A lot of things lined up well for D&W. Disney bought out Fox. Marvel started dealing with the concept of the Multiverse in Avengers Endgame and Phase 4, and this ending (which was in all likelihood was meant to be a throwaway gag not to be mentioned in the original plans for DP3) serving as the perfect gateway to the MCU.

As far as I'm concerned it is 100% canon in both the MCU and DCEU that Deadpool did this. That's why we never see Green Lantern in DCEU movies, plus executing Fakepool doesn't cause any continuity issues with the MCU or X-movies at all. :)

However, I think it's shown in DP1 that he uses the .50 AE version, and that only holds 7 rounds. So yeah, technically he fired almost twice as many shots as the magazine could actually hold.

I remember going to see this movie in the theater. It didnt play at all to the crowd i saw it with. When it ended and the credits rolled, people got out of their seats and began to leave. Then this post credit stuff started to play, and everything just killed. It was the funniest part of the movie.
