Just put the medaille on my AE higgins mill. Goes on easy, does smell good.
Makes the surface a bit tacky for a couple of days. But man it made my boots look great.

Hey Kirby, I have recently purchased Saphir's Greasy Leather (neutral) and am very impressed! (Higgins Mill in brown CXL) For even better results would you recommend the Medaille d'Or Oiled Leather Cream?
Hey Kirby I just acquired my first pair of Allen Edmonds black Park Avenues!!! The shoes are even better in person! My question is it best to go straight for the full mirror polish shine out of the box? Or just a creme polish first? Don't know how it works for the break in period. (P.S. I already have all the products needed in my Arsenal) thank you.
I just picked up a pair of Thursday Boots in their new Old English (similar to dark chocolate) color and am curious which of the Saphir creams you'd recommend for a "shinier" look. Wasn't really impressed with the more matte finish of the Venetian cream Thursday recommended. Considering the Saphir greasy cream and new medaille d'or you referenced in the video. Thoughts?

What about using Saphir Renovateur for chromexcel boots instead of the Saphir Greasy Leather Cream or the Saphir M D'Or Oiled Leather Cream? Any thoughts on that?

With all the different types of leather, I'm proposing that manufactures (makers) of shoes and other leather items label what kind of leather the product is. As far as shoes they can do this inside the side somewhere by where they label the size.
What about for a AE Higgins Mill Boot that's weatherproof? Which product do I use?

Saphir Oiled Leather Cream!
How does the saphir oil leather cream compare to the saphir pomadier cream polish? What happens if I apply the cream polish on chromexcel leather? How would that differ from applying the oil leather cream on chromexcel leather? Same goes to calf leather dress shoe, what happen if I apply oil leather cream on it?
Any updates on your experience with those products you were referring to? Looking to make a purchase for oiled leather product soon. Thanks!
@@clintonross1649 I only have pomadier cream polish. I've used it on both CXl and calf leather. I don't intend on purchasing the oiled leather cream because I feel like the pomadier cream polish does pretty much the same thing. You can check out trenton and heath video on Thursday boots, they use pomadier cream polish on CXL
Do they have an oiled leather creme for burgundy CXL?

With the Saphir Md'O oiled leather cream.... after application, does one buff it off like typical cream polish, or just let it set in there like the greasy leather cream?

Omar’s Daddy Hi... so yes I do use both products mentioned in the video. First, the Saphir Greasy cream, followed by the Oiled Leather Cream. Final product is good... my boots shine, but they're not stunning. I'm guessing a typical wax polish would look sharper, but I just use these products as recommended to prolong the life of the Chrome leather.
@@gregg.9420 Using both in the order you stated sounds logical. With the second product having the protective quality he spoke of. I'm still on the fence on which one I'll be using on my black Cavalier Chromexcel Dr Martens which I may have overlaid for. I was considering using Venetian Shoe Cream which is I believe is cheaper but my gut is telling me to use one of these products because I'm wary of the waxes in VSC even though I read it's alright. I wish them to last long enough to justify a sole replacement. I hope to get at least ten years out of them so I look at the conditioner as an investment.
Was thinking about this just the other day. Leather jackets and similar items of the same softness is 99% of the time chromexcel tanned right?

Ugg, I hate that the Hanger Project charges so much for shipping. Unless you buy a lot of stuff it's just not worth it. Hard to justify $8 shipping on one shoe creme.
They don't have Burgundy or navy blue oiled cream sad.
One must be cautious with chromax or oiled leathers and Metal. These Leathers will take chrome plating right off of keychains (with keys) whistles etc etc.
Kirby, I feel like this tie is too formal a texture to be worn with that patterned, more "matte" textured jacket. I feel like this combo is something that the Gentleman's Gazette would not approve of. Just passing that along.
I'm sorry Kirby because I think your videos contain some great information, but every video is turning into an informercial for your products. I sincerely want you to do as well as you can and hope that the information you provide about being a well dressed gentleman is just that, and not all about peddling items. What's disappointing is that I really enjoy the ever descreasing bits that don't lead up to a "buy my stuff" pitch.
kirby is nowhere near as bad as Realmenrealstlye or alpha M lol
