227 Good to know!!
I’m not sure how you’ve done it, but Mr Bardcore, you’ve made me want to fish in Sea of Thieves. Curse you and thank you.
And my job here is done! GG!
I can't seem to reliably find shipwrecks, but when I can find one it's great
You can also make them yourself with Merchant Lost Shipment voyages!
Any tips on finding a shipwreck besides the pelicans?
You can actually create them using Lost Shipment voyages and Legend of the Veil quests. Both will have Maps to lead you right to them!
Can you please do a current and updated SOT fishing video? Please and thank you!
I wish they would update Hunter's Call then I would! ; _ ;
Getting legendary before nameplates was such a bitch man lol, i love fishing even more now, same name for GT if you ever wanna stack with another dedicated legendary hunter
OMG, fishers today have it SO EASY with nameplates. For real.
Now I LOVE sot but still, I’m yet to start the fishing grind 😂
It's a real one for sure. Can't get around it unless you happen to sink a fishing boat.
I am just beginning fishing and I I love it
That's awesome!
@@JonBardcore :0
When is gold rush?
Take a look at the Sea of Thieves Wiki to find your timezone! seaofthieves.fandom.com/wiki/Gold_Rush
@@JonBardcore incredible, both times happen while I’m at work. Thanks for the info.
@@Jackthat1 Ooof sorry about that. But try to take advantage of the upcoming Double Rewards day for Hunter's Call. It'll be 2x rewards all day on the 23rd starting at 12AM UTC.
I do want to do more fishing but I just can't find a crew interested as much as I am
Try places like Xbox groups or if you have Discord the Sea of Thieves Discord channel. I see people asking for fishing boats all the time there
You can buy bait crates at the fish selling spots and you get 50 of each
You sure can nowadays!
You really missed an opportunity to say “so long and thanks for all the fish”
I know but it feels like something not to mess with
