If they didn’t have issues respecting him before the season aired, seeing it work out (as well as his treatment of other grown children - Garrett, Gabe) and his lack of caring (Ysabel’s surgery) for them. Basically, he’s an ass.
Keep in mind, Christine used to be basically the family nanny and looked after all of the children while Janelle worked.

C and J said their relationship was not romantic, M thought it was but what does anyone know at 20 she thought she was going to have 6 kids, Robyn is a love match but by then you can't just ditch 3 wives and 13 kids. I think C gets treated inferior because her contribution was home maker not income earner, home schooling is hard and the kids see in C and J polar opposites, career Janelle and Home-maker C, what broke the mold was not Kody showering at C but that Robyn's kids did not join C home schooling, R slapped C parenting hard. Remember R has an Aspie son, one with crippling panic disorders, and another with a resp disorder plus birthing problems, his desire to protect his "broken kids" is larger than his healthy kids who can protect themselves. I think R chose a nanny becoz she didn't believe C could cope with all that plus her 3, 4, 5 it was a major smackdown on TV. No one ever told J she could not run the family budget even though she's an accountant. Declaring in front of a brand new family your wives aren't good enough for me and my kids would have been so hard to take especially since they did not marry til after they left Utah and the 2 year chase to tame Robyn would have been obvious to everyone at the end of the day, he was just a randy guy with a belief the more kids you have the better heaven looks, what guy wouldn't. Meri wasn't putting out so J delivered but didn't want to mother so add C and the 3 could have lived in Utah quiet peacefully off the radar but Kody thought he knew better and leaving the faith to move around the states was his a biggest mistake. He just didn't want to go to jail and Utah should have fixed those laws long ago, so C would never have joined in the first place.

So kody went in the car with the entire Robin gang to get tested.... couldn't be bothered to go for his daughters surgery... but he could go to the funeral of one of his father's wives, who was also Janelles mother. And when Robin's daughter DEMANDED everyone attend her birthday party, he had no problem with it. Everyone had to get tested to attend... except Robin's household... so he throws a superspreader party thanks to the nanny
Does that mean....shock...horror... that the nanny wasn't adhering to Robin's covid rules? But that can't be, Kody and Robin both said they KNEW she was being careful..

Something about this is off... we see the party on Saturday..then we see that it's 3 days later..
Robin comes on with her dramatic eyes, pulling herself together, an actress she is not.. she informs us she saw the nanny on Thursday, had the party on Saturday and the NEXT day (Sunday) the nanny calls to say her AND her Husband are testing positive...
Later we are told oh her husband tested positive on Sunday and the nanny tested positive on Tuesday....which is actually the day it was being recorded. 3 days after the party.
So which was it? Did she change so it would look like the nannys husband brought covid home from work... kody and Robin didn't bring it from their night out in a restaurant... poor nanny did everything to abide by the rules.....ahhh ...... no... someone from Robin's household got covid, maybe the nanny , maybe Robin, maybe Kody.
None of the other wives were in contact with the nanny...
Can we please end this show off now? All "wives", they aren't, should leave. God will watch out for them, i do believe that. Leave Kodex Kody to Robyn. Enough already. They make me physically, spiritually sick.

Christine raised/home schooled all the kids while Meri and Janelle brought home the bacon. Cody was never a steady earner. And still is not now. And Robyn she sleeps till noon and does alot of nothing.

He broke Ysabel's heart when he didn't want her to get back surgery yet, suggested that she go BY HERSELF as a teenager, and then didn't go to be there to support her. He also couldn't be bothered to leave Robyn long enough to come to Christine's house to help with Ysabel's recovery after her spinal surgery.
