Just a heads up, but if lidia transitions to heaven and earth off of a move to make it 'safe', heaven and earth counts as a parry. Meaning she can be grabbed out of all options and the grab is unbreakable. So it's not as strong as it seems, the punish just changes to a grab instead of hits.
Lidia Is mid no matter how you play her compared to the top tier characters very sad indeed. The DLcs seem to have to trend of being Mid tiers same as Eddy
@@Justlookingaround19 Personally i dont think lidia is horrible, however i dont think she is playing tekken 8. Lidia requires to much 'getting reactions and information off of your opponent' before her strengths start to shine, for example do ff2 or db3 into nothing and see what your opponent does, do they down jab, power crush, try to interrupt, grab... see how they react to your stance pressure and just get out of the stance to be safe. Than as you see your opponent does the exact same thing after you enter stance, do what counter their option. Though in my honest opinion thats too much tekken 7 gameplay and i feel as if other characters require much less checking and testing of the opponent to be played at full potential. Edit: And the rest of her neutral tools are lacking pretty bad as well to be ignoring her 'stance pressure' which i wish i could do so that i could occasionaly hit confirm ff2 and have like a 'make my opponent forget about ff2' kind of plasystyle, but sadly you kinda have to rinse your opponent with ff2 in db3 to the point they will be on high alert for those moves
Hey good vid! The only thing I am missing as a beginner are the definitiv inputs I have to deal with. Sure I could look up myself but would be nice to have a layer showing every single step.
I don't know if it's the answer you're looking for hopkick into Heaven and Earth setup, be careful for armor moves, such as power crushes, heat burst and rage art, they will beat your hopkick.
What ive been doing is H&E 2, then if it hits block i use df2 at 15f and hold up to get back to H&E. I just loop this over and over cause even if they never duck the chip is insane. Lol it also works to condition someone to stand block so its easier to hit the unblockable.
You can always hold back to get out of your stances quickly. It helps a ton and it can alllow you to block things you may not have blocked. Also, here is a quick tip on how to calculate if your move is safe or not if you hold back: Add +8 frames to opponents frame advantage. For example; Horse 1 is -1 for opponent. If we add 8 frames to it, we can see that it's completely safe (if you hold back of course) (it's +7). If you don't hold back and decide to continue with Wolf options (saying wolf because I gave exapmle on Horse 1 of course), the fastest option she has is Wolf 2 which is i15. If we include the -1 from the hit of Horse 1, we can see that in order to trade, opponent has to do i14 move (aka jabs beat this like you said lol). What I'm trying to say is, holding back can be very effective in many situations. It can also be very helpful with info. You can throw safe move like df2, ff2 and hold back to see how your opponent reacts to your stances. (df2 is 0 on block but it's actually -8 and ff2 is +5 on block for Lidia but it's actually -3 on block so both of them are safe). I hope this was helpful! :)

Eddy is pretty good IMO. I think people don’t know how to use him correctly. He’s no Dragunov, but he’s pretty good.
@@byZeeyayou described it perfectly. This is why I can’t keep up with high ranks with Lidia. I really like her and don’t want to drop just yet.
using this setup all the time since this vid thx
My pleasure dude!

I usually do a hell sweep but today for the first time someone read it. It’d be a great mixup to do a hop kick then HAE again. 👍👍
@@idontgetscared Good idea but keep in mind that red tape is launch punishable like you know, so d1+2 could be a better substitute

Thank you, helps a lot.
You're welcome!
@@ReinbowNeos I just have too learn these technique. I know all of her moves just have too learn Better strings
Nice tech
@@superruikiri Thank you!
pretty neat wall setup
Thank you so much!
If Lidia is plus 6, you can do hell sweeps, theyre normally safe.
Subscribe for more Lidia!
Down jabs are the bane of my existence when it comes to changing stances.... what are my options?

After a wall combo i try to go for F3,4 to get the plus on block high homing, but db3 looks way better now that i think about it
@@magigallo1291 db3 gives you so much mixup potential that't why I use it
I just do it both by my instinct, thank for let me know that
No problem!
Is UF 3 considered a “down thrust” move?
No, uf3 puts them on the ground face up unlike these 2 moves, so your opponent can toe kick or spring kick your db3
useful
Oh that's what I need to pay attention to in order to not lose to you ;)
Hehe Yeah 😄
Dude you didnt even count the overhead move after heaven and earth.
@@superpael Yeah because I don't use that move much
